It's not my first time from Headphone Zone. My first was the RHA MA390, one of my best purchases at the time, then a Sony XB75. This time I purchased the Oriveti Blackbird. It's a good IEM with detailed sound. Not for bassheads, but the bass is good enough.

After using the KZ EDX Pro for quite some time, I wanted to experience what a true upgrade felt like. I spent weeks researching before finally choosing the Oriveti Blackbird—and it was absolutely worth it.

The difference was immediately noticeable. The soundstage is significantly wider, making the music feel spacious and immersive. Instead of everything playing together, each instrument has its own space, creating outstanding separation and layering.

Good first IEM

It’s is good IEM but sound staging is not as impressive as people saying it to be. The material touch and feel premium and fit is perfect. The left IEM (Oriveti)is yellow for some reason than the right headphone zone logo IEM. Mostly likely the Oriveti logo iem is manufactured years ago than the Headphone zone IEM.

I’ve spent a good amount of time listening to the Headphone Zone × Oriveti Blackbird across multiple genres, and I can confidently say this is one of the most enjoyable IEMs I’ve heard in this price range.

Sound Signature:
The tuning leans warm with a tasteful bass lift while maintaining excellent clarity. It never feels muddy, and the balance between bass, mids, and treble is very well executed.

Bass:
The standout feature for me is the bass quality. It’s not just about quantity—the texture and control are excellent. Bass guitars have realistic string definition, kick drums hit with authority, and sub-bass extends deep without overwhelming the mix. Tracks like Charlie Puth’s Attention showcase impressive bass articulation, making finger slides and subtle fret textures clearly audible.

Midrange:
Vocals are natural, slightly warm, and full-bodied. Male vocals have satisfying weight, while female vocals remain smooth without becoming shouty. Instruments occupy their own space, making complex arrangements easy to follow.

Treble:
Treble is detailed yet comfortable. There’s enough extension to reveal cymbal shimmer, room ambience, and reverb tails, but it avoids harshness or sibilance. Long listening sessions are effortless.

Technical Performance:
The Blackbird performs exceptionally well in instrument separation and layering. Background elements that were previously buried become much easier to identify. Imaging is precise, allowing instruments to be placed accurately across the stereo field. Micro-details such as finger movements on strings, subtle percussion, and production effects are presented naturally rather than being artificially boosted.

Soundstage:
The stage is spacious for an IEM in this category, with convincing width and good depth. Live recordings and well-produced tracks feel immersive without sounding artificially wide.

Genre Performance:
It excels with pop, R&B, Bollywood, DHH, A.R. Rahman compositions, acoustic music, and tracks featuring real instruments. Bass-driven music remains impactful while preserving detail throughout the mix.

Overall, the Blackbird strikes an excellent balance between musicality and technical performance. It delivers engaging bass, natural mids, smooth treble, impressive layering, and excellent instrument separation without becoming fatiguing. Great second headphone

A beautiful lively listen, energetic and excellent if you want to have fun with your audio. Blatantly not 'neutral' sounding, so if thats what you want its excellent. I don't really use them for extended listening, instead for quick 20-30 minute sessions while i'm doing chores. Probably not a great idea to sit and listen to this forever and analyse your music, cause thats not really what this is for.
I've found myself just tossing them into my bag every day, since they're so reasonably priced I'm not afraid to take them out with me.

I guess that sums it up really, they're great to just put on and listen, have a great time, then toss them back into your bag again. It's a working man's IEM, not a thinking man's IEM.

From Soundbar to Blackbird — First Impressions from a First-Timer and a roller coster story.

It all started with me wanting a soundbar.
I opened Claude one evening and typed exactly that. What followed derailed my plans entirely. Claude asked what I listen to, how I listen, where. Before I knew it, soundbars were off the table and Headphone Zone had entered the chat.
That website was the rabbit hole entrance. I went back to Claude with questions. Then more questions. We went through frequency response, driver types, sound signatures, my entire music taste — Metallica to Carnatic, John Mayer to Linkin Park. Genre by genre, Claude helped me understand what my treble-sensitive ears actually needed.
Numerous IEM and DAC combinations were discussed and dismissed. The shortlist kept shifting. But one IEM kept consistently surfacing — the Blackbird. The Audiocular D07 made it through as the DAC.
Then my MacBook Air M4 casually humiliated my brand new DAC dongle.
But the Blackbird was never the problem.
When it arrived I put on My Guitar Gently Weeps. Then Eye in the Sky. Then Woman by Lennon. I didn't analyse anything. I just listened.
Somewhere between a soundbar recommendation and John Lennon's voice in my ears, I became an audiophile.
I blame Claude entirely and headphone zone for introducing to this new wold !

The sound quality is excellent

The bass is very detailed and textures and the best part treble is not at all piercing for my ears but the main problem is fitting it keeps coming out of my right ear and the seal is not proper but it's more of a personal thing sound is excellent blind buy worthy. The fitting is a sort of unpleasant experience for me.

Bought the Blackbird without too much thought

I was initially disappointed. But once I completed the burn-in I could judge this beautiful beast. The sound signature which tries to be balanced yet is a party in the head due to amazing BASSS. The instruments, vocals are quite balanced with bass pumping in which gives about a very good combination especially for those BASS heads like me. I'm coming from KZ Caster, and this a crazy improvement in the music quality. Though the bass is weaker here it's very apt for the music and won't suppress the vocals or the instruments. Coming from a below 2k range of IEMs I now realize the difference in music quality for the price which is like night and day!! I'll never go back from this purchase. Hope you found it useful.

Thank you for helping me discover the Headphone Zone x Oriveti Blackbird (headphone + DAC) combo. I have been using it for the 1-2 days, I have hardly any review ready yet, however I will try my to share my experience with a 4 out of 5 star rating.

Overall, the sound quality is very impressive for the price. The setup delivers clear mids, detailed highs, and a pleasantly controlled bass that works well for long listening sessions without causing fatigue. The DAC adds a noticeable improvement in clarity and separation compared to directly using my laptop/phone output. Comfort and build quality are also quite good. The fit is secure enough for extended use, and the materials feel sturdy and premium in hand. I appreciate the attention to detail in the design and packaging, which adds to the overall experience.
The reason I am giving a 4/5 instead of a full 5/5 is due to a few minor points:
The cable could have been slightly softer / there is a bit of microphonics while walking.

1- The sound signature is slightly on the treble high side, I would prefer a little more BASS heavy side for my taste, I believe it will take some burn time & hope the BASS will improve, so will take a little time to adjust & Can send my review may be after a month.

2- The DAC can get a bit warm after longer sessions.

These are not deal breakers, and I am overall very happy with the purchase and the service from your team. I will gladly recommend Headphone Zone and this combo to friends who are looking to upgrade their listening experience.

The audio quality is excellent however i would advice to use a dac as inbuilt dac wouldn't help unlock their the potential of these lovely iems. Bass compared to budget 1k-2k wireless earphones is pretty less but more than what avg iem has.
