What is the warranty period on the FiiO BTR17 and how do I claim warranty?
What should I do if the BTR17 does not work normally?
1. Clear the pairing information on your phone
Go to Settings-Bluetooth to delete the BTR17 pairing information and reconnect it to BTR17
2. Clear the pairing information on BTR17
When it is on, hold both the volume- and volume+ buttons at the same time for about 5s.
3. Reset operation
Hold the Power button for at least 16 seconds to reset it.
How to enter pairing mode in BT mode? How to clear the pairing list of BTR17?
How to enter Bluetooth pairing mode?(not on the menu page)
1. If the device is never paired: After the device powers on, it will automatically enter the pairing mode with the display showing “PAIRING”;
After the device restarted, it will reconnect to the last connected device automatically.
2. Force the device to enter pairing mode: After the device is successfully connected, hold the next track button for about 5s until the display shows “PAIRING”.
[Note]The BTR17 will enter pairing mode automatically when turned on for the first time or after clearing pairing.
How to clear the pairing list of BTR17?
When it is on, hold both the volume- and volume+ buttons at the same time for about 5s.
How to switch Bluetooth codec for BTR17?
There is a Bluetooth code selection option of BTR17 in the FiiO Control. You could select the Bluetooth codecs you want to use on the BTR17 via that option. The codecs that are not selected will be disabled.
If you would like to use other Bluetooth codec（Like LDAC）, please follow this steps for help:
1. Enter FiiO Control app-BTR17-Status
2. Click'Select Bluetooth code'
3. Cancel the selection of the Bluetooth you don't want to enable ,then click'ok'
4. The BTR17 will automatically restart and adapt the appropriate Bluetooth codes to connect to the phone according to the Bluetooth protocols selected in the list.
Note: The iOS device only supports SBC and AAC Bluetooth codec. And the default Bluetooth codec will be AAC.
How to update the Bluetooth and XMOS firmware of BTR17?
XMOS V1.32 Firmware Update: click here
BTR17 Bluetooth V1.25 and XMOS V1.32 firmware changes are as follows:
Bluetooth V1.25
Added bitrate display for aptX Adaptive/Lossless codecs.
Modified UI display color for aptX Lossless codec.
Fixed the issue where charging could sometimes only reach 60% after enabling charging protection.
XMOS V1.32
Fixed the issue where PS5 might not be recognized in UAC 1.0 mode.
Notes:
When playing under aptX Lossless codec, it may take some time (normally around 30 seconds) before stably entering lossless mode. The bitrate in lossless mode will dynamically vary between 1 Mbps and 1.2 Mbps depending on the audio data.

How to control the BTR17 in the FiiO Control App?
1. Please update the Control App to the latest version (Click the link to get the latest Android version:
2. Ensure that the Control App is the latest version. Enter My devices->Tap the BTR17 to complete the connection. After a successful connection, it will enter the Bluetooth control menu.
EQ
1. When the mobile phone is connected to BTR17 in PC/PHONE mode, the output volume will be lower after enabling EQ: the volume of the mobile phone can be enabled after enabling EQ, and the default volume of the mobile phone becomes only half. At this time, please turn the volume of the mobile phone to the maximum.
2. When the mobile phone is connected to BTR17 in PC/PHONE mode, there will be noise when playing MQA with EQ function on: MQA tracks are not supported in EQ mode.
FiiO control APP works in both BT mode and wired decoding mode.

I was looking for a wireless solution. Satisfied with the DAC!
The DAC really shines when played with LDAC 96k using "Alternative A2DP Driver" on Windows.
The device needs some improvements:
- The microphone works only in Bluetooth mode, not in USB mode.
- The provided cover needs to secure the top side. The device easily slides up when USB cable is pushed from the bottom.
Since the device is small, the Bluetooth range of the transmitting device matters. With the Galaxy M36 phone, I am achieving a line-of-sight range of more than 11 meters on LDAC 96k protocol. For the computer, added a 12dBi external RP-SMA antenna with extension cable because the default motherboard antenna is only 3dBi.

Bluetooth coverage between walls is average ...not perfect. Does the job mostly. Alot of features work well.. the whole purpose gets same sound results vs Onix X1. Bluetooth volume levels doesn't work as expected waiting for firmware to make the volume between devices work fine. You get 60 max volume which is good. Have only tested it upto 20 ohms and absolutely power horse without much battery drain. It looks cool and sound stage is good..delivers what it promises. It's a tad tad..better then oppo enco x2. Do I recommend it .. no because of the price.. I don't recommend it.

I’ve been using the FiiO BTR17 mainly with my 7Hz Legato, and honestly, this little device surprised me more than I expected.
The first thing you notice is power.
For a portable Bluetooth DAC/amp, the BTR17 has serious muscle.
Even though the Legato isn’t difficult to drive, the BTR17 gives it a sense of authority—bass hits harder, dynamics feel more alive, and there’s a confidence in the sound that cheaper dongles or older Bluetooth DACs simply don’t deliver.
Sound Performance with 7Hz Legato
The Legato is a bass-forward IEM, and the BTR17 handles it beautifully.
Bass: Deep, textured, and controlled. Sub-bass rumble is strong but never muddy. The BTR17 keeps the Legato’s dual-dynamic bass punchy without bleeding into the mids.
Mids: Warm and natural. Vocals sound fuller and more present, especially male vocals and dialogue in movies.
Treble: Smooth, non-fatiguing, and clean. No harshness, even at higher volumes.

My old BTR5 started having battery issues, which meant I could not use it for travelling as the battery would drain within an hour. Hence, I bought the BTR17 as a replacement. This DAC/AMP does everything the BTR5 did but better and MORE.
BTR17 is all about more power and with that Fiio has done a stellar job of power management and options for power management. The sound quality is VERY good as well. The build quality is top notch and I love the volume wheel.
Finally, I want to give a shoutout to the Headphone Zone support team. I bought the wrong colour BTR17 a couple of days before my travel. I contacted the support team and asked them if they could ship the colour I wanted, and if I the shipment would reach before I left for my holiday. To my surprise not only did they change the unit in my order but also ensured that my package would be delivered to me before I left. companies do not usually help customers in these tight scenarios where the customer is at fault, but these guys did and that is what customer support is all about. I am genuinely happy that India finally has a dedicated place to buy audiophile equipment and to top it off they have an amazing team.

As I was spectacle to buy because of its price point. But after installation of fifo control app with equaliser settings listening I felt satisfied with its audio crispness and power its Genarates. Audiophiles passion will make keep listening continuously. Only thing is it won’t play ldac codec from iPhone but AAC sound is also great through this. Still exploring.

With Bluetooth its very good until I paired it directly to my phone through the C type connector and now I was in a studio with a blessing to my ears.
Amazing experience it is!
But I tried it with i15 and I am going to use it with i12 which has lightning port and not the C type So I request team Headphone zone to get to arrange a lightning to type C connector to attach it with BTR17 So that I can get actual HiRes audio. With Bluetooth AAC of apple it is an average device.
So, team headphone zone please help in this regard.
