ddHiFi - TC07S USB-C to USB-C OTG Cable

This is my 2nd cable order of the ddHifi TC07S cable. This is the only higher quality silver core data cable model in the ddHifi lineup that is compatible with Chord Mojo 2 and Apple devices. Chord Mojo 2 is very picky with cables. Any Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable will also work but the sound is not cleaner with Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable in my case compared to the apple dongle and chord mojo2 2026 short micro usb cable combination. I realised it is due to the Thunderbolt cable has been designed to prioritise speed and high power delivery while the USB 2.0 is perfectly more than adequate to carry the sound signal with less power delivery in the cable resulting in less noise. Despite the best cable construction of Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable with separate shielding on each internal wire, the sound quality is not as good as the TC07S cable. You don't have to be an Audiophile to hear the difference. Just try the ddHifi TC07S out if you get a chance. I hooked up the TC07S with my iPad Pro M4 to Chord Mojo2 to Sennheiser Flagship HD820 Headphones and i was shocked how amazing the HD820 sound. Chord Mojo 2 & ddHifi TC07S cable have transformed the sound output of the HD820 like a completely different headphones. With TC07s cable the Bass got tighter & quicker, dark background during instruments pause, improved instrument separation, vocals and imaging. Overall, everything sounder just perfect without any latency compared to copper based cables. I think this has to do with the solid silver data wires in the TC07S. Now the downside is you will keep spending more, i immediately got sucked in to ddHifi brand and ordered more of them and also ordered another flagship TC19CC Gold edition. I have spent lakhs over the years on cables buying almost every type of Audioquest, Nordost & isotek cables for my Home Cinema and not one of them could beat the ddHifi cables in terms of value proposition for the money one spends for them. I am now totally in to ddHifi products and will be ordering more as long as they make the same high quality products without turning them in to snake oil like Audioquest. IMO, Audio industry is full of snake oil salesmen and a lot of deception trying to extort more for very little difference. For this reason many good companies like ddhifi suffer from the bias. Cables do make a difference just as a DAC makes a difference which is of less percentage compared to the actual devices like speakers, headphones and acoustics. As an experienced self made DIY Audio enthusiast, victim and beneficiary of the audio industry, i highly & highly recommend ddHifi products.

Out of the box cable looks premium, nicely built and sturdy. It has improved the overall clarity, soundstage, detailing. I can hear huge difference in sound. It is worth the price. Huge upgrade from stock USB C cable received with the DAC.

If you are using a dongle DAC and lower end gear, please save your money. This adapter is made to reduce white noise and microphonics on higher end gear, typically all BA IEMs that are incredibly sensitive. This has done the job for my ThieAudio V16 Divinity in reducing the noise floor.

I bought it for the purpose of reducing emi interference with my cayin ru6, because it has separte wires to transmit data and power. But, I got completely disappointed, as it doesn't help at all in this regard. However I can sense more air, into the audio signal. The soundstage is bigger now. It changed my misconception of wires can't change sound quality. Anyways I didn't purchase this for that purpose.Build quality and aesthetics are excellent, still I shall level this as an overpriced product.

It makes a world of difference compared to the standard USB C to C cable because, there is no static. The sound quality 1 gets as a result is excellent.

However, I did not know it is a bi-directional cable when ordering.

I would really like an unidirectional OTG Cable (to avoid drainage of my android when playing on the Mojo 2 2026).

But you have none in stock, do get some (I would really like the 4 or, better still, the 10 inch cable, preferably the Gold edition with gold-plated connectors).

I think it increases resolution. And the stage I think was looking slightly better. And depending on the audio source DAC-AMP may change the signature of the sound if I talk technically perhaps. Bass was sharp and speedy. But the way I was perceiving resolution in this case the sound became a bit of artificial to me. So for a very much warm or less detailed DAC-AMP who wants to add some sparkle and resolution to it perhaps may work better. I preferred TC09S better. But still for TC07S I'll give 5 star. It's a tool to use it perhaps wisely and accordingly depending on the audio source and our preference.

Excellent quality. Does what it is supposed to do.

Right from the day one after this ddHiFi - TC07S USB-C to USB-C OTG cable I was not leaving a single minute while listening any dongle DAC. It's improved a bass and zero noise and there is not at all any kind of noise. It's improved sound quality like mids and bass with smooth treble. Thanks once again to HPX for providing such a wonderful product.
