Unboxed units are as good as new products with the product's packaging being unavailable. These products give you the same satisfaction of new products - but at down-to-earth prices. Usually, the product's packaging may have gotten damaged in transit. Customers use a product once or twice and then return it with opened up packaging.
What does B-Stock mean?
Each high-end headphone or IEM undergoes a thorough inspection by the brand before being packaged to maintain high-quality standards. As such, products with aesthetic imperfections do not make the cut. These are then sold at huge discounts. The flaws are limited to only visual defects. The sonic qualities are uncompromised and work similarly to a new product. You get the same uncompromised service, and features along with massive savings.

Every Good IEM Deserves A Balanced Setup

What difference can a Balanced Cable and a Balanced DAC & Amp make to the sound of your IEMs? Well, it's hard to make a general statement. But here are something's you should know.

Using a Balanced DAC & Amp means using 2 amplifiers doing the job of one. So each channel, Left and Right gets its own amplifier. So the first thing you should notice, is your IEMs get double the amount of power. What's more, the use of Balanced cables also lowers the noise floor on any headphone, and therefore improves the dynamic range, helping you hear softer details on any track. They also notably eliminate cross-talk between the left and right channels, something that can make subtle improvements to the soundstage.

Different Headphones and IEMs respond slightly differently to upgrading the chain to a balanced DAC & Amp and balanced cables. But as a general rule of thumb, you should hear a more controlled sound, sharper responses, tighter bass, and a wider soundstage.

Absolute value for money

I was looking for a balanced cable to help pair my zero Reds with the 4.4mm output from my new dawn pro 2, and came across this while on sale. In combination with the new DAC/AMP, this immediately made a terrific world of difference. Plus has the upside of being way less tangle prone than the stock cables that come with the Reds.

However, the left pin came loose twice while in free usage - which is two times more than I would've expected. Never had this issue before, so just chalking it up to coincidence for now.

Hi Anurag. It sounds like the Headphone Zone Highway Star Balanced Cable is finding a special place in your listening routine. I am thrilled you are part of our community!

Mixed feelings...and not liking it much

Imp part:- 4.4mm port isn't much better than 3.5mm as many audiophiles and reviews have proven this point. And after investing and hearing both, i agree. Gain on 4.4mm is bit on higher side and makes people think its better. On blind A/B tests, your won't be able to tell a difference between 3.5 and 4.4mm. You can see many reddit and online forums talking about this on posts. Balanced(4.4mm) is only required when noise is a factor in your listening as cable carries two signals(inverted also) which get combined on end to eliminate noise. Nothing else just more amps get pushed for better signal strength for longer cable runs and thus high gain. So for casual listening especially on budget iems its non useful. I got fiio ka13 dac last year which is pricey for normal folks and it consumes significant battery life but i recently got audiocular spark dac which is much better looking, consumes less battery, sounds great and is easy to carry compared to ka13. So my now personal favourite listening combo is KZ castor pro(bass edition)+ QKZ T1 iem cable+audiocular spark dongle dac making total around ₹₹3200 along with poweramp player(my personal favourite for years, none like it with proxima skin buy) and custom eq. I use this almost always.

Highway star cable:- weird name, totally made confusion before buying, looks and feels good, but price is bit on higher side to be fair. Should be around ₹1200 as there are much better options nowadays.

Good part of this cable:- connectors and splitters here are really good. Braiding is also well done and shines silvery in light.

Bad part of it:- don't like 8 core config on this one making it look thin and flimsy as i like 16 core cables. Tripowin amber retails for ₹2390 which is modular(2.5mm,3.5mm,4.4mm) and 16 core which makes this cable less appealing. There should be a 16 core config of this cable imo and priced fairly.

Competitive cables:- audiocular c04 balanced cable retails around ₹799 which makes this cable bit pricey. C04 is 16 core and bit on heavy side so some people may feel uncomfortable. Braiding on c04 is weird and i personally don't like it. Amber is really good with 16 core braids.

Conclusion:- i got this cable just to add it in my collection. If you have such hobby then feel free to buy it else there are much better options. Iem and headphones cable collection on conceptkart website is enormous and most of them are out of stock but here on headphonezone, its tiny. Recently got qkz t1 iem cable(₹500) from conceptkart to match color with my kz castor pro and the combo is good for almost everyone as its budget friendly and sounds really good along with spark dac.

Note for headphonezone team:- pls upgrade your cable collections as there are way many good cables like ones from openheart, nicehck, qkz for budget, and many more good brands and they all aren't available on your site. Cable collection on conceptkart is enormous and it makes your cables collection look tiny. And available ones are less appealing. So pls definitely upgrade your cable collection as people always upgrade their iem and headphone cables for looks and audio. Also bring 3.5mm version of this cable with options to select cable core count.

Best Cable for my Hexa & Castor pro

The sound quality with this 4.4 mm with my Hexa and castor pro literally enhances every thing like sound stage, details, bass,....., but the cable quality looks cheap than the stock ones, rest of all it is a best Balanced cable.

We are genuinely so happy that these lived up to everything you hoped for.

Balanced

The sound separation is awesome. I hear it like the sound is coming from speakers placed in a large room and wide apart. And details have got better. I can clearly understand the sound that is on the right and left and i realized how it was all mixed up all these days.

We hope these bring you many nights of falling in love with your music again.

Built for the Road, Tuned for the Stage: HZ Highway Star Balanced Cable (2-Pin)

There is a specific moment when an aftermarket cable justifies itself. Not in the unboxing, not in the first few minutes of listening, but somewhere in the middle of a familiar track when something you've heard a hundred times sounds slightly more there than it did before. More present, more separated, more like the recording and less like a reproduction of it. The Headphone Zone Highway Star Balanced Cable delivered that moment with the Oriveti OD200, and it did so without asking me to work for it.

The name deserves acknowledgement — Highway Star carries a certain confidence, a suggestion of something built to move fast and hold its shape under pressure. On the OD200, that confidence is justified.

The cable is terminated in 2-Pin on the IEM end — matching the OD200's connector standard precisely, no adapters, no compromises at the connection point — and balanced on the DAC end. I run it through the ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC Pro's 4.4mm balanced output, which means the entire signal chain from source to driver is balanced end to end. The OD200's dual balanced armature drivers are among the most impedance-sensitive in this collection and the cleanliness of a fully balanced chain is not a theoretical advantage here — it is audible.

The build quality is immediately apparent before a single note plays. The cable has a solidity and a weight distribution that feels considered rather than accidental. It doesn't tangle aggressively, doesn't develop memory kinks after being coiled in a case, and the connectors — both the 2-Pin housing on the IEM end and the balanced termination on the DAC end — are machined with a tightness that inspires confidence. The 2-Pin connector seats into the OD200's socket with a satisfying, precise fit. No wobble, no looseness, no anxiety about connection integrity during movement.

Sonically, the most immediate and consistent contribution the Highway Star makes to the OD200 pairing is in the midrange. The OD200's dual BA drivers are already exceptional at rendering vocal texture and instrument body — that is their fundamental strength. Through the Highway Star in balanced configuration, that midrange clarity gains an additional layer of organisation. Instruments that share frequency space — a piano left hand and a cello, a rhythm guitar and a male vocal — sit more distinctly separated from each other without losing their tonal relationship. The presentation becomes less like a photograph and more like the original scene.

The treble extension on the OD200 benefits noticeably as well. BA tweeters can occasionally present a slight hardness or grain through lesser cables and single-ended connections — not always, not dramatically, but present enough to accumulate into listening fatigue over longer sessions. Through the Highway Star balanced, that edge softens without losing resolution. The top end remains extended and detailed but gains a smoothness that makes longer critical listening sessions genuinely more sustainable.

Bass response on a dual-BA IEM is always the most difficult area to evaluate honestly because BA bass is fundamentally different from dynamic driver bass — it is tighter, faster, and less physically present by design. The Highway Star doesn't change this character, nor should it. What it does do is tighten the already precise BA bass further, giving the OD200's low-end rendering a control and definition that makes bass lines on acoustic recordings — upright bass, cello, lower piano registers — feel more natural and less mechanically produced.

At its price point the Highway Star represents a cable investment that is proportional to the OD200 rather than excessive. Spending significantly more on a cable than the IEM itself is a diminishing returns exercise that this hobby occasionally encourages unwisely. The Highway Star sits at a price that improves the OD200's presentation meaningfully without the investment becoming the conversation.

If you own the OD200 and are running it single-ended on a stock cable, this is the first upgrade I would recommend before considering any other change to the setup. The balanced connection alone justifies it. Everything else the Highway Star brings is a welcome addition on top of that foundation.

Amazing product

Solid upgrade cable- cleaner build, softer and more flexible than many stock cables, good value; sound changes are minimal, mostly a comfort/build upgrade.

I bought this to get comparable sound output on Snowsky - Echo Mini. But I dont see considerable difference between balanced o/p and 3.5mm std. Want to understand was that the right decision to buy this IEM cable for using my IEMs with 3.5 mm cables.
