I have truthear hexa which I bought from headphonezone. It's neutral tone is what I bought it for. It has good imaging but the soundstage is very narrow. It feels like all the instruments played are in a very small room. I used it with a dongle dac which comes with CX31993 + MAX97220 chip. I love the IEM but wonder if the soundstage could be widen. Then I stumbled upon this Moondrop FreeDsp Mini. After comparing it with many other dongle dac, I made the purchase. To my surprise, it's soundstage improved a lot. It now sounds like all instruments played are in a larger hall than before and still maintaining the clarity and neutral tone of the hexa. It's almost been a day since I bought this dongle and I am very happy with its performance. It also support PEQ app for Android and it can be don on the browser too if it's plugged in to a PC. The build quality is also very good. I 100% recommend this dongle dac to anyone who do not want to use balanced cable but prefer to stick with single ended cable with inline mic.

Good, solid build quality. Haven't played around with the parametric EQ much yet, am loving it. I haven't faced any heating issue even when using it for a couple of hours at a stretch.
The Moondrop Freedsp mini delivers way above it's paygrade! The online tuning profiles can really chnage and transform your iem's into something totally new. Digging it so far, can't wait to come across some amazing tunes.

I will think twice before ordering anything expensive because they cheap out on delivery partners they sent my order through DTDC instead of bluedart and DTDC being the worst delivery service did not even attempt to deliver to me it was just sitting at my local DTDC office for 2 days I had to go there myself to pick it up in the end and DTDC doesn't even have OTP delivery. DAC works as expected but get's warm fast.

I usually don’t give 5-star ratings, but this one deserves it.
At first glance the FreeDSP Mini looks quite ordinary, but once you pair it with the official Moondrop app (available on both Play Store and App Store), the experience changes completely. The combination delivers fantastic audio quality by completely bypassing the phone’s internal audio hardware and sending a clean signal straight to the DAC.
It performs better than I expected and, in my opinion, sets the benchmark in this price range.

I have a very old Fiio X5 3rd gen. It was worth ₹20k when i got it way back when. This little dongle is better that it, without even having a balanced output. I mostly listen to metal and rock. I've coupled the Fiio F9 triple driver IEMs with this Moondrop. Given that they're a pair of old IEMs as well, when coupled with the dongle the instrument separation is pretty great. The distorted guitar tones are bright and detailed. The kick drums are tight and decay quickly. The bass guitars are clear and can be picked out easily. The sound stage isn't that great, however, the IEMs may be more to blame for that. And all this is without even going into the web-based parametric EQ. With that i can fine-tune everything with a low-pass filter to peaking EQ settings. At this price, I don't think there can be anything better out there.Don't think, go for it.

From the moment of delivery till the opening and use of the dongle it was sheer bliss and I was sure that Moon has dropped in. The looks exude lustre, solidly built and aristocratic with a lustre of elegance. The pouch provided inside is nice and of utility and quality .The Dongle is premium in and out. No exaggeration. Smartness written all over in tandem with the fierce competition prevailing in this segment. The audio is nothing short of bliss. Smooth, velvety, warm, musical , technically astute, soothing with a tinge of intoxication found often in TOTL DAPs. In short it's impossible not to fall in love with this. It does not drain the pocket also , budget friendly. What more to expect with all corners of criticism well taken care of.
In short, a worthwhile investment for the casual listener to the purist Audiophile.
