Scary installation quality sound improvement.

Tore through 2 of the extra felt pads trying to remove the 3m gum tape. Would recommend to have sharp nails or an exacto knife to help with installation. Now about the new open cell earpads, the improvement to sound is noticeable as is the decrease to comfort in the old memory cell pads. The mids become smoother and the sound becomes a touch less sharp with a bump in low bass compared to when the memory cell pads were new. Overall quite an improvement to sound as I prefer slightly colored sound characteristics of the LCD series.

Audeze replacement ear pads for lcd x

After heavy studio use (and i do mean Heavy) - the ear pads on the lcdx do loose some adhesive properties. Luckily they do provide replacements :). It took headphone zone 1 day to deliever the replacment.... 1 day ! That too during a pandemic! Honestly blown away by thier incredible customer support. Thank you Audeze and thank you Headphone Zone !
