Budget Etymotic ER4!

This blew my mind. It is an insane value at this price. It has a very similar frequency response graph to etymotic er4, which is closest df neutral iem under 50k, followed closely by moondrop blessing 2.
But coming back to this, this things requires a bit of a power this things just shines with life. Vert detailed and controlled, subbass over midbass, which is crazy to see at this price and then the almost flat midrange without any bass bleed from the the recessed low end makes sure the you hear everything clearly. The soundstage is average but, but the imaging is on point.
The vocals are front and center.
Very sparkly yet non fatiguing treble.
I am still shook that they can put out stuff this insanely good for the price.
Also since it has a microphone, I used venture electronics Abigail pro to power it with my phone so I can us the incline mic. And it was able to push it volumes louder than comfortable listening levels. The matching color of the cable and the metal parts between the iems and the Abigail pro, made it feel like they were made for each other. I don't think I even bothered with the provided tips, I just slapped on some final audio type e tips, I can't comment on that if they need replacing. These things will be crazy good at this price for monitoring. The subbass rumble is satisfying, bass is there, but it isn't very authoritative, but overall tonality lens it too well at this price to get pure uncovered listening, while adding its own signature sound that sets it apart from iems worth 10 times its price.
Please get it, it's really cheap for what it is.

FEEL THE SOUND AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE

Straight out of the box and plugged into my smart phone 3.5 mm port, it sounded simple, unpretentious but subdued, even at max.volume.

However, when paired with a DAC/Amp, it blew several of my higher priced IEMs out of the water. The bass notes, mid-range and treble all became warmer but thankfully not overly-enhanced. The tuning seems ideal for crystal clear vocals, which suits the kind of music I like. Very satisfying.

The design at this price is near-perfect ; the in-ear fit is recessed just right for listening in bed - there is no pressure even when you turn onto your sides.

True sound at this price - quite unbelievable.

What exactly is value for money?

Used them for about 2 weeks, before coming here;
I will try to keep it crisp.

· Fits nicely, sounds decent enough; Has got a good instrument separation, good bass and sub-bass response - nothing exceptional anywhere, except maybe for treble. Highs felt surprisings metallic, clicky, clean, amazing but never traumatizing or excessively sharp.
· Looks cheap, feels cheap.
· Did not hurt *my* ears.

◊ Overall, they are good. I don't know what is value for money.

We really appreciate the genuine feedback, we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well!

TANCHJIM INTRODUCES THEIR ALL-NEW ENTRY-LEVEL EARPHONE - THE ZERO

Tanchjim Zero is a new IEM with a compact bullet-shaped design, a single DMT4-based dynamic driver, and an affordable price point. Despite its entry-level pricing, the IEM delivers a flagship-grade performance with its 10mm dynamic driver that utilises a composite diaphragm. Tanchjim has carefully adjusted the acoustic cavity structure for excellent audio quality and equipped the front cavity with SATTI Filter, making the pair dust and waterproof. The IEM delivers premium sound quality in a compact and ergonomic design.

FEATURING DMT4 ARCHITECTURE DYNAMIC DRIVER WITH COMPOSITE DIAPHRAGM

The Tanchjim Zero utilises a composite diaphragm made of ultra-fine fibre suspension and a beryllium-plated dome, similar to those found in high-end flagship earphones. Tanchjim's R&D team used FEA software to optimise the DMT4 architecture driver's waveguide structure, magnetic circuit, suspension quality, and diaphragm rigidity. These improvements result in a wide dynamic range, delicate high frequency, and compact bass frequency. Additionally, the Zero has objective indicators comparable to flagship in-ear HIFI earphones, and low nonlinear distortion of only 0.054% @1KHz 94dB due to the new DMT4 architecture dynamic driver.

EMPLOYS A PRECISELY DESIGNED ACOUSTIC CAVITY STRUCTURE FOR CLEAN AUDIO

Tanchjim has conducted thorough research and development to design the acoustic cavity structure of the Zero IEMs. Using Acoustic Structure Coupling ASI and Sound Transmission Loss STL technologies, the geometric structure was loaded and the internal cavity was made with fully calculated filter densities and selected housing materials. The suspension system variables were also adjusted for FEM analysis and correction, resulting in a precisely crafted acoustic structure that enhances the overall acoustic performance of the Tanchjim Zero.

UTILISES HIGH-QUALITY IMPORTED DUSTPROOF AND WATERPROOF SATTI FILTER

Tanchjim Zero IEMs have utilised SATTI filters imported from Italy attached to their front cavity, and the surface is coated with nano-materials, making them dustproof and waterproof. This filter prevents water and dust from entering the earphone. Additionally, the outer filter has a stainless steel protector, making Zero more durable. Essentially, the nozzle filter is waterproof and dustproof, reducing the likelihood of water or dust blocking the filter inside the ear canal.
