Headphone Connect started in 2015 as friends passing headphones around a room. BYOG: Bring Your Own Gear. It was simple. Share what you love, try what others brought, geek out together.
It's grown into one of India's largest audiophile gatherings. But it's still the same idea: a room full of people who care about music, sharing the best gear on the planet.
The energy of the whole event was on a different level. From the young people to people over 50, everyone was equally excited.
Had so much fun, got to try so many fantastic headphones! Already missing it and eagerly waiting for the next connect!

I'm not an audiophile, but I love great sounding music. I've always wanted to know what these high end audiophile headphones sound like.

I had a mad awesome time at the Bangalore Headphone Connect. I tried a lot of different headphones and IEMs powered by various amp/dac systems. I got the most impressed with the Stax headphones. What does the Headphone Connect Access Pass include?
In a nutshell, it's your passport to an audiophile's paradise. It's your chance to reconnect with your beloved music on some of the world's most exceptional headphones, often referred to by many audiophiles as "priceless." Beyond experiencing headphones and IEMs, you'll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for sound and form new friendships. The Access Pass also treats you to a delightful High Tea experience. Most people who've been call it priceless. We think they're right.
Do I need to get my set-up along?
It is a BYOG (Bring Your Own Gear) event. You're welcome to get any audio gear you have along. If you're carrying a desktop setup, you can setup your systems on our community table. Kindly carry your extension cords. This event is all about sharing.
Is Headphone Connect only open to audiophiles?
If you love music and you're curious about what great gear sounds like, you belong here. No gatekeeping. No velvet rope. Everyone starts somewhere.
What headphones can I listen to?
We have gear from some of the finest brands in the world like Astell&Kern, Audeze, Chord Electronics, FiiO, HiFiMAN, and many more. The team carries 400 KGs of headphones, IEMs, DACs and DAPs to the event. The IEM bar (incidentally the most happening area at the event) has over 50 IEMs from brands like 64 Audio, Vision Ears, Noble Audio, 7HZ, Final Audio, KZ, Moondrop, 1Custom & more. We have also dedicated tables for Headphones from Audeze, STAX, Meze Audio, Focal, HEDD Audio, and more. World class headphones are driven by the finest amps and DACs from brands like Chord Electronics, Burson Audio, Gustard, TOPPING, iFi Audio. The IEMs are driven by High Resolution Digital Audio Players from brands like Astell&Kern, Cayin, FiiO, and iBasso. Honestly, you'll have to keep the entire day free so that you can make the most of the event
There's a particular headphone I want to listen to, can I request it in advance?
If there's something specific you want to listen to, speak to one of our Gurus and we'll try our best to get those for you.
Will I even hear the difference?
Play your favourite song. If you don't notice anything, we'll be the first to tell you to save your money. But you'll notice.
I don't know anything about audiophilia. Can I still come?
There will be plenty of people to guide you on how to listen to music on various headphone systems.
Is there a dress code for the event?
Yes, because why not! You can pick up an Audiophile T-shirt here. But don't sweat it, it's not a compulsion.
Can I change the location after registration / Will I get a refund if I cancel?
No, unfortunately, a change of location won't be possible. You could cancel your existing registration and re-register for the location you want to attend. Any cancellations would be non-refundable.
My friend just arrived in town. Can I get him/her along? Do I need to get them to register?
Yes! The more the merrier. Just remember to get them to register for the event in advance.
Will you guys have on-the-spot registrations?
No, since we've capped the event to 100 - 200 attendees, we need to ensure that we provide a firm number to our venue partners. We won't be able to take spot registrations at the venue hence.
Can I give my Headphone Connect Access Pass to my friend if I'm unable to attend?
Sure. Just tell your friend to mention that he/she will be taking your place at the Headphone Connect.
If I like something, can I buy it on the spot?
No, you can't. JK, we're an online store and you can simply pull out your phone at the event and place orders directly on our website.
Can I get my kid along? Do I need to register for him/her?
Headphone Connect is open to people of all ages. If you want to give your little one a taste of audiophilia, definitely bring him/her along! PS: Kids don't need to be registered under 12 years.

Was pleasantly surprised to see Raghav while I was waiting up to the first floor at Sheraton pune. I was about 2 hrs late and he really made me feel at home and personally showed me around which was really nice. I've always seen him on YouTube before this and was really nice to meet him in person.Good to listen to so many iems and headphones and discover new favourites. Also spoke to Ian, Ryan and Hector who had helped me make purchase decisions in the past. Id also had a light meal in the morning and had started to feel a little hungry by the time I had reached Sheraton however by then snacks were available and I fueled up which helped me spend the next 6 hrs to listen to music non stop. If I could only suggest one thing it would be to have atleast one non veg option in the menu that is satiating , thereby adding to the overall experience. I would definitely visit next time, now that i know what to expect, with a bucket list of audio devices to test drive!

I wish I could blindly recommend Headphone Connect Delhi to all of my friends, after all it is India's premier personal audio event which offers a unique showcase of audiophile grade earphones and headphones and everything in between. But I cannot in good faith. While the event boasts an impressive lineup of high-end audio brands and the latest in personal audio technology, there are several facets where it falls short in catering to the needs of beginner enthusiasts and budget-conscious audiophiles.
One of the primary drawbacks of Headphone Connect Delhi is the timing of the event, which often misses out on the latest product launches scheduled for the following month. This means that attendees may not have the opportunity to experience the newest offerings from their favorite brands. There are so many launches scheduled for July that I am almost sad that the event happened in June.
Additionally, the event's focus on showcasing the world's finest headphone brands leaves little room for budget-friendly options, making it less accessible for those just starting their journey into the world of high-end audio.
The event's layout also presents some challenges, particularly for those interested in in-ear monitors (IEMs). Despite the high demand and crowds at the IEM table, the space allocated to this segment remains relatively small, leading to congestion and limited opportunities for hands-on experience. It might be something that can be overlooked the first time or the second, but this was the third time that the event was happening in Delhi and still nothing had changed from the first time.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not all bad. For instance, seasoned audiophiles or audiophiles with budgets north of Rs 100,000 INR, would find a remarkable opportunity at Headphone Connect Delhi to explore a wide range of audio gear from various brands. The event's ability to bring together the finest high-end audio brands under one roof is undoubtedly a significant draw for those seeking to discover new products and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
One area where Headphone Connect Delhi could improve is in the sharing photographs taken at the event. The photographs taken by volunteer or paid photographers often remain unseen by attendees, missing out on a chance to share the excitement at the day of the event and free publicity for the company. By providing attendees with access to these images or sharing them on social media platforms, the organizers could enhance the overall experience and create a lasting memory for those who attended. I have written atleast 2 e-mails to Ms. Mahima requesting my pics from the event which are unanswered till date.
The food and tea snacks at Headphone Connect Delhi are satisfactory, considering the event is hosted at the prestigious Taj Mahal Hotel, a renowned 5-star establishment. For the admission price of 1499 INR, the catering is reasonable and meets expectations. However, it is not the primary focus for attendees, as audiophiles are typically engrossed in hands-on demonstrations and discovering the latest audio gear from various brands showcased at the event

Hey guys, yesterday was the day the Headphone Zone connect was held in Mumbai. It being a Saturday, i managed to come 2 and a half hours late. Had a great time. Met friends i had mostly only chatted with on the phone till now.
The arrangement was superbly done by hpz. Tables were kept and chairs in front of them with suitable space in between the chairs so that the attendees wouldnt land on each others laps in ecstasy on hearing the stuff.
I was determined to take notes on everything i heard this time and took a book and a reynolds pen with me for the same.
I managed to lose the book within 5 mins of taking it out of the bag ,which was a very impressive feat, in my opinion.
Certain impressions (from memory) of stuff i heard in this lagbhag chronological order
Audeze -
Lcd2c - smooth
Lcdx - intense. I own it so i love it
Mm500- meh, very neutral like Switzerland
Lcd5 - Mast, though i wouldnt pay so much.
Focal
Utopia - Ekdum mast sound. Not wide sounding but what was inside the parking area sounded tiptop
Stax- Nahi suna sadly, paise bach gaye
Senn 650 - This annoyingly sounded good on Hemant Dhillonbhai's phideca dac and Sapphire amp. Sincerely hope i dont end up buying it again.
Senn 800s - Loved how wide it sounded and was filled with envy till i remembered that i own it .
Final Audio 8000 pro - Sounded very smooth with great tonality but i somehow didnt find it that punchy sounding
Fiio ft5 - THIS was the surprise package for me. Fiio's planar Hp. Has that slightly dark and luscious sound which i love ,with smooth treble. Not very wide, but i really dug the sound. Wont overload u with details but gorgeous sounding.
By now, the brain was saturated hearing the above stuff so took a short break with Prabeer Patankar sir, sainath sir, Bharat Devjanibhai and Rohit Upadhyaybhai outside where we had some palate cleansers.
Back to the connect, time was running short and i was short of height anyway and i had to hurry so i was short of breath when i resumed my auditions.
Further impressions
Hifiman 1000 se and Arya - Again wide sounding like most Hifimans ,with great clarity but i am not fond of the Hifiman signature. I find it wears off soon and not punchy enough for my liking.
Hedd 2 - Heard this one for a short while, sounded impressive to me. Fit wasnt an issue.
Was impressed by the Earmen tradutto dac ,not so much by the Champ amp.
I had only 30 mins left by the time i reached the iem section.
U12t - This sounded very open and airy, good tonality
Z1r - Punchy sound with some hard hitting bass, this is what i heard when it wasnt falling off my ears. Fit didnt fit.
Orivetti od200- Sadly, heard this right after the above 2,so found it underwhelming.
I really wanted more time but we ran out of it and couldnt find more of it, so we had to leave.
The surprise highlight for me was the fiio Ft5 .
All in all , had a great time at the hpz connect. I could easily have spent a few more hours there. A big big shoutout to Raghav Somani and all the hpz staff, who were so patient with all the attendees and were so good in explaining the sound and the differences in sound the attendees would be hearing with the different gears on display.
This was my first connect and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Hpz has given me a lot of joy ever since it entered my life around 4 yrs back. All the recent friends i have made have all been from the audio field. There is a certain child like innocence in most audio music enthusiasts which i find very endearing. The connect is a great place to meet up amd exchange experiences about the audio kingdom and condolences on the wallet getting thinner day by day.
I would definitely attend the next connect in mumbai whenever it happens.

Congratulations for hosting this year event.Overall it was very good.few suggestions
1) The table could have been spread out as I could hear other people's music especially in openback headphone.Understand space constraints
2) Could have given special discount or voucher for spot buyings
3) This is bit selfish more OEMs ..I was missing some like Beyerdynamic etc
Again these are all Minor suggestions, Overall its Very good. Looking forward for more

This event gave me a chance to personaly feel and compare the earphones and headphones to find the ones that fulfill my taste and budget. This event also let me experiance those gears and setup which I may never be able to afford. At that event the air around you was filled with music and people who love music.
