In case you receive the DENAFRIPS - Ares 15th with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession

Sampling Rate:

Imagine your favourite song as a complex rollercoaster track. The sampling rate refers to how often the DAC takes measurements of this digital track, measured in kHz (kilohertz) or thousands of times per second. A higher sampling rate, like 96 kHz, is like taking a ton of pictures of the track, capturing every twist and turn with incredible detail. Lower rates, like the standard 44.1 kHz used in CDs, are like taking snapshots at a theme park – fun, but you might miss some of the subtler details that make the ride truly exhilarating.


Bit Depth:

The most notable upgrade from previous Ares DACs is the inclusion of two LPNO “Low Phase Noise Oscillator” clocks. Achieving jitter-free digital music playback is critical for superior analog sound. Simply adding the clocks is not enough; special attention to the power supply and other engineering details is crucial to enhancing sound quality. The Ares 15th R-2R also utilizes an Altera FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for its Digital Signal Processing, offering an unparalleled musical journey.

IMPROVED LINEAR POWER SUPPLY AND LDO REGULATORS DELIVER JITTER-FREE AUDIO

The DENAFRIPS Ares 15th R-2R features an enhanced Linear Power Supply, integrated with a custom capacitors bank branded 'DENAFRIPS,' all crafted to precise audio specifications. Alongside constant current LDO Linear Regulators, a substantial heatsink is securely affixed. To meet the power demands of the FPGA, modular USB module, and balanced R-2R Ladder Networks, eight multi-stage LDO Linear Regulators are utilised. DENAFRIPS goes a step further by hand-winding the oversized 60VA O-Core transformer, meticulously adding multiple layers of UP-OCC copper shielding between the windings to effectively reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic fields (EMF).

The DENAFRIPS Ares 15th R-2R now features an anodised aluminium chassis available in both silver and black, catering to those who prefer a more compact DAC with a silver finish. Building on the success of its predecessor, the Ares 15th R-2R enhances the impressive build quality of the original Ares. This new version includes an I²S input and redesigned front and back panels. The I²S connection ensures compatibility with the DENAFRIPS DDC (Digital To Digital Converter) and other I²S transport options. The front panel now includes input selection buttons for USB, COAX, OPT, I2S, OS/NOS, Phase, and Mute. The rear panel offers XLR and RCA analogue outputs, and Coax, Optical, I2S, and USB inputs, providing increased flexibility.
