Planar magnetic drivers combine characteristics of several driver types. They employ magnetic fields akin to dynamic and balanced armature drivers. However, planar magnetic drivers, like electrostatic drivers, use a flat, thin diaphragm in contrast to a coil. The planar drivers are known for their quick transient response.

The S12 Pro offers an affordable entry point into the planar magnetic sound experience. Additionally, the S12 PRO comes with a versatile modular stock cable, allowing for easy connection to both unbalanced and balanced sources, enhancing its versatility even further.
I enjoyed the Letshuoer S12 quite a bit. It impressed me most with its soundstage and midrange fidelity. Its emphasis is presented cleanly, providing a strong body of frequency content that makes each mix feel complete.
The S12 Pro are arguably one of the better sets to consider. Boasting fast transients, above-average technicalities, a solid build, and a balanced V-shaped tuning, the S12 Pro do most departments well.
The LetShuoer S12 Pro is an IEM with a small and lightweight monitor shell, which offers a pretty comfortable wearing experience with my average sized ear chonca. The passive noise isolation of the S12 Pro is on a sufficient level.
It's an overall well-rounded IEM that can suit a wide range of sound preferences. Furthermore, the inclusion of both foam and silicone tips is extremely useful for those who wish to alter the sound output.
Bright: Sharp treble, rich mids and lack lustre bass.
Balanced: A neutral sound that doesn't emphasise on one frequency.

As rest of the buyers have already given detailed technical reviews so I’ll just keep it short.
Coming from Sennheiser HD598 & KZ Terminators, I can tell these are in a completely different league in terms of everything. S12 Pros certainly have a WOW factor when it comes to its beautiful soundstage. Its almost hard to believe how such small IEMs have such wide and accurate soundstage.
One thing - The sound signature of Planar Magnetic is noticeably different than your regular Dynamic + BA driver IEMs. For Planars : Its like the music is being played at a constant-fixed intensity while you are sitting at the centre of the stage and music uniformly filled around you. While Dynamic + BA gives you a sound signature where music is thrown directly at you in a straight line with varying intensity of lows, highs and mids.
So in my opinion Planars are not for everyone or you might have to adapt to their sound signature. I think Planars don’t have the “exciting” factor, but a soft, wide soundstage and technical-detailing factor. (LOL its hard to turn my exact thoughts into words.

I read in reviews that it is brighter but that is too much of an understatement. The high pitch sound was grating and uncomfortable to the ears. Others seem to like it (no idea how), maybe because I am more treble sensitive than others.
S12 pro is a planar magnetic IEM which is moderately easy to drive (more in 'power' section.
OVERALL SOUND FOR THOSE IN A HURRY - VERY RICH DETAILED FULL BODIED SOUND WITH GREAT DETAILS AND DYNAMICS. Please do not be fooled by the "bright" sound signature label on the HPZ product detail section and think the sound is thin and tinny. Yes it is bright but the entire sound is very textured, juicy and dynamic (use foam tips if you are not willing to eq and want less treble). Great alternative for those wanting Timeless but not willing to spend 16k+. Even better results when applying EQ (google WAVELET for those with android devices or QUDELIX 5k dac amp).
Comfort - the corner of the sharp rectangular part on the back of the body sometimes pressed against the cartilaginous part of my right ear causing some discomfort for me. However, all ears are different so you might not face this issue at all. Apart from that no issues for me whatsoever.
Fit - No issues with memory foam or silicon tips.
Sound : I used both foam & silicon tips .If you are not willing to eq be aware that silicon tips let in all of the treble which can be harsh for some people and on some songs. The foam tips alleviate the harsh treble by a reasonable margin. The s12 pro (and the s12) take eq like a champ though and the sound changes drastically. I used AutoEQ profile for the s12 in Wavelet. For iOS users the only option unfortunately is to use something like the Qudelix 5k which has Parametric EQ built in (and functions as a great DAC & AMP). As great as it is however, it is notoriously difficult to get in India so be on the lookout.
BASS: If you thought BLON - BL03 has great bass, think again. This thing trumps many 'basshead' IEMs out of the water by virtue of having incredible quality AND quantity of bass. On subbass heavy tracks and movies with rumbling thunderstorms you can just feel the planar magnetic drivers working their magic as you witness one of their many prowesses (i.e., great bass extension, which yoou can amplify further by EQ). This IEM will give you a great glimpse at what is called "textured bass" in the audiophile lingo.
MIDS: Before EQ the mids are somewhat nasally but you probably won't be able to catch that if you are not very experienced with a lot of IEMs. However comparing this with a neutral set you will find male vocals to be somewhat distanced and tinny (not a lot though) and female vocals to be highly amplified. Applying the AutoEQ profile in Wavelet fixed this issue like magic. All the midrange instruments came alive and the sound immediately became what can be considered "neutral". Amazing detail retrieval from midrange especially at this price point. On 'Bird on a Wire' by Jennifer Warnes (one of the best songs to test sound quality of any headphone/speaker according to professional acoustic engineers btw, but I don't like this song) the lower midrange stays clean due to the well controlled bass and didn't feel nasally or congested after eq.
TREBLE: very airy and detailed. This area will be the first where you will notice the most difference from cheaper/less competitive IEMs. Hi-hats and cymbals ring for a little longer than your average dynamic budget IEMs. However I would like to remind you that all this is for EQed treble. Without eq the treble can come across as shrill (esp. with silicon tips). On "Hotel California (HFO)" the 12 string acoustic comes across as very well extended and beautiful. The timbre seemed to me just a touch off but that comes with planar magnetic territory, and frankly most people won't even notice this.
DETAIL, SOUNDSTAGE, IMAGING - Quite detailed considering the price its available. On "New Light" by Kazuki there are a lot of layered sounds of nature (children playing, wind blowing, and soft footsteps on the dry leaves). I count the number of footsteps I can hear in the first minute of the song. On headphones like HD560s and HD600, I can hear 6-7 footsteps. On BLON BL03 I can hear 5 footsteps (that too after paying a lot of attention, otherwise they are not apparently audible). On the S12 pro I can hear 9-10 footsteps, most of which are very clearly audible even if you are just listening casually.
Imaging is very nice with good layering and separation of instruments (something planars are known to do well) but imaging is not very precise like some top end IEMs like MEST Mk2 and U12T, as expected.
Soundstage is not very big (expected in an IEM) but the stage definitely exists outside your head. I found the depth to be more than width.
Dynamics are surprisingly amazing for a planar and goes easily into dynamic driver territory. On "Give Life Back to Music" by Daft Punk the first 50 seconds sound very dynamic with great separation between the quieter synth and louder snares and drums and therefore sound very enjoyable
Power - phones can drive them but you have to max out the volume. Being a planar they are little harder to drive so amplifier recommended but e...
S12 Pro is one of the most engaging IEM I have ever listened to. It has a lush, warm and sparkly tonality, with tons of details sprinkled everywhere. The Bass is powerful but can feel a bit 'soft' in impact but it is very enjoyable nevertheless. The Mids are lush and clean and never felt recessed at all during my review. The treble is bright and shimmery. The treble on S12 used to be just a bit too much for me but S12 Pro reduces it enough to not be a problem anymore. It is bright but is like a perfectly done balancing act on an edge of a knife, it's just the perfect amount of treble if you like bright-sounding sets. The tone and timbre on this set might not be the most accurate but since this set sounds so coherent and fun to listen to that it hasn't ever remotely been a problem for me. If you are not A/Bing sets you will get used to it almost instantly. Though fans of classical music should try it for themselves before committing to this set.
For me, it sets itself apart from all other sets in its price range owing to its lush, warm sound which is hard to find in a sea of 'thin' sounding competition all the while maintaining an impressive level of technicalities.
