Beautiful sound ! I have owned almost all brands, Bose, Sens, Beyerdynamic, Sony, MI, MIVI, boat, Boult etc etc. since many years of Earphone listening all in the range of 500 to 8k price, but these are just beautiful, ill never ever go back. All of them had to be thrown due to Wire issues after a year or so, but this is pure bliss especially with detachable replaceable wires that are easily available on amazon for 500 bucks or less.
I stopped trusting 'brands' and now i look at technology only. Nothing can beat Balanced armature and with such a price offering that the KZs give, i am sold 10 times over.
Okay now the specifics -
Nothing can beat it in High, clarity. While spacious ness is very good for IEs.
BasS is not going to be thumping but it is smooth. A good compliment to the Brilliant Highs. Deep Bass is there but its not gonna give the thump effect, which anyway is bad for your ear.
Mids are there, but these are designed to have a V shaped Sound signature and again designed well to compliment the highs.
Icing on the cake - Dual drive set up with cross over circuitry - High and mid highs are just not touched by the Bass vibrations, as they both are on different platforms, amazing frequency separations.
Remember, Earphones are purchased based on what you listen and no earphones do everything best for you. My Pick is Radiohead, Vocal trance, Deep house, Classical voice.
You wanna listen to thumping bass of Bollywood music, then go buy warmer or Bassy earphones that you will get at a much cheaper price JBL, MI, Boat etc that are below the 1000 rs range.
Bass is easy to achieve, Clarity of sound, Space and Highs are tough. That's where your money goes and the diaphragm drivers just don't do that as easily as how Balanced Armature drivers can do.
And last, 1 year warranty sorts me out. So i am chill.
Cons - Change the eartips for better comfort and noise isolation. Instruction manual is written in garbage english, don't even bother. Wire can easily tangle.
So here's the deal, if you're on a tight budget do not think twice before buying this, after innumerable years of listening to music I can say this with confidence that these won't disappoint you in any aspect. I've been always a fan of good audio and punchy bass that rattles my ears and was sure that the only thing that's gonna give me that was headphones. Boy I was wrong, turns out what I was seeking was the quality of the bass not the quantity. The teamwork of both the drivers does a phenomenal job on giving the best bass reproduction I've ever heard. The highs are soo crisp and ear friendly that you'll fall in love with all your songs all over again. So I am a person who doesn't listen to songs with vocals, so I cannot comment on the quality of the vocals but as far as any other thing goes this earphones hit the mark spot on. I was soo impressed by the soundstage and the reproduction of audio I bought 2 of these and would be giving them as gifts.
Please take my words with a grain of salt and I think more experienced people with higher end audiophile equipment would disagree on some aspects but trust me, as a layman who was surrounded by mainstream products this was a breath of fresh air.
Here's my two cents on the sound.
● clear throughout the spectrum.
● well defined and ample bass.
● brilliant soundstage.
● eezee peezee to drive.
● rich sound that'll make you rediscover your music.
The cons would be:
● the lack of foam eartips.
● the time you'll spend listening to all the songs you have after buying these on the first day might be the reason for you to miss lunch, and dinner too if you're like me.
All in all I would really thank Headphone Zone for introducing me to this area and to the immediate deliver the package. I'll never buy audio equipment anywhere else other than this place.
Good regards to anyone who reads this.
So this is a pair of iem from KZ (which you know is a kind of decent company ) .These Pair of iem are the best you can get under the price of 2000 bucks . It got 1BA(balanced armature ) and 1 DA(Dynamic Driver ) .(The best config you can get in for peanuts) . So after trying these for 4-5 months I came to the conclusion that maynnnn these are amazing , the sound quality is great ,the bass is amazing ,lowz and highz everything is kinda balanced . (These will work best with a dac or a laptop ) .(don't forget to burn it ,after burning these the sound quality will become balanced and smoothh ) . The cable is good ,it's the basic copper cable (the copper in the cable will oxidise soom and the cable will become green that's kindaa heelllll like feeling ) ,it got a metal back which looks sturdy (and these are really sturdy ) the finish is good (I have the Brown color one ) the basic look is good . It is well made and it'll be the best if you have just started will your audiophile journey !!
I wouldn't dare sully the proud moniker of "Audiophile" with my inexperienced babble. So I won't try. What I will say is that as a musician, I'm pretty disappointed with myself for not experimenting with audiophilia sooner. I've mostly owned Sonys, JBLs, and the odd Philips for most of my life. But starting off with the KZ ZSN PRO is easily one of the best decisions I've made in my audio accessory purchases.
As a drummer, I love bass driven music. I love a good low end punch. The ZSN Pro delivers not just a brilliant bass experience, but its mids and highs are SWEET. Such a well balanced experience. To budding audiophiles like myself, I dare say that the ZSN Pro is a great place to start. AND. If this is what an ENTRY LEVEL IEM sounds like, I can't imagine what else is out there.
Kudos to Raghav and the team. I wonder what this pair would sound like with the DCO2 Dac from ibasso. Is that still available?
I hope this review helps the less knowledgeable folk out here.
WARNING:. These babies can get LOUD, so keep that volume button handy.
My experience with KZ KSN pro was fantastic, I would recommend this to all wired lovers like me. Sound is amazing loud crisp and clear, mic quality for calls is also above average. However much more better than RHA.
1) They are heavy in weight in ears (still considerably would be ok for me, many would complain hence considered as it's cons)
2) Cables are pure copper (Great) however they are not tangible (Cons)
3) Can't wear for long hours.
4) No carrying pouch, box
1) Build quality in this price range is awesome,.
2) Sound Quality is awesome, better than RHA to compare with or even more expensive head phones
3) Clarity is very good, which is must for my choice.
4) I am not bass lover still it has decent amount of bass than other earbuds in the market.
5) Can be used for highend Gaming.
6) Good mic quality for calls.
7) Can also make wireless in future by just buying Aptx Bluetooth wireless adapter/ module.
I never heard IEM's this is my first one. Good listening experience. Only one draw back is we can't take very long sessions. My earache started stright after 3 hrs.
These got delivered in less than 48 hours which was awesome. These come with one eartip pre-installed and 3 in the box and I gotta say the eartips are the weakest part of this product. The eartips are long and narrow so they dont give you the feeling of a perfect seal and the best possible noise isolation(I tried all of them and ended up using the largest one), so you should budget out a pair of nice eartips to go with them.
Solid built quality, Wire is sturdy but not tangle free, I expect them to last a very long time.
With good pair of eartips comfort could be better but with default ones you can definitely the weight, it doesnt hurt or anything but you can always feel them.
Great Crisp and bright audio, a bit on warmer side. Very detailed treble. There isn't a lot of missing detail, you can pretty much hear every microdetail, to a point. Bass is extended but it lacks some of the punch that something like Senheisser Cx 275s will offer, cannot recommend these to a bass-head. The mids are a bit recessed but that is something that can be solved with an EQ(I recommend the autoeq sound profile from here to be perfect https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results/crinacle/harman_in-ear_2019v2/KZ%20ZSN%20Pro). This is for someone who wants to hear all the details and likes to hear some electronica, rock, jazz etc. For Pop/Casual music or badly mixed and mastered music they can absolutely kill the experience for you.
Great upgrade from my SoundMagic E10Cs. KZ being a relatively unheard name, this was a leap of faith but I'm delighted to say it was completely worth it.
Bang for a buck
