4TH GENERATION PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVER FOR DETAILED AND DISTORTION-FREE AUDIO

The team at Dan Clark Audio spent four years developing the newly featured drivers in the Stealth. These headphones feature an all-new 4th generation planar magnetic driver delivering incredibly low distortion throughout the listening range with levels of detail only found in the top of the line headphones. Stealth's 4th-generation drivers deliver an amazing balance of intricacy, nuance and grit that will have you reaching for all your favourite recordings. The driver uses DCA's patented v-Planar technology to reduce total harmonic distortion and improve low-frequency extension.

PROPRIETARY ACOUSTIC METAMATERIAL TUNING SYSTEM (AMTS) DELIVERING INCREDIBLE RESOLUTION

Every headphone is subject to the issue of high-frequency standing waves making the treble sound harsh, fatiguing and synthetic. To solve this, the team at Dan Clark Audio developed a new tuning system called AMTS. AMTS is a patent-pending inline device placed between the transducer and ear. What it does is integrates waveguides, diffusion control, quarter-wave and Helmholtz resonators into one compact structure. Diffusion reduces some standing wave formation, while resonators act as both precision and broad filters to smooth and shape the frequency response. AMTS renders high frequencies with a refreshingly smooth, accurate, and detailed delivery across all genres. Further added to this, the diaphragm is made on an all-new system for a more uniform and consistent tension, lower distortion, and better matching.

ERGONOMICALLY CRAFTED WITH A FOLDABLE DESIGN MAKING IT EASY TO CARRY AROUND

Comfort is an essential factor when it comes to headphone design. If they are not comfortable to wear, the design is flawed. The designers at Dan Clark Audio understood this concept and employed radical design choices in the Stealth headphones. These headphones feature ultra-soft ear pads and weigh just 415g, making them one of the lightest premium headphones. The earpads are made of vegan suede and leather, offering self-adjusting suspension. For easy storage and transportation, the Stealth has been equipped with an elegant folding gimbal, allowing it to fold into a compact case that's small and easy to pack.

PREMIUM QUALITY MECHANICAL DESIGN INSPIRED BY STEALTH AIRCRAFTS

Dan Clark Audio’s design goal is to never compromise on sound, comfort, or aesthetics and this is reflected very well in the Stealth headphones. Stealth is designed and built by hand in San Diego, California, and is backed by quality and support you can count on. The headphone takes its design cues from the stealth aircraft and is refined to levels you would expect in the finest of luxury cars. The ear cups are made of carbon/aluminium bonded material, while the body uses titanium. The Stealth also features NiTiNol (nickel and titanium) headband wires, but the two wires are in a more open, "flying" design rather than strictly parallel. The leather headband's fine red stitching creates a quilted head-strap that’s not only gorgeous but is also functional and comfortable and the headband strap itself is designed differently. Instead of adjusting with ratchets or mechanical sliders, the headband features a "self-adjusting suspension system." It's on an elastic that allows it to easily fit without needing manual adjustment.
