Sennheiser - IE 600

Excellent build qualtiy and sound. Bass is punchy and rumbly. Mids are good, but treble has some peaks, which can be cleaned up with certain eartips & mods. Timbre is very natural and sound is coherent. Hatsoof to Sennheiser engineers for producing such a sound with single DD and I often get surprised to realize that.

If you are in the market at this price point. This is a no brainer. Don't let the single full range driver fool you. They've done some magic with it.

You can hear the pluck of the guitar and tin of the string.

And I don't know what they've done with the bass. but Not only can you hear it. You can feel it.

Try and audition this if you don't believe me.

Know what you are in for before you make the purchase. I will put this into context: This is not a neutral IEM. Headphone Zone, please consider revising it's category. This IEM is V-SHAPED through and through. Before you gloss over this fact, consider that this is the most tastefully done V-shaped tuning you may have ever heard in any IEM, period. Bravo Sennheiser, for working your magick on a single 7mm Dynamic Driver. It punches above it's weight (and size), especially on the low end. It's not for bassheads by any means, but there's no denying what you get here is pretty awesome. It can slam, and yet it can stay out of the way when it needs to. It can add a touch of warmth to vocals, but can do so without muddying anything else. It's tightly controlled, and yet can be authoritative. But all this comes with a catch, and it's a pretty subjective one: you will have to listen to it at moderate volumes. Turn it up, and the bass can scale. But so can the treble, and for me this is where it starts to fall apart. A sharp peak at 8-9khz, while enjoyable can go both ways. On the one hand, it adds a nice touch of "zing" and "spice" to music, giving it the impression of being extremely detailed. This complements the warm tuning of the left-end EQ very well, especially since the bass is linear: there is no shelf, peak or tuck in the bass. On the other, there is a very distinct sibilance, and you will definitely notice it in rhythm based music: A distinct "tss-tss" to constantly accompany instrumental percussions, which can become uncomfortable at higher volume. A pity, because to enjoy the bass fully you definitely need higher volume ! The vocals are somewhat recessed, and that is to be expected given its tuning. As for the soundstage and imaging: No. Average at best, non existent at worst. It completely lacks verticality, so gamers please bear that in mind. You would be better served with a multi-driver IEM like MoonDrop Variations.
The build and fit are flawless, however the cables and included tips could use some updates. It's one of the most comfortable IEMs available.The looks are plain and industrial, but also very classy. This is at the opposite end of the spectrum compared to resin coated Chi-Fi jwellery. It's an 8.5/10 IEM, fun to listen to and not overly analytical: If you can forego the aggressive treble on it.

I think this one of the best dynamic driver IEMs that currently exist in the market. Even though it's metal, it's very comfortable and lightweight for long listening. Very clean, very neutral with slightly elevated sub-bass and treble. But nothing overdone to become unpleasant and tiring. I also happen to own a pair of Moondrop Variations, which are also very neutral and have similar sound staging and signature. But I do prefer the IE600s more for longer listening, because of the comfort and that little more spice that the Variations lack. In short, to me, these are slightly EQed Variations.

My first step up from the 10 to 15k bracket Iems, pulled the trigger after A+ from crin and ** for value at 700 USD. At 45k I think these are a no brainer. I lived the og tin hifi P1 which I've been using for almost 5 years, in the meantime tried so many but always loved the p1 for how natural it sounded with lot of power. But I always felt there is something better out there.

The first session was underwhelming cause I was brain fatigued by listening to all my Iems before the delivery to compare it better. After day 2, this thing makes everthing else garbage.

The detail, the authenticity of the sound of every instrument is sooo Good that u can't use it for casual listening. Treble is a too sharp at times but need to hook it to a better amp just to have presice volume control, good luck trying to use with mobile devices as the volume steps are a problem as they tend to get too loud too soon.

Comfortability is a tad bit lower than the p1 (the most conformable iem). I used with the ones I got from ikko OH10 and it paired so well, the spin fits are also good. The originals are not bad but the oh10s tips made the seal perfect and the increased the comfort drastically, spin fit is a close 2nd.

Soundstage is non existent for me. It's like listening inside a ball of sound but instrument separation and layering is top notch. Pretty intimate experience.

P1 made me hear things like never before and this just took to a different level. It's injustice to the iem to use it as a casual iem as it's very distracting. Drop everything, close ur eyes and u will be sitting next to ARR.

If you know and have heard Sennheiser over ears and like their house sound. This carries on their proven legacy for what it's worth in iem form.

All comments made about sound are with swapped silicone wide-bore eartips.

It's a fun engaging lively neutral and detailed sound experience. I use the 2 words neutral and fun together here. Yes the bass is fun when it needs to be, otherwise it is neutral. It is pure thunderous quality, tight but not sterile like BA bass.

Mids have always been a strong point of Sennheiser. Mids are simply superb here.

Highs are where things might get dicey. They are extended and reveal the most intricate details. But if you don't have the right tips to handle the spiciness, then you may be in trouble. But once you have the right fit. They sound very resolving without any unwanted painful frequency peaks intruding.

The soundstage is excellent. Positioning of instruments is natural. These sound like hd560s in iem form. I hear a U shaped sound signature.

People sensitive to treble steer away from these.

This is my endgame iem coming from etymotic er2xr. Fully worth it. Plus the build quality on these is impeccable. You would be able to sleep in these if you so desired.

The only true con in these are the stock rubber tips. They make the bass sound less transparent. Spinfit cp100 will help with that but reduces the openness of the sound. If you have a collection of tips to choose from that would be the best.

Update: I swapped my tips with Spinfit CP145. Happy to say everything still holds well after almost 2 years now.

so i paid 42000 something for this earphone and it has very weak base and it feels heavy and uncomfortable in the ear too for casual ps5 gaming .even 2000 inr worth sony xb series sounds better ..will never buy anything again from his company ..all marketing ..i felt like i was victim of fraud

This IEM has the sweetspot for everything Lows, Highs and Mids.

Highs are highlight it is well detailed crisp but not fatigue or overpowering
Name it anything Instrument separation, layers in the Vocals, Every small detail, Rumbling Bass it has everything.

if you have the budget just go for it.

Only Con is the Stock Ear tips are not bringing out the full potential of this IEM. I replaced it with something i had before oh man the difference is massive. Order a decent ear tip along with it.

Throw at it, it dissects. Insanely well extended sound.

Build: Durable housing, wire and jack. Fragile connector (spinning mmcx). Don’t spin it too much.

Comfort and fit: Great. Small and snug. Find the tip that fits deep (smoother treble).

Bass: Huge impact but at a small point in the centre of the head. Excellent reverb, texture and separation. Separates everything (cello from organ with same notes)…like easily.

Mids: Textured and present just as much as required. A few regions are suspended to let the air from the highs breathe. Tastefully done.

Highs: Insanely well textured and extended. I could hear when 2-3 strings are played vs a single note on violins (Hilary Hahn Bach violin concertos). It’s so smooth that my girlfriend thought it was a warm iem.

Separation: Excellent. Even the reverbs of the already played notes travel and dissipate slowly. I could feel them moving.

Soundstage: Mostly near but something happening farther gives a goosebumps evoking peak, almost scary layering.

Imaging: Great, I could pin out everyone.

Details: On par with the bests. (10 years ago would’ve cost around $ 3 grand)

Resolution: More than our mere mortal ears can handle.

Recommended for Classical, jazz and intensely busy tracks. With the Harman tuning I was missing out on a lot of nuances and reverbs, pianos weren’t giving their full extravagant sound, violins sounded thicker, oboes were muffled…now I feel complete. Compared with the graph of the Symphonium Crimson, instantly purchased the ie600.

Having no knowledge about what audiophile sound is, I Bought Sennheiser IE600. Just by looking at reviews and bet went in a right way 😂. I was blown away at first how clean they sound compared to my kz zsn pro x 😅. One issue is bass in some tracks is a little more which affects other frequencies with little eq this gets solved as well. Cannot believe how sennheiser tuned this with this precision and with single driver in each ear i was blown away. ♥️

Well sound quality is great but they are painfull to wear for longer periods of time i tried using different tips but still same and wearing them is a hassle as have to keep on checking which is right and left as they rotate 360 so u have to look for red colour one for the right but in dark you will have hard time.not worth it

Sennheiser - IE 600

Yes it's everything I expected. The only con I have is that connector feels bit flimsy and might come off easily.

First of all, many thanks to all of you guys at Headphone Zone. Thanks for your patience in answering all my queries and for letting me try out different items at the experience centre in Andheri, which led me to buy the IE600, for which I will be eternally grateful to you. I went in to buy a Portable player but ended up buying the IE 600 since I was so mesmerized by its sound.

I have not heard many Headphones or IEM’s till now. Until recently I was listening to music on Tidal Hi-Fi Plus through my iMac, Chord Mojo, and Sennheiser HD660S. I was happy enough with this setup but wanted something portable so that I could use it during my walks. I have used only sub 10000 rupees IEM’s so far and was always skeptical if the expensive ones were worth it. The IE600 is worth every penny. Presently I am listening to it through my Chord mojo which is connected to my phone. Even with this set up it sounds great.

Beautifully detailed sound revealing intimate details, tight bass, and excellent soundstage. Highs can be a bit harsh though (as mentioned by many others) but definitely not a deal breaker. I will be trying them out with different portable players in the future to see if that mellows down the highs a bit.

Though they are not noise isolating, external noise is almost absent which is thanks to the awesome design I guess.

IEM’s rarely fit me well but these fit like a charm which is really important for comfortable listening while walking.

I wholeheartedly recommend them and feel they are absolute value for money.

I will start with the negative first & it is the cable. Not bad, but with the premium price of the IEM, expected a cable which looks and feels better. Stock tips could also have been better to enhance the experience. But this is where the negatives end. Once you start to listen, you begin to marvel the engineering from this highly regarded brand from Germany. In such a small footprint, they have managed to put pure excellence in terms of audio quality. You almost forget if you are listening on a full sized headphone or a ultra portable IEM. I noticed a definite improvement in sound quality while using the balanced version of the cable connected to IFI Hip DAC V2.

After 8 hours of burn in I listen for 1 hours through my HiBy Pro 3. It sounds just like I am in a live concert…every instrument was heard clearly and feeling of bass is also perfect not loud. I am fully satisfied with my purchase. Thanks head phone zone

Heard lots of IEMs. This is very very special.

Here are my observations after spending a whole day with it -

1. Tried it first with my Fiio M11S and was disappointed that it sounded bland. Not bad. Not great either. Now, I listen to a lot of Korean music, and my test song for any new device is "Wind Song" by Kei. She's my benchmark for female vocals, and if she sounds great when she hits the high notes, the gear gets a pass from me. The M11S paired with the IE 600 (and also with the Blessing 3) sounds a bit shrill when she goes all high-pitch. I guess the culprit here is the DAP.
2. Tried it with my IBASSO DX170 and I was blown away! At volume 9, all I had to do was close my eyes to her lovely voice. Rich and lush, I'll say, to put it very crisply.

The minuses - the stock cable is absolute rubbish. I was almost tempted to do knock off a star for it.
As for the stock tips, after all I've heard about them, I didn't even try and settled for a pair from what I already had.
A premium IEM like this - Sennheiser should do better with cables and tips.

I'm yet to try this with my phone and other sources that I have. As of now I'm happy with the way it sounds with the DX170.
