What does "ships within 24/48 hours" mean?

In a nutshell, ships within 24/48 hours basically means that your product will be shipped out or dispatched from our warehouse within 24/48 hours after placing the order. It also indicates that the products are readily available at our warehouse and once we receive your order, we dispatch it out at the earliest either on the same day or the next working day depending on when you’ve placed your order.


What it does not mean:

A lot of our customers assume that it means their order will get delivered to them within 24/48 hours, but that’s not what it means. For an order to reach you, it can take anywhere up to 3-4 business days, depending on which part of India you are placing an order from.

For an accurate timeline, you can enter your pin code on the product page and check for an estimated date of arrival.

In case you receive the HiBy - R1 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you

I’m am very happy for this DAP. The display is very clear and crisp. It is a few centimetres larger than a Zippo, it is very comfortable to hold and to carry around. The audio is crisp and clear. Tried FLAC, m4a and mp3, all worked and sounds very good than mobile phone. Next I will try to play lossless from Apple Music and check the audio quality, yes we need a proper HiRes headphones. Hiby r1 - review

I love the form factor so tiny and cute I love it!
The os is no frills does the job and I like it.
Sound - I'm not expert but it's nice - paired it with kz castor pro
Connectivity - bluetooth doent work at ldac,but aptx does the job,3.5,type c and sd card slot all work as intended
All in all this is perfect gateway dap for a beginner audiophile like me.
It reminded me of a simpler time when devices used to be just that devices not distraction machines.

At first glance, the HiBy R1 may not look too appealing on the spec sheet. It packs just a single Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC, which seems underwhelming, especially when compared to competitors like the Shanling M0 Pro, which features dual ESS Sabre DACs—a brand known for its refined sound quality.

Initially, I was hesitant to pick the R1 because of this, but in real-world use, the HiBy R1 punches far above its weight, especially when you consider its 3-inch touchscreen display. Song navigation is a breeze, and for someone like me who has a large music library, this is a huge win. In contrast, navigating on the Shanling M0 Pro's smaller display feels cramped and can be a bit of a hassle.

Sound Quality

The HiBy R1 leans toward a warm-neutral sound signature, with a pleasant emphasis on low mids and sub-bass rumble. The highs are smooth, avoiding fatigue, but if you’re pairing it with sharp or bright IEMs (like some KZ models), the treble sharpness can become noticeable.

That said, it does struggle with low-sensitivity IEMs (below 105dB). You'll find yourself cranking the volume to 70–75+ to get satisfying output. However, high-sensitivity IEMs (above 105dB) perform exceptionally well, often reaching full potential below volume level 55.

Features That Matter

MSEB Tuning: One of the HiBy R1’s best features is its MSEB (MageSound Eight-Ball) tuning system, allowing fine-grained sound customization based on personal taste. It really elevates the experience.

Streaming Support: It supports TIDAL and Qobuz, though note that TIDAL requires a premium subscription.

Control Chip: The X1600E chip manages UI and system response impressively. The device feels snappy and fluid.

Final Verdict

Under ₹10,000, your choices narrow down to the HiBy R1 and Shanling M0 Pro. If you prioritize raw power, 4.4mm balanced output, and DAC specs, the M0 Pro is a great pick. But if you want intuitive UI, a beautiful display, MSEB tuning, and a smoother, more musical experience with high-sensitivity IEMs, the HiBy R1 won’t disappoint.

I would’ve loved to see dual CS43131 DACs, but even with one, the HiBy R1 delivers a refined experience that feels much richer than its price tag suggests.

Better than expected

I was expecting a mediocre music player at this price point, but this player sounds way better and crisp. I needed a seperate device to store and listen to my offline music collection and this DAP is just perfect for me.

It does what it says on page. Didn't faced any problem till now after using for 2 months. One thing to update the firmware when you receive it, otherwise it will show wrong time. Also I didn't checked or must have slipped through, it doesn't have internal storage so have memory card already. Otherwise great small product for music listening. Battery backup easily work for 2 days on moderate use. Moving music is easy over OTG or memory card, i found little complex over Wifi (for it you have to download hiby app on android).
Major Con for me : No dark mode, would be easier on my eyes
