A Pre-order product is a product that we especially order for you from the brand. Once you place an order with us, we will order it from the brand for you.

2. How do I know when the product will be delivered?
There is a rough timeline on the product availability and once it has been confirmed with the brand, we will inform you.

3. Do you order the product from the brand as soon as I place the order?
We do not immediately order the product but add it in the upcoming order.

4. Will you be giving me updates?
Once we have ordered the product and have a confirmed timeline, we will give you an update.

5. I’d like to make changes to/cancel my order?
You can only cancel/make changes to your order until we place the order with the brand. Since the product is specifically being ordered for you, we will be unable to cancel/make changes once we order the product from the brand.

7 Day Replacement Guarantee

In case you receive the S.M.S.L - SD-9 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you
- The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein)

The unique and high-performance SOC(ARM)+CPLD architecture is at the core of the SMSL SD-9 HiFi Network Music Player. The SOC takes care of seamless decoding while the CPLD keeps a check on the clock management of the audio system. Made by dual audio frequency clocks—22.5792MHz and 24.576MHz, the audio clock system of the SD-9 significantly eliminates clock jitter so as to aid accurate audio playback. Moreover, the low noise switching power supply of the SD-9 is highly efficient. This player comes with tempered glass on the top and it supports a wide range of audio formats including MQA, DSD, WAV, APE, FLAC, AIFF and MP3.

FULL-FLEDGED MQA SUPPORT LEADING TO A REMARKABLY DETAILED STUDIO-QUALITY SOUND

Analogue to digital audio conversion causes blurring transient response that reduces audio clarity. MQA eliminates this distortion to create a true 3D sound field that makes all the difference. MQA uses 24/192 recording to remove those distortions at the beginning and the end of the transient response.

Post distortion removal, MQA adapts large-sized music files to adapt according to the playback device using a process called 'musical origami'. Packing a fully functional audio output interface, the SMSL SD-9 sports a remote window, a display screen with newly designed UI and a volume knob in the front. On the backside, it offers an optical output, 2.4G/ 5G dual-frequency antenna, Bluetooth, power AC input, LAN interface, USB 2.0 interface, USB Audio input, AES/EBU output, Coaxial output, 12S output interface and a Micro SD card slot. This network digital player supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi connection along with transmitting and receiving functions of Bluetooth. The USB DAC/I2S output extends support to up to PCM 32 bit/384kHz and DSD256.

Connectivity issues

Faced the following issues:
a) Keeps disconnecting from airplay every time a manual track change is initiated. To connect again, unit has to be switched Off and then On again.
b) Unable to connect on Hiby link controller as the SD9 does not show up as an available device.
c) Visibility on bluetooth is also sporadic (Visible sometimes, not visible at other times)

While sound quality is quite good, seems to be plagued with too many connectivity issues.

Purchase experience from headphone zone is amazing as always - Quick delivery as promised, Good packing..

Product : initial impression during 1st week is very positive, plenty of input option it almost covers everything you want in streamer including MQA compatibility. Mostly using to stream Tidal using mconnect app, output is through USB to my DAC.
Sound quality- Music feels Fuller, tight boss and wider sound stage
Product Price: personally feel little on higher side
