This product is permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and continues to live on in Headphone Zone's Museum.

Unfortunately, even if we desire to, we won't be able to resurrect this product. The Museum is where we pay our respects to end-of-life, old, archived, but not forgotten products. This page was made with a lot of love and will live on for posterity. What to say, we're sentimental people. 😔

While this product is gone forever, here are others we recommend

Customers praised this as an excellent entry-level IEM with exceptional soundstage, clarity, and balanced sound. Many noted it reveals details "never heard before" in familiar songs. "Best quality for the price" with comfortable fit and premium cable. Some customers felt bass was lacking or sound was darker than expected, and a few reported eartip fit issues.

  • Made me understand what actual soundstage is, still going strong after 3 years
  • Can't believe under 2k can produce such balanced tone
  • I have been hearing sounds in songs that I have never heard before

My favourite budget iem

There are some IEMs that Headphone Zone India provides that make me want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart... especially for a budget-limited music lover like me. The HOLA is definitely one of those gems! ❤️

Leaves you wanting

Audio devices that I've used/experienced in the past-
KZ ZSN Pro
Sennheiser CX180
Audio Technica CLR100
Bose 700
Airpods Pro

Now a breakdown of the Hola's sound:

Sub-bass-
Enough rumble to enjoy genres like hip-hop. Not bloated.

Mid-bass-
Lacking. Certain tracks lack the energy required to be fun.

Mids-
Ascertaining the quality of mids requires experience and nuanced listening. I am new to the hobby so all I will say is this, every IEM/headphone I have used to this date sounds more "hollow" in comparison to the Hola. I attribute this to the mid-scoop inherent to the typical V-shaped sound signature of consumer IEMs. Vocals are enjoyable on the Hola, female vocals more so than male ones.

Highs-
This is where it leaves me wanting more. The tuning in this area is slightly dark (less sharp) which I prefer, but the technical capability of the Hola is only as good as other sets in its price range. It doesn't sound fuzzy but also not the most detailed up top. Instrumental tracks are a mixed bag, some I enjoy thoroughly on the Hola, while others feel like the wrong frequencies are in focus. Sibilance only becomes an issue on particular tracks at high volumes. Long listening sessions are not an issue.

Misc-
Imaging and separation are about average. Since the mids aren't recessed you hear details that would otherwise be missing. On busy tracks, things can get a little lost in the mix.

Soundstage is also fairly average, on tracks that play with instrument placement or those 3D-esque sound manipulations, it doesn't go beyond what one expects from a stereo pair.

Gaming-
I can only speak for Valorant, the imaging is just average. In situations where threats from multiple directions need to be handled, these don't provide the necessary emphasis. 'Fresh reviews' on YouTube deals with the gaming side of audio very well. The cheapest sets in his recommendation are the Simgot EW200 and the 7Hz Sonus.

P.S.-
I used these with the Apple USB-C dongle. Works flawlessly on my laptop with more than enough power. On my Pixel 7A however, the voltage limit of the dongle kicks in (half volume problem). I remedied this with 'Neutron Player'. If you are experiencing something similar look it up on Reddit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our Truthear - HOLA product. We appreciate your detailed breakdown of the sound and your comparisons to other audio devices. We really appreciate the genuine feedback, we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. Happy listening!

Best start to my audiophile journey

I've been intrigued by the audiophile community for quite some time now. After research and understanding, different graphs and keywords, I was ready for my audiophile journey.
As this was my first IEM, I was quite skeptical of investing a larger amount. So I went for a budget IEM. And I'm impressed.
The Bass is Balanced, and treble being on a little brighter side but just the right amount and the clarity and seperation between beats can be distinguished.
I chose this over CHU 2 because it felt more durable, and I'm a rough user.
I'm not disappointed, a very comfortable IEM, with durable cables and Good tuning.

We're glad to hear that you've enjoyed your experience with Truthear - HOLA! We think that it's a great start to your audiophile journey - and we're sure that you'll appreciate the balanced bass and bright treble. Thanks for your feedback!

Truthear Hola

Really great, I had doubts since I was more familiar with v-shaped sound signature from the KZs, but I was really surprised when I heard the balanced sound signature of these. Undoubtedly the best option under 2k.

Hey Samriddha, thank you so much for the awesome review!

Excellent IEM.

Very good and prompt delivery by Headphone Zone. I'm no audiophile, but the sound quality from the Truthear Hola is outstanding. I've been using the Final Audio E3000 and the Hola beats it hands down.

The wire is of very good quality and build of the IEM is excellent. The Truthear Hola has an overall warm tuning with a neutral midrange and a relaxed treble response, and the Hola’s overall resolution is very good for the price point.

Hey Pankaj, thank you so much for the amazing feedback! It means a lot to us. We are so happy to hear that you are loving our products and services.

Fulfilled expectations

Overall it was good, detailed, I am hearing new sounds for the first time in songs which I used to listen earlier.
Bot For me it feels like left side earpiece is more detailed than right side.
I'm not sure why.
I'm not saying that right side buds are not detailed at all. Even the right side one is detailed but it feels like left is even better detailed than right.

Thank you for your review. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the Truthear - HOLA earbuds! We think you should try using the IEM with different devices and let us know if there is a difference in the sound output.

Great IEM

Balanced and the instruments are well separated, i would prefer the bass to be mild. Overall excellent IEM....also highly recommended to BurnIn for at
least 8 hours, it made a major difference in the sound quality.

Hey Abhishek, thank you so much for the awesome review!

Good enough for bass users.

I like music of all kinds, but it seems the mids and treble are a bit lower than i expected. Using it VE pro DAC . So, configuring it in Peace equalizer according to my tastes(I didn't use autoeq) , Sounds are much better now. For android, using Jamesdsp for the equalizer. I will send my equalizer settings here. And it fits in my ear great, but my ears are starting hurting later, I saw that it takes time for getting used to it. Anyways, its a great budget IEM for anyone trying to invest on it first.

Thanks for the review! Glad you're enjoying Truthear - HOLA.

  • Balanced Output

We often say balanced output is like using both hands to carry something heavy it distributes power evenly and keeps things stable. In audio gear, balanced output helps reduce unwanted noise and interference, especially over longer cables. Think of it as a cleaner, more efficient way to transmit your music, ideal for anyone using high end DACs, amps, or studio grade headphones 🎧. You’ll typically find it on gear with XLR or 4.4mm connectors, and it's a must have if you’re chasing that ultra clean signal path.

Here’s what’s actually happening: a balanced output uses two separate signals, one inverted, so when interference is picked up along the cable, it gets cancelled out when the signals are recombined. The result? Cleaner audio, better dynamic range, and more power output especially when paired with balanced headphones. The trade off? You’ll need gear that supports balanced connections on both ends to really enjoy the benefits.

When you see '⚖️ Balanced Output' products, expect: ultra low noise, more headroom, and better synergy with high impedance headphones or sensitive IEMs ideal for serious listening setups.

  • Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth

We tend to describe Bluetooth audio as wireless freedom with fewer strings attached literally. When you see Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth, it means you can pair your headphones or IEMs with phones, laptops, or even TVs all without reaching for a cable 🎶. It’s convenient, clutter free, and great for everyday listening.

What’s happening behind the scenes is your gear is using Bluetooth codecs like SBC, AAC, LDAC, or aptX to compress and transmit your music wirelessly. Better codecs mean higher quality and lower latency. Of course, there’s a trade off Bluetooth won’t match the quality of wired gear, but today’s advancements have made the gap much smaller than before.

When you see '✂️ Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth' products, expect: tangle free convenience and solid sound quality great for commuting, workouts, or casual listening.

  • Battery Life

In our experience, battery life is one of those things that separates a good day from a frustrating one. It's like having a fuel gauge you can rely on longer battery life means less charging and more uninterrupted music. Whether you're on a flight or just commuting across town, this is one spec you don’t want to overlook 🔋.

Technically, battery life refers to the hours your device can play music on a single charge. Today’s headphones and DACs can range from 4 to 40+ hours, depending on things like Bluetooth codec, volume, and active features like ANC. More battery life also means better travel and portability, though it might come at the cost of size or weight.

When you see '⏳ Battery Life' products, expect: longer listening sessions, fewer charging breaks, and stress free portability for music that goes the distance.

  • DAC Chip

We like to say the DAC chip is the heart of any audio device it’s the part that actually transforms digital files into music you can hear 🎧. Think of it like a chef decoding a recipe to create a delicious meal. The better the DAC chip, the more faithfully it translates your music. And in my experience, a great DAC can completely change how your headphones sound.

Now, here’s what’s actually happening: a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) takes digital signals (your MP3s, FLACs, or streams) and converts them into an analog waveform your ears can enjoy. Different DAC chips like those from ESS, AKM, or Cirrus Logic offer their own sound signatures, levels of clarity, and noise performance. A good DAC ensures accurate timing, minimal distortion, and exceptional resolution.

When you see '⚙️ DAC Chip' products, expect: clean, detailed audio and better synergy with high quality headphones perfect for anyone upgrading from average sound to audiophile quality.

  • Power Output

We like to think of power output in audio gear like engine horsepower, it determines how much muscle your setup really has 💪. Whether you’re trying to drive a pair of power hungry planar headphones or just want headroom for dynamic peaks, power output is the spec you want to check first.

Technically, it refers to the amount of electrical power (measured in mW or Watts) an amp or DAC/Amp combo can deliver to your headphones. More power means better control, improved dynamics, and the ability to handle demanding gear without distortion. But more isn’t always better, too much power with sensitive IEMs can introduce hiss or harshness.

When you see '🚀 Power Output' products, expect: strong driving capability, better dynamics, and optimal performance with headphones that need serious juice to shine.

"The cable is really nice and solid, very little microphonics, and there isn't any complaint about its impact on sound quality. It is currently my favourite stock cable among the other sub-$20 rivals."
"The HOLA provide an excellent price-to-performance ratio and are relatively well-accessorized, with a quality build, and above-average isolation. The conservative tuning renders it suitable for long listening sessions."
the Truthear HOLA IEMs are a good value proposition that delivers tidy and tight bass, transparent midrange, and a sleek and well-balanced treble response.
The Hola scores well in terms of both sub-bass rumble and mid-bass slam. The Hola’s bass response is also highly textured.
The HOLA is a definitely improvement in fit and comfort relative to the previous two Truthear IEMs courtesy its svelter form factor and shorter nozzle that isn't as wide either.
