E50 is perfect for my needs. I have paired it with Topping PA 5 II amplifier to power my speakers and both of them work in tandem to give me a awesome music and gaming experience. I have connected my XBOX and mac mini to the E50 and I can switch to either inputs just on a simple tap! Thanks to Ian from Headphone zone for helping me arrive at this selection. Great inputs and outputs
I use optical input from my Sony TV and in DAC mode it gives clear and crystal clear output through RCA cable to my marantz amplifier. When I connect mobile phone via USB cable the output is much better clarity.Best DAC by Topping.

The DAC worked fine OOB. The bumps (foot) on the base of the DAC are big enough to not block the vents in your amplifier if you use 10cm AUX cables and need to seat the DAC on top of you amp. Before playing music, go to the Topping website (www.tpdz.net) and download the latest drivers and check if you have the latest firmware. The driver download ZIP file also has PDFs with detailed information how to setup DSD playback in JRiver and Foobar2000. How the DAC sounds and similar information can be found widely on the internet (like Amir's review in Audio Science Review website).

I am using the Topping E50 on my speaker chain in DAC mode. My chain is firestick -->Audio extractor optical out -->Optical in Topping E50 RCA out --> Tube preamp-->RCA in Rega IO -->Klipsch RP 600M. Streaming music via Spotify connect. I have been using the setup with other dacs for some quite sometime but without the firestick streaming (which I did recently as it was lying around and I wanted to try it as a streamer). I reached out to headphone zone with my requirement of optical in and RCA out and my speaker config Mr Danesh helped me out in selecting Topping E50 DAC, Thanks. I am very happy with its sound output. It has a neutral sound and very good instrument separation, detailed which helps me as the Klipsch's are slightly bright speakers to further mellow out the sound to my liking I have a tube preamp and Rega IO in the chain. As I am not using the balanced outs cannot comment on them.
I have used E30 previously and it's a very good DAC for Price to performance ratio. Recently I borrowed an E50 for testing purposes and I was blown away by the performance.
Best thing about this device is it supports multiple inputs, so it can be plugged to a Headphone, TV via optical, or PC via USB. It has a PreAmp functionality by which volume can be controlled via remote control but I would not recommend this feature. By default the device comes with PreAmp mode(m-p). You need to change it to Dac Mode(m-d). User manual is very detailed and very easy to reset the functionality.
Coming to performance the E50 sounds neutral and clean to my ears. This DAC is precise and accurate and doesn't emulate the source content. Sound separation is brilliant and it also improves mids, lows and stage sound. I was using E30 and integrated DAC from my amplifier. When I connected E50 to my setup, it just changed the dynamics instantly. It can easily outperform other expensive Dacs which are priced 2x - 3x. Power Adapter is not included so you need to buy it separately.
I bought 2 Dacs and the price was 17,999 during the sale. In fact if you buy it from the USA or outside it will be expensive. Thank you headphone zone for getting this awesome product.

This is a clean and detailed little beauty DAC at this price point. Very warm neutral side of the music with detailed treble yet not sharp at the edges, clear and smooth midrange with punchy bass performance. Ideal for long listening sessions.
I also own a Gustard X26 Pro and topping performs 70% of this high end DAC in my stereo setup at a very less price.
When compare to my Chord Mojo in a stereo set up, the imaging and sound stage is better than Mojo and instrument separation in on par.
Over all its a solid little DAC punching way above its weight with performance vs price ratio.
Its an awesome bargain price from Christmas Sale clubbed with Club Audiophile points.

This little beauty is an amazing DAC with excellent detail and sound quality. Have tested using the coax input so far and amazed by the sound. DSD files play like the artist is in front of you.
Definitely an upgrade from the entry level dac that I was using before this. Agree to other reviews about instrument separation being something that is immediately observed. Fully balanced at this price is super. The only thing I would have liked is an additional rca input for an additional device. However don’t feel that I would have the urge to upgrade my dac for the next few months. And yes. It’s got full mqa support. For those who believe in it 😊.
Clean and detailed. Worth it considering the price for this balanced dac. Flawless performance from it's balanced output. I have only tested as a source to powered speakers. The interface is not so straightforward. You really need to take care if you are switching from line out to pre out because there is no separate mode in dac. If you are not careful, full line out signal will go to your power amp/speaker.
Will update once I test with my headphones and IEMs (HE 4XX, HD58X, GL2000, koss kph30i, Shuoer Tape and Blon bl03) using SMSL SP200 THX 888 amp.
Edit: Upon pairing this with SMSL SP200, I realise there is a reduction in soundstage using RCA interconnect compared to XLR interconnect. This can be attributed to a crossfeed of about 10dB in single ended output from E50 dac. Other than this I really have to say this a solid dac, punching way above it's weight at this price point.
The E50 is a compact no frills bit of equipment which gets the jobs done. I'm not a certified audiophile but my ear can tell the difference it makes chained with my Denon amp and Polk towers. Sound is fuller, more open and the little details come out better whether using a CD player (mine is a 15+ year old Denon 510 AE with a TI Burr Brown DAC) or streaming sources (like an iPad or Android smartphone connected via USB). Setup is easy and the three filter modes allow tweaking of the signal to suit individual preference. This DAC came up highly recommended on many internet reviews considering the price and for what I wanted to experiment with it's done the job and gives me flexibility in further adapting my equipment chain.
It does miss a dedicated power supply adapter which is a bit of a downer but that is clear in the product description/package contents so not a surprise. I am using an international travel adapter with a USB slot output at 5V/1.5A) for staters. Also, it needs to be turned off/to standby to change key settings (maybe I haven't yet found a way to do this while the unit is on and working), which can be a bit tiring when one is trying to fine optimized filter, display, control settings.
Headphone Zone provided an easy purchase experience and delivery was smooth if a little long in waiting. But all told I'm a happy camper.
