If you are a Bass lover, let me tell you they will never disappoint you.
They even support the Bass booster provided by Snapdragon in all Snapdragon phones. Just give them 3-4 hours for the burn up time, and then "Boom". You'll feel like sitting in a hall with all bass surrounded.
But here comes the con-
If you listen to songs which are soft with more of the lows, you might think that the bass is overshadowing the clarity. If this is your concern, go for some other earphones.
Hope this helps :)
This is an excellent set of earphones in the price tier. I had initially got the RHA MA390, but exchanged that for the Sony XB55AP as the RHA was not performing well on my Android, and also the bass was not up to the mark for my music tastes. Now I am completely satisfied with the Sony XB55AP. The bass is deep and the clarity is quite acceptable (the MA390 had slightly better clarity), though it’s ugly looking compared to the RHA pair.
Overall, quite happy.
Awesome headphone, I've always wanted a XB series headphone from Sony.My previous one was Sennheiser cx-180,Yeah,I know that they aren't bass centered, but for a comparison it's mind-blowing.But you'll have to compromise on some clarity and some tweaking with equalizer to pump out max out of it.And make sure to use the perfect fit for earbuds,if possible use the biggest one.The more tight it fits, the more bass you feel(you can even feel little vibration, sometimes it's tingly) but then it'll become uncomfortable after an hour.So when listening for long time use the perfect fit only. And very good service from headphonezone, Ordered it and received within two days, the fastest I've ever received,From Chennai to West Bengal whereas others take 5-6 days. Also the cheapest I could find online from an official Sony seller.Totally satisfied.
Exactly I had what I need from Sony xb55 and 200 percent customer satisfaction from our headphone zone congrats team headphone zone
Heavy punch bass only recommended for Bass heads if you searching for heavy bass like me then don't hesitate don't search other's, blindly go for it from our headphone zone
These are basically the same as xb50ap. Sound is great. Bass is deep. The only thing's different is the color. I ordered black but received grey color. So be aware. Grey doesn't look as good as black in my opinion.
Sony - MDR-XB55AP
Pros & Cons
1-Too heavy n Painful Over 60% volume in indoor.
2- Bass Is Pushed For every Song.
3- Equalizer Won't Make Much change. Its Ok to listen 'Without' any equalizer mode like Rock, pop, jazz etc.. Lowering Bass in custom Equalizer Makes Worst music listening experience..
Volume level feels Grt till or under 60% ..If we Go for more than 60% ,its Too heavy n painful to listen indoor even some times Out door..
Build quality is Grt n blue version is not Sky Blue its Dark Navy blue That Looks Great...
(Tried with 30k+ models (Oneplus, Mi, lg, Samsung ) Sounds same on all..
I sold it to one of my friends after using it for 1 month. It had boomy bass. The sound isn't balanced at all. Even the mic voice clarity is poor. I'll suggest staying away from Sony headphones if you're an audiophile. Buy Sennheiser or Audio Technica instead. CX275S is a better choice at a much lesser price.
Excellent quality received.
