In case you receive the Sony - MDR-MV1 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. Comfortable listening pleasure !

I used to own Bose Quiet comfort bluetooth headphones & they used to be my reference headphones while evaluating the wearing comfort of new headphones, as nothing came close to it. I recently got into the hobby of appreciating the finer nuances of music (courtesy Headphone zone and all my purchases from them - like Hifi Edition XS, iFI -hip DAC -2, Chord Mojo -2 etc. This recent purchase from Sony firmly ticks my 2 check-boxes for headphones - sound quality and wearing comfort. It is yet early days for me to give a final verdict but loving it so far...along with the wooden headphone stand from Headphone Zone (which was a sweet part of the deal !)

Is it better than the MDR-7506, at four times the cost (albeit discounted)?

YES!

I suppose 'open-back' does make a difference.

EDIT: Probably the MDR-7506 I have is a fake... the difference is night and day.

Music to my ears...

I've been in the market for an open-back headphone for over a (y)ear. I visited the Headphone Zone experience centre and tried out several headphones, and the subsequently at two of the Delhi events I listened to even more headphones. Somehow my ears just kept coming back to the Sony MDR-MV1. Possibly not the choice of many experts, but when I listen to my music from my sources on them, I just love the way they sound. Add to that the fact that they are light and comfortable and it's a bonus. The icing on the cake was the price. From an original price of nearly 60k to a more realistic 25k and finally just 20k during the "No Particular Reason Sale" they can't be beat.
