Super Lightweight
Design

HEXA's impressed me the minute I heard the first track on them. It’s incredible that IEM with 4 drivers per side can be made at less than Rs. 7000. But specs aside, you have to listen to it to know how brilliant they are. There isn’t a better IEM than this even at double the price.

Redefining Hybrid Driver In-Ear Monitor

Truthear is proud to introduce its hybrid driver in-ear monitor - the HEXA. It adopts the polyurethane suspension composite liquid crystal dome diaphragm and dual-cavity internal magnetic circuit dynamic driver of N52 magnet. Its hybrid driver configuration promises to deliver spectacular sonic performance.

Powerful Integration of 1DD + 3BA

The Truthear HEXA hosts one dynamic driver + three balanced armature drivers hybrid structure. A 10mm specialised dynamic driver is responsible for bass. The mature internal magnetic circuit has a flexible polyurethane suspension material and an LCP liquid crystal dome diaphragm. This design architecture allows the HEXA to reproduce the punchiest bass and meet the needs of accurate distribution. A composite full-frequency balanced armature driver is responsible for the mids, which matches the frequency band of the specialised dynamic driver. A custom-balanced armature driver, similar to the WBFK series, is responsible for the highs, which allows HEXA to reproduce a smooth, clean high-frequency performance through fine processing.

Accurate Hybrid Frequency Division

The Truthear has incorporated an accurate hybrid frequency division technology in the HEXA. High-precision DLP-3D printing technology allows the acoustic waveguide structure with filtering functionality. The RC frequency division achieves an "accurate" frequency response making the four drivers perform well under different corresponding acoustic waveguides.

Delivers a Smoother & Warm Presentation

HEXA offers a more robust bass response. The transition between bass and mids is natural. The highs of HEXA are very detailed, delivering a different hearing experience with different eartips. It produces a more natural sound with silicone eartips, whereas some high-frequency resonance peaks are suppressed with foam eartips, resulting in a smoother and warmer presentation.

New-Generation DLP 3D Printed Cavity Design

The Truthear HEXA has an elegant minimalistic design that is eye-catching. The DLP 3D printed cavity from HeyGears is equipped with its medical-grade high-transparency resin, internal colouring, and delicate surface grinding process. It can realise complex acoustic waveguide structures while ensuring printing accuracy and efficiency. It also brings a lightweight cavity to fit well in the contour of your ears and has skin-friendly and reliable cavity materials.

CNC Anodizing Sandblasting Metal Faceplate

The HEXA offers a square but smooth ID design, which can compress the cavity volume as much as possible on the premise of ensuring the wearing reliability to make sure that it can have a lighter weight. The CNC anodizing sandblasting metal faceplate reduces the auricle touch to release the pain caused by long-term wearing. Moreover, the aluminium alloy faceplate is locked by screw self-tapping and fixed by glue.

Copper-Silver-Plated Cable

The Truthear HEXA comes with a copper-silver-plated cable with a thicker diameter of the single strand, presenting an excellent objective index. The four strands of high-quality silver plating achieve excellent sound quality. Typically, this plating improves conductivity, lessens signal loss or interference, and improves audio quality in general.

2-Pin Connectors

Truthear HEXA comes with 0.78mm 2-Pin interfaces and 3.5mm termination, expanding the possibilities by changing the cable and leaving room for upgradability. It can be paired with a Balanced cable or a Bluetooth adapter if you ever wish to go wireless.

Eartips

The HEXA comes with an assortment of eartips, one set of the narrow bore (S, M, L), another wide bore (S, M, L), and a pair of foam eartips. Choose the one that provides you with maximum isolation.

With outstanding isolation, solid comfort, and terrific technical performance, the HEXA may even be an affordable option for musicians searching for a stage monitor. Top-notch imaging and instrument separation.
"Truthear HEXA is an impressive IEM that boasts a sleek and comfortable design with top-notch passive noise isolation. The sound signature is a nice blend of warmth and neutrality, making it perfect for long listening sessions."
In conclusion, the Truthear HEXA is an impressive IEM that boasts a sleek and comfortable design with top-notch passive noise isolation.
Truthear Hexa will definitely be one of them, in fact one of the top 3 and probably the top suggestion for people looking for neutral-warm signatures. It’s very well tuned for its price.
The Truthear Hexa is my new default recommendation at the sub-$100 price point. It is a nearly perfect purchase at its price, with my sole complaint being the relatively slow bass articulation.
This is a well tuned, excellent styled, and proper sound engineered package rather than slapping a bunch of BA’s firing into an open cavity and hoping they mix well concoction.

The All Rounder - Smooth and Precise || Truthear Hexa

It's been almost 15 days since I received my TE Hexa and I have a lot of appreciation for this product.

The Packaging:
Well, it's packaged like a premium product and the unboxing experience was one of my best till now.

The Sound:
All my listening was done using Small - WideBore tips.

-Bass: On the contrary to many reviews, it has bass. And it doesn't require any more bass. It is the correct amount of bass that doesn't interfere with the rest of the sound and still sounds tight. It has a focus on Sub-bass rather than mid-bass.

-Mids: This is the best part of these IEMs, the vocal clarity is very well done. It's up with the best IEMs irrespective of the price. I have heard Blessings 2 and I can say that these are literally baby blessings 2 in Mids. Listen to a vocal-based song and you will love them.

-Treble: People say that it is a little bright and I will agree slightly. I have owned several KZ IEMs and if you compare it with them, Hexa is really TAME. If you have listened to KZ's then these are less bright. They are Airy and Detailed. I would say overall a smooth and balanced treble.

Imaging and Soundstage: Soundstage for all the IEMs is not that much (compared to open-back headphones and speakers). So these are similar with a normal soundstage for an IEM. Imaging is where they really shine. Play any Amber Rubarth song and you can precisely locate instruments and they are well defined. No sort of mud. Crystal Clear.

Comparisons:

Kz x HBB PR2:
Well, PR2 is a planar magnetic IEM that requires 2v to run them to their full potential but PR2 is more "OUT There" which means that every note is well-defined and deliberate. Hexa is more smooth with better mids and Treble.
Hexa Is a Better Balanced Product while PR2 is a more Fun Product. They both are complementary IEMs and will both play songs well that the other one doesn't.

PR2 Hits you like a Train with Details and Bass while Hexa is a Silent Kill Hitman with Silenced SilverBallers (if you know, you know).

Driveability:
Hexa can be driven by anything. They are very sensitive. A Basic Amp/Dac will be enough. they only need 1mW of power to take them to 103db (do not listen at these volumes, ear damage!!). So just get a clean source and you will be done.

Thanks for reading so far.
Also, see the attached images for size comparison.

Regards,
P.K

Warm and smooth

Build: The shell has a metal face plate with 3D printed back and nozzle. Build feels solid and you can see the shadow of DD and BAs through the translucent shell if you hold it against light which looks quite cool. Shell are fairly compact and eartips don't slip off the nozzle despite having no lip there. The wire is not bad, behaves nicely, doesn't tangle easily, and is quite soft but it reminds me of the sort of cable I've seen on some TRN sets. I absolutely hated those cables as the casing always ended up cracking open after some time. Don't know about this one will see as time goes on but would have preferred Truthear HOLA cable here as well.

Sound: Very clean, very neutral somewhat warm with deep sub-bass extension. The bass on this thing can vary wildly depending on the track. Some tracks sound like the bass couldn't have been better, and some (mostly mid-bass-focused ones) sound thin and lacking energy. Really low-digging basslines are a joy to listen to on this, they sound very clean and articulate.
The mids are clean and show little colouration. The upper mids are not as boosted as most other sets you will find in this price category and slot nicely along the rest of the mids and never overpower the sound. This also means that vocals don't stand out in terms of sheer volume but still manage to have a good level of separation thanks to the decent enough imaging and separation capabilities of Hexa.
There is an ample amount of treble here with no noticeable lack thereof in any frequencies though I wouldn't mind some more but that would probably lead to sibilance so this is good enough I'd say. Add to this the smoothness treble extension of Hexa and you have got a set that is very detailed and clean and still manages to never be fatiguing or sibilant(very very mild, almost never shows up).

Overall a lovely set especially if you are sensitive to upper mids but still love to listening to vocals. The vocal clarity in itself is an upsell here over Aria.

Hey Gurmehar, thank you for your detailed and genuine feedback! We're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well.

A departure from the oversaturated Harman scene

The Truthear Hexa has redefined the under 10k market for IEMs. And I say this because this price bracket is over-saturated with IEMs offering more or less a similar tuning, i.e., following the Harman curve. The Hexa is an attempt at following the Moondrop VDSF graph with a slight sub-bass boost, this aims to give you a true warm-neutral-ish tuning.

Build
3D printed injection mold, brushed aluminum plate, segmented cavities for driver separation, Knowles style tuning filters, and a great range of stock eartips. The hexa gets everything right. And although its shape might be intimidating, it is more comfortable than most IEMs in this range.

Sound
There really isn't much to say, it's just a great neutral tuned iem. However, you need a good seal to unleash the full potential of the hexas. The bass region is well-defined and textured and sounds quite powerful regardless of what the FR says. The mids are the real star of the show here, with enough detail to take on IEMs 3 times the price. The highs seem a bit overly smoothened at times and have a slight BA timbre, they still shine through without sounding overly splashy.

Technicalities
This area is a clear win for the hexa. I'll call it the 'tech king under 10k'. top-notch imaging and separation, the soundstage is average but can be improved with the wide stock tips or after-market tips (cp145, kbear07, spring tips).

Musicality and preferred genres
Well, this is kinda objective but the Hexas are more of an analytical set. They can be amped and eq'd to sound more vibrant and colored; would introduce some harmonic distortion though. I think the hexas really shine through genres like classical, soul, RnB, jazz, classic rock, prog metal, heavy metal, and some vocal-centric pop tracks. Where the hexas can falter are with tracks that require a slam sound (like the typical Harman sound); so metalcore, nu-metal, hip-hop, and some bassy pop tracks won't sound as good.

Conclusion
Overall, I think these are a steal for under 10k. They do most things really really well and a few things not so much. You won't get a better-sounding neutral IEM under 10k.

Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback, we're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!

Great IEM... Go for it :)

If you are looking for a very good IEM tuning in a budget then this is it.
Its a cheaper alternative to 7Hz Timeless and Moondrop Blessings 2.
I do have the 7Hz Timeless which is a fantastic IEM but I use HEXA for most of my listening as it is more energetic and sparkly and dont forget to use the Fiio K3 Dac of Hidiz dac which transforms this IEM although you dont need a AMP just a good DAC.
Go for it blindly ... and if its your first IEM then your ears are in for a treat.

Moondrop Aria's biggest RIVAL!!

Hexa is an amazing iem for mixing and has that punch.
It's not the best for gaming or if u are a bass head.
For gaming I would recommend the Aria.

Hey there, thank you so much for the review!
