3.5mm
The Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 comes in 2 variants. The Standard 3.5mm variant features an In-Line mic and 3 button remote and is designed to work with all smartphones and laptops with a 3.5mm output. They sound their best when paired with a Hi-Res DAC like the Headphone Zone X ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC. Perfect for audiophile purists who want to maximise their sound performance.
Type-C
The Type C variant features a USB cable with a hi-res DAC inbuilt into the cable itself for it to work effortlessly with Smartphones and Laptops with a USB-C output. The DAC features a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that is capable of decoding audio upto 96khz / 24 bit, making it perfect to listen to Hi-Resolution Lossless music without the need of an external DAC. The DSP chip also allows users to customize the sound signature, by toggling through 5 different sound profiles.
Customize Your Sound Signature With 5 Different Tunings.
We know that there simply isn’t one perfect sound signature that fits all. Every music enthusiast may have their own individual preferences for different kinds of sounds and tunings. We wanted beginners in the hobby to be able to explore their preferences as much as possible. FiiO’s engineers made this possible by designing 5 sound presets and tunings that can be toggled through by pressing ‘+’ and ‘-’ on the remote together. The five preset sound tunings are:
1. Default - A balanced sound signature truest to the IEM.
2. Powerful Bass - With added Bass extension
3. Treble - Exquisite Treble extension for some added Sparkle
4. Vocal - Lush Vocals emphasized
5. Harman Reference - A classic Harman Reference curve
Note: Sound tunings are available only in the Type-C variant.
Oxygen-Free Copper Cable With Inline Mic & Remote
It comes bundled with high-quality oxygen-free copper (OFC) cable for clear audio transmission and features built-in controls. With +/- buttons for adjusting volume and presets and the middle button for answer/hangup and play/pause functionality.
Detachable ables with 0.78mm 2-Pin Connectors
The cable features a detachable design with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, allowing room for further cable upgrades. These connectors also perfectly curve around your ear for a perfect over-the-ear fit.
Ergonomic Shell with Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Faceplate
The Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 features a triangular ergonomic shell design, which is lightweight at 7g per ear unit. It features a faceplate with a black mirror finish and a black shell for a demure yet sophisticated appearance.

What is the warranty period on the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1?
How many drivers does the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1 have? What is the included cable?
Entry-level earphones should be well made in order to let more users experience the wonders of high-fidelity sound. To that end, after evaluating many options the development team equipped the JD1 with a 10mm liquid crystal polymer (LCP) dynamic driver. Being both lightweight and highly rigid, this driver is fully capable of providing rich and powerful bass, able to bring out the impact of instruments like drums. And thanks to the development team’s careful tuning, the driver is also highly detailed and low in distortion like a proper set of HiFi earphones, for a clear and natural sound.
FiiO’s asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuit design has been used in several other products, including the FT3, “Little Conch” series of IEMs, and other products. Now, this technology has made its way into the JD1. Compared to the traditional design of a single internal magnet or a single external magnet, the asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits design effectively increases magnetic field density around the voice coil – leading to a more powerful and robust sound as well as improved transient response.
Included cable
Included cable comes with HD microphone with in-line controls – middle button used for answer/hangup and play/pause; top and bottom buttons used to adjust volume.
Note:
Volume adjustment is supported in Android devices but not iOS devices.
On some Android devices(some Xiaomi/Hwawei/OPPO/Vivo mobile phones), double clicking the middle button could switch to next track, triple clicking the middle button could switch to previous track.
What is the sound tuning style of the Headphone Zone X FiiO JD1? What type of music is it suitable for?
JD1 has a strong low-frequency ambience and sense of dive, which is more suitable for movies, games, pop music and a variety of soundtrack.
Due to the characteristics of the LCP diaphragm, JD1 has more ultra-high frequency, which can present more details in movies, games and music.

The JD1 features a 0.78 2pin detachable cable that allows ample opportunities for future upgrades.
And the cable is not compatible with 0.78 headphone with flat or recessed connector. But the unit is compatible with FiiO's cable series and Bluetooth ear hooks with detachable 0.78 connectors.

I bought the Type-C version of FiiO - JD1. To be honest i am not much fond of V-shaped tuning , but this one sounded a rightly balanced with not too sharp high and too bassy lows. The mid bass sounds a little lacking but anyways a overall enjoyable experience. The type-c cable comes with inbuilt DAC with 5 modes. And here is my rating
1.Default - 4.5/5 ( I cant give a perfect score but considering the price its really good)
2.Bass - 3.5 /5 (Maybe bass heads gives a good rating but its not for me)
3.Treble - 4/5 (i have sharp ears but still it sounded good)
4. Vocal - 3/5 ( no comments )
5.Harman tuned - 2/5 - (I dont know why i hate this one sounds bland and lacks the richness)
My surprise is my phone music player actually recognised this DAC , so i hope its doing the best of the connection using type-c. So overall its a really best purchase to recommend for Beginner audiophiles.
