The most important aspect of a DAC is the DAC chips that they host and the power regulators to support those DAC chips. With this design consideration in mind, a team of engineers at S.M.S.L have structured the architecture of S.M.S.L SU-9n to accommodate high-performance power supply and ESS Sabre DAC chips. The S.M.S.L SU-9n features an industry-standard ES9038PRO Sabre DAC chip fused with an ES9311 ultra-low noise regulator that delivers detailed and precise audio conversion. The industry's highest-performance, ultra-low noise regulator, the ES9311, is designed to supply necessary reference voltages for ESS' 32-Bit SABRE DACs. The ES9311 ultra-low noise regulator (power supply) ensures low noise of 1Vrms, to push ES9038PRO to perform without generating distortion signals. The ES9038PRO is propelled to its utmost by the ES9311 ultra-low noise regulator (power supply), resulting in jitter-free audio reproduction. The S.M.S.L Su-9n performs incredibly well with this architecture and delivers exceptional performance when it comes to tonal balance, allowing all the frequencies across the frequency spectrum to shine through. The S.M.S.L SU-9n hosts an XMOS XU-208 8 Core chip with a comprehensive range of 32-Bit multicore microcontrollers that bring the low latency and timing determinism of the xCORE architecture. The XMOS XU-208 is a true 32 Bit audio processing chip that supports DoP (DSD Over PCM), Native DSD, 768kHz DSD512. The S.M.S.L SU-9n supports USB, optical, and coaxial connections as inputs with support for DSD transmission and DOP64 (DSD Over PCM). The S.M.S.L SU-9n supports DSD512 (Direct Stream Digital) and PCM 768kHz/32Bit (Pulse Code Modulation) for a Hi-Resolution audio source playback. The front baffle of the S.M.S.L SU-9n includes a knob that acts as a volume wheel, menu, and power on/off button. The S.M.S.L SU-9n has a 1.9-inch TFT LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) that lets you know the audio format, volume level, and sampling rate. Tempered glass on the LCD allows for more light transmission and a longer lifespan. The rear baffle consists of RCA output, Balanced output, Bluetooth antenna, Coaxial input, USB Input, and AC IN (Power Supply). These inputs/outputs are made of high-quality materials and are gold-plated. This setup enables you to create a desktop audio stack. The S.M.S.L SU-9n has a fully functional remote that allows you to change settings, toggle the menu, and increase or decrease volume. The remote uses two R03/AAA batteries. Step 1: Switch the input source in the SETTING MENU or press the Bluetooth button of the remote;
Step 2: Turn on the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone, search for "S.M.S.L SU-9n", and tap to pairing. When the mobile phone displays "connected", it has been successfully connected.
When you had lost the connection with the SU-9n, for example,going out, and back home, some phones will not reconnect the SU-9n if the SU-9n has not been re-boot, so you can press the Bluetooth button on the remote to Re-connect.
Long press the "Bluetooth" button on the remote control. After clearing the pairing, some phones may no longer be able to search for "S.M.S.L SU-9n". In this case, you need to delete the Bluetooth device "S.M.S.L SU-9n" which saved in the phone, and then search and pairing again.
