This product is permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and continues to live on in Headphone Zone's Museum.

Unfortunately, even if we desire to, we won't be able to resurrect this product. The Museum is where we pay our respects to end-of-life, old, archived, but not forgotten products. This page was made with a lot of love and will live on for posterity. What to say, we're sentimental people. 😔

While this product is gone forever, here are others we recommend

Customers praised the excellent sound quality and soundstage for a closed-back headphone at this price point. Many noted the build feels cheap with thin plastic and shallow stock pads causing discomfort, but recommended aftermarket pad swaps for improved bass and comfort. "Sounds like an Open back Can" with immersive audio when properly equipped.

  • A Closed back that almost sounds like an Open back Can.
  • Good soundstage for a closed back with decent cheap pair.
  • Sound was actually pretty good, made them sound mad good with aftermarket pads.

A Highly Misunderstood Pair of Cans

Yes, it's built is not of the best materials, It's pads are not great, it's bass can feel recessed at times. Then is this misunderstood? For it's price, there is no competition at all to provide the sound quality and sound stage that it does. A Closed back that almost sounds like an Open back Can. Materials might be feel cheap and light, but hard plastic will last. Simple mechanical build will have less failure points. For such a low price you get a completely DIY style moddable headphones. VE continues their sound first, unboxing experience last philosophy here too to make their headphone be priced so low. For someone graduating from a cheap 2k iem that lasts one summer, for just a bit more money, they are getting a studio monitor that punches waaay above it's weight. And YES, there is bass where it exists in the mastering. It's not an audiophile headphone, but more of an exciting studio monitor sound. It's very Immersive, especially with the proper DAC. Even without a DAC, It is pretty decent on a high end device like my IPad Pro (i haven't checked Iphones). Hearing Fanaa gave me goosebumps and a chill behind the ears. Never knew it sounded so immersive. But I must admit some punchy songs I found extremely exciting in a V shaped Bass boosted IEM (you know what i'm talking about) sounded less exciting on this one.

Thank you for choosing us, Christy. The Venture Electronics Supernova is a great pick for anyone who truly cares about how their music sounds. Enjoy the sessions! 🙏

Sounds Good With A Pad Swap

Out of the box these are thin sounding due to the stock pads which are shallow.
But with good soundstage for a closed back.

It's build with cheap materials but it should last long. Cables are alright but orange one is rather stiff.

These perform better with aftermarket pads, brainwavz perforated pads make the bass better and are more comfortable.

In short these are a decent cheap pair if you want to experiment with different pads. Plus these pair great with the Megatron

Hey Raviraj, thank you so much for the awesome review!

Sounds excellent, is very light but feels so cheap

The headphone box was good minimal and very little in wasted materials, accessories were just 2 cables (both I would say are pretty shit), though the orange cable wouldnt remind you of those old land lines so is more palatable. Ie stay away from the coiled cable it's just looking for an excuse to get tangled I tested it for a few hours and never again. The build is suprisingly cheap though i would assume it should last, though I am a bit worried that they are using a very thin connection cable from the left to the right channel through the metal band as i couldn't see it. So there is a possibility of that breaking (unlikely but depending on how thin it would be it's a possibility). The sound was actually pretty good but to achieve that the stock pad is horrendous, it's extremely shallow and ears started hurting in minutes. Though a cheap aftermarket pad should fix that(brainwavz make some good yet cheap pads, I would pick the fenestrated "leather" or velvet pads , personally picked the fenestrated "leather" pads up, whose using actually made them sound mad good. And also gave it a good sub bass boost though not overpowering or something I would call bassy.
Tldr good headphone cheap feeling, suprisingly good sound quality but most definitely change the pads

We really appreciate the genuine feedback, we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well!

Some doubt

HI, nice review but I disagree with a couple of points.
Materials: these headphones are made almost entirely of plastic except for the arc. And seems cheap and light plastic (but who known). Also the cushion is only lighty padded.
But they are quite confortables and lights (although over time they press on the ears).

As for the sound quality, I don't know. I've only been listening to them for 2 hours, but so far I can't cry out for a miracle. The bass is quite low (I don't like headphones full of bass, but I'm not sure if these are enough) and as for the sound stage, everything seems flat. I hope it improves with a few more hours of listening.
For the price (about 50$) they are good, but for me not so far from AKG or Sennheiser or other for the same price.

FEATURING A 50MM DYNAMIC DRIVER DELIVERING PRISTINE AUDIO PERFORMANCE

The Supernova features a 50mm dynamic driver with a neodymium magnet that ensures music is clear and has a natural layered low-frequency response. Neodymium magnets are usually lighter in weight and smaller in size, which makes them ideal for headphones. Neodymium magnets produce higher sensitivity and greater sound output but use less power. They can contribute to reproducing music at a high sound pressure level by utilising magnetic flux. Neodymium magnets enable you to enjoy headphones with exceptional sound quality. With these design concepts in mind, the engineers at Venture Electronics use the neodymium magnet for its dynamic driver setup with the Supernova. The Supernova displays excellent attributes when reproducing low frequencies.
