I had the privilege of attending Raghav Somani's Audiophile 101 session, and it was an unparalleled experience. One can attend Audiophile 101 with Raghav Somani only once. As 2nd time onwards you are not the same man. Raghav's dedication to explaining complex topics like compression, dynamic range, speed, and the inner workings of headphones was truly commendable. His patience during the extended Q&A session was equally impressive.

The curated song selection for the session was exceptional, creating a meditative and transformative learning experience. What set this session apart was the opportunity to enjoy music through some of the world's finest state-of-the-art headphone gadgets, including headphones, tube amplifiers, and DACs. It was an audio enthusiast's dream come true.

Not only was Raghav incredibly knowledgeable, but his entire team was also supportive and eager to assist. And a special shout-out to Moonshine Meadery for adding a delightful touch with their beer.

Overall, this experience ranks as one of my best afternoons in 2023. Raghav Somani's Audiophile 101 has left a lasting impact on me as a listener, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to delve deeper into the world of high-quality audio.

The session was awesome in the sense that it combined effective storytelling with great music. Each of the curated pieces was adroitly captured through the context building and a continuous narrative kept the interest going. I relived the journey of Amit Trivedi through the eyes of Raghav and the ears of headphonezone.

2 major reasons why I love these experiences.
1. Listening to great music followed by their amazing introduction and insider stories by Raghav. Like listening to a modern version of Anu Kapoor describe stories.

2. I get to listen to headphones I would like to buy as well as aspirational ones. This is like getting a test ride for a Bugatti Chiron.

A unique concept of it's own kind, this experience truly made us rediscover Rahman and his songs like never before..
Raghav, being an amazing host, never let a dull moment seep in with his unique behind the scenes bytes. Each song assumed a different purpose as we viewed it through Rahman's musical journey..
High profile audio gear brought in rich details from the songs heard a hundred times before...

I think Headphone Zone has been the introduction to the audiophile world for a lot of us. And in this session, Raghav truly helps you understand what good sound means. It's quite technical but aimed at absolute novices like me and by the end of it I had the tools to listen to music and understand how good it sounded as separate from how good the music was. And of course you have the help of the finest audio equipment money can buy. This is a pure eargasm and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is even a little serious about audio. Take the red pill.

Lovely experience at Headphone Zone, got to learn a lot from Raghav.

Session was intuitive and gave a great insight into what to look out for when listening to a headphone. All this was done while keeping things simple and at a pace at which everyone could keep up. The session was very much interactive and am sure everyone came out a bit enlightened.

Enlightening Experience

That's the best money I've ever spent on a music event. The way Ian presented the entire experience was fabulous. I mean, I'm not new to John Mayer's music, but the entire timeline of John's journey along with the way it influenced his mindset during the albums he recorded was something i wasn't aware of.
And ofcourse i had the privilege of listening to my favourite artist on premium audiophile gear! I've listened to lot of these songs hundreds of times and my ears still managed to pickup new instruments and basslines on this gear(HiFiMan Arya).
The mead from moonshine was the much appreciated extra cherry on a cake overflowing with cherries.
Ofcourse, the contribution to the Silent Olympiad felt very nice.
I'd definitely make this 3 hour journey again whenever there's an artist i like being covered in an experience. Great initiative team!!!

Rediscover Daft Punk

Karan was knowledgeable and took a great session for us.

Have been looking forward to this guided listening session of the music of AR Rahman, and without a doubt, it was worth the wait, especially with Raghav taking the session. Songs that I have been hearing countless number of times, all of a sudden, sounded different - a whisper here, a guitar strings soulful tune - as Headphone Zone brought to life the timeless melodies. Raghav's selection peppered with anecdotes added to the mood. An experience to remember for many years to come!!! I heard the melodies on an Audeze and a Stellia.

3 hours spent well

I was always an Amit Trivedi fan. But listening to his songs on such high quality equipments during the listening session has made me, if I can say, a much bigger fan of Amit (probably an AC). I came out of that session with a new found understanding of the nuances of his music, how layered his compositions are and overall a newfound respect to the underrated genius that the guy is. A session which must be attended by anyone who has enjoyed any of his music in the last 10 years, I am sure it would be an enthralling experience. Thank you Headphone zone for this session.

I've been a fan of Amit Trivedi's for a while, but I've never experienced his music like I did at the Listening Session - not only was the trivia fascinating but I heard layers and even lyrics within the songs that I hadn't noticed.
So grateful to HeadphoneZone for giving me this experience, along with the warm fuzzies of knowing that my money is going towards supporting a great cause.

The whole experience of listening to A.R Rahman songs coupled with the trivia and minute details to listen to made this experience rediscover a new meaning to listening to music for me. The high sound quality headphones made the experience all the more joyful. The sharpness of the sound through the open back headphones made me rediscover music with a completely different perspective. Raghav's input before every song was instrumental in making me believe that i had never heard the songs with such concentration and feel every beat and every word and understand the lyrics. Even though certain songs were in a language I didn't know of, it still made me picture how the song would have been recorded. Waiting eagerly to attend another music session at Headphone zone.

It was an awesome session, not only the music but also the trivia shared during the session. A must attend for any Rehman fan out there.
