The cable receives mixed feedback from customers. While some appreciate the sound quality and mic clarity, many express concerns about durability and build quality for the price. Customers said "Quality of wire could have been better" and noted it "lasted 7 or 8 months." Positively, shoppers found it "tangle free" and "good for the money."
- MC1 is a perfectly good cable with a perfectly good mic.
- The cables are half-braided, hence tangle free. Sound delivery is unchanged.
- Works well with the Moondrop chu 2. Good for the money.
Brought these for my Truthear HOLA of 2 years.
Its cables held up pretty well but the ear padding and the mic housing had gone through much...with the Volume Down button rendered useless. I wasn't looking for an upgrade to a flashy new IEM just yet so decided to extend my trusty HOLA's service life.
I went with these MOONDROP cables solely off the trust I place in the brand and their look.
Glad to testify that they haven't disappointed. The cables themselves are of course compatible with my HOLA buds (thanks to the HZ team for stating the compatible products on this listing), seem durable and don't feel/look out of place.
After over a week of testing; the sound delivery is unchanged since both the original and these cables are on par. No issues in pin connectivity. The ear padding is just as comfortable and the cables are half-braided, hence tangle free.
Wish these had Volume Control as well but overall I'm satisfied with the purchase. Snatched this one right before it went out of stock!

I came across IEMs recently and ordered my first IEM 7Hz Zero 2, but returned immediately due to not comfortable to wear, then ordered CHU 2. It is very compact and fit into my ears without any issues and don't feel it is sitting in my ears. I can't compare the sound with other IEMs since this is my first IEM. Anyhow I could feel the difference in sound quality compared to normal headphones used. This gives me great pleasure in listening the music with high clarity in voice and instruments.
I have to explore all areas what audiophiles are talking about with this and upgrade to high-end IEM.

I will think twice before ordering anything expensive because they cheap out on delivery partners they sent my order through DTDC instead of bluedart and DTDC being the worst delivery service did not even attempt to deliver to me it was just sitting at my local DTDC office for 2 days I had to go there myself to pick it up in the end and DTDC doesn't even have OTP delivery. Cable quality is kinda mid for the price

Can I buy this MOONDROP MC1 for my KZ castor wired IEM's?
It was the wire but that jointed to the 2 pin that got ripped in mine. The sound quality was quite decent using it along Moondrop Chu 2 although no it wasn't any better than the cable that came with the iem, which btw, lasted even less for me. The Mic was useless despite hearing positive opinions of it. The iem did tangle although not unbearable. All in all, if you're on a strict budget and had to quickly buy 1 because the cable that came with the iem broke, I'd go for it.
If not, save more money and get something better.
P. S: I have the habit of sleeping with my IEMS on but other than that I took care of mine. So, maybe don't wear it to bed and maybe you'll get more service out of it.
MC1 product quality is below average. Its not worth to buy for this listed price. No Volume control option and poor (Cheap) wire quality. Not recommended. Disappointed in quality of material at this price.
The quality is okies, for it's price I was expecting more. I bought it since it has a mic module. There aren't many options available at this price range so its okay.

I bought these primarily to ditch the TWS and use the Aria as my daily driver, so that i can attend those occasional calls while listening to music. However, the cables themselves are rather slippery and doesn't hold on to the IEM's as the stock cables, over your ears. Couldn't find much of an audio quality improvement either. Guess, i have to stick to my TWS for a while.

MC-1 cable certainly made a difference in audio quality [increasing the bass] instead of the original in-box cables for moon drop, but certainly did not last that long as sound from the right side decreased making it sound uneven. I assume it's more likely due to low durability of the cable, which certainly lacks the quality of basic strength.
PS: No sudden force or jerk was applied to the cable. mild to moderate pressure is inevitable and expected in day to day use, which I think the cable should be able to handle for the price.
MC1 is a perfectly good cable with a perfectly good mic. I'd recommend MC2 or FreeDSP over this or CDSP if you're willing to spend more on a cable.

Okay so i am very new to audiophile world so definitely my experience is none to zero in the various product range and quality. Talking of the moondrop mc1 cable there are a few points that i would like to share which can be helpful for someone who is looking for these cable.
1. It is actually short than my original aria cable
2. Original aria cable seems much strong and tough than these cable
3. I felt that the volume feels slight lower on these cable as compared to my original ones
My final point is that if you want a cable under 1k inr than these would do the job.
If you a more money than better go with a more better instead of these.
