⚖️ Balanced Output

We often say balanced output is like using both hands to carry something heavy it distributes power evenly and keeps things stable. In audio gear, balanced output helps reduce unwanted noise and interference, especially over longer cables. Think of it as a cleaner, more efficient way to transmit your music, ideal for anyone using high end DACs, amps, or studio grade headphones 🎧. You’ll typically find it on gear with XLR or 4.4mm connectors, and it's a must have if you’re chasing that ultra clean signal path.

Here’s what’s actually happening: a balanced output uses two separate signals, one inverted, so when interference is picked up along the cable, it gets cancelled out when the signals are recombined. The result? Cleaner audio, better dynamic range, and more power output especially when paired with balanced headphones. The trade off? You’ll need gear that supports balanced connections on both ends to really enjoy the benefits.

When you see '⚖️ Balanced Output' products, expect: ultra low noise, more headroom, and better synergy with high impedance headphones or sensitive IEMs ideal for serious listening setups.

🔌 Upgradeable Cable

Not satisfied with the current cable? No problem 🔧!

We believe in giving you complete freedom to customise your listening experience. These IEMs feature detachable cable systems that let you swap, upgrade, or replace cables whenever you want. Think of it like having a modular smartphone you can upgrade individual components without replacing the whole device. Whether you're looking to improve sound quality, try different materials, or simply replace a worn cable, the choice is entirely yours.

The standardised upgradeable cable connection ensures compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket cables, giving you access to different sound characteristics and build qualities. This modular approach means your IEMs can evolve with your audio journey, allowing for easy maintenance and personalisation.

When you spot "🔌 Upgradeable Cable" products, expect future flexibility and the freedom to customise your audio experience through cable upgrades and replacements.

Why it Sounds Amazing

🔈 Hybrid Drivers

Looking for a combo of rich and detailed sound 🎵?

We love describing hybrid drivers as getting "the best of both worlds" in one beautifully engineered package. These headphones feature sophisticated hybrid technology that masterfully combines different driver types to deliver extraordinary sonic experiences. Think of it like having a sports car with luxury comfort you get the precision and speed of performance engineering combined with the richness and smoothness of premium materials.

By integrating multiple driver technologies, these devices achieve both rich, full bodied sound and intricate detail reproduction. The result is a harmonious blend that captures subtle nuances and powerful dynamics, with each driver type contributing unique strengths to create a complete audio experience ⚖️.

When you see "🔈 Hybrid Drivers" products, expect expertly balanced performance that combines the best characteristics of different driver technologies for complete musical enjoyment.

🧈 Warm & Smooth Sound Signature

We tend to describe warm and smooth as the audio equivalent of a hot cup of tea on a rainy day. Comforting, rich and very easy to love. Voices sound full, guitars sound rounded, and you look up four hours later wondering where the evening went. This is comfort listening, and there is no shame in that 🎶.

Here's what's actually happening. The bass and lower midrange are elevated to give the sound body and richness, while the treble is gently tamed so nothing ever turns sharp. That combination is wonderful for jazz, vocals, indie and old school rock, and it is genuinely forgiving of recordings that are a little rough. The trade off is precision. This is not the tuning for picking a mix apart, and detail hunters will find it soft.

When you see "🧈 Warm & Smooth Sound Signature" products, expect full bodied, relaxed sound made for long sessions rather than close analysis.

💣 Thick Bass / Kickass Bass

When We say kickass bass, We’re talking about bass that slaps you right in the face in the best way possible. It’s that visceral, chest thumping low end that makes you feel like you’re in the front row of a concert or a nightclub. If you’re into hip hop, EDM, Bollywood beats, or anything with a deep groove, this is where the fun begins. 🔊💥

Here’s what’s going on technically: the low frequency range is heavily emphasised, resulting in powerful sub bass rumble and impactful mid bass slam. This kind of tuning brings weight, warmth, and physicality to your music. The trade off? It might mask some midrange detail or high frequency sparkle but for bassheads, the emotional payoff is more than worth it.

🍿 Crisp Vocals & Instruments

Vocals and instruments sound so good, it's like a warm hug 🤗!

We believe that when vocals are reproduced correctly, they should feel like the artist is performing right there with you. These headphones demonstrate exceptional prowess in reproducing clear, articulate vocals and instruments, with each element rendered in stunning detail and separation. Think of it like having front row seats to an intimate acoustic performance where every breath, every string resonance, every subtle inflection comes through perfectly.

The natural timbre and tonal accuracy create an engaging presentation where every nuance is preserved while maintaining fatigue free listening. Each word, note, and subtle inflection is reproduced with outstanding definition and emotional connection 🎤.

When you encounter "🍿 Crisp Vocals & Instruments" products, expect vocal excellence that brings you closer to the emotional heart of every performance.

🍦 Smooth & Sweet Treble

Seeking something that sounds smooth and devoid of harshness 🥰? We tend to describe these headphones as having "silk like highs" that caress your ears rather than assault them. These products are meticulously designed to deliver high frequencies that are wonderfully gentle, offering a listening experience that's both sophisticated and delightful. Think of it like the difference between premium chocolate and cheap candy both are sweet, but one provides refined pleasure while the other can be overwhelming.

The carefully tuned treble presentation ensures musical details come through with remarkable clarity while maintaining natural, fatigue free character. The refined high frequency presentation maintains excellent detail and air while avoiding any hint of harshness or stridency ✨.

When you see "🍦 Smooth & Sweet Treble" products, expect refined high frequencies that deliver crisp detail with a touch of sweetness and sophistication.

🥃 Perfect to Layback & Relax

In our experience, a laid back sound is like sinking into your favorite armchair after a long day. It doesn’t push details in your face or try to overwhelm you with energy. Instead, it gives your music room to breathe and unfold naturally. Think of it like sipping a glass of smooth whisky there’s warmth, body, and ease. These headphones or IEMs are ideal for those who want to unwind and soak in a mellow vibe, whether it's a jazz trio or acoustic singer songwriter set. 🎧

Now, what’s actually happening here is a tuning that gently rolls off the treble and offers a warm, full low end. The midrange stays intimate, while bass adds comfort without punch, and highs avoid fatigue, making long sessions a pleasure. You won’t get maximum detail or separation but that’s the point. It’s not about dissecting the mix it’s about relaxing into it. For bedtime listening or just zoning out, this is your sonic hammock. 😌

A Refined Take on Warm and Smooth. In the Budget Segment for the First Time.

We went to ddHiFi for a new project aimed at the Indian audiophile community. An IEM that represented value for money for a beginner audiophile. But Demond Ding asked us why the world needed another budget IEM. And really, it didn't. So he said, why not do something that's never been done before in the budget segment?

That conversation became the Iris and the Skyfall. Two IEMs we made with Demond from the ground up, with the build quality of the world's best IEMs, in the budget segment, for the first time.

The Skyfall is the one tuned for people who want to feel the music.

The budget segment has plenty of warm and bassy IEMs. Most are crude. They sound impressive for ten minutes and then fatigue takes over. Almost nothing in the budget segment offers a refined take on , the kind you can crank up and leave on for hours. That's the gap. The Skyfall fills it.

Play "Skyfall" by Adele. The orchestra has weight. The bassline under the verse has body. Her voice sits in a warm pocket, rich and unhurried. The never gets in your face. You can turn it up as loud as you want, and nothing bites back.

It's not made to be dramatic. And yet it is.

We didn't want to make another budget IEM. There are enough of those. We wanted to make something that didn't exist. The Skyfall is half the answer. Put on a film score, turn it up, and leave it on. That's what it was made for.

Raghav Somani

Designed by Demond Ding from ddHiFi

ddHiFi is a fabulous company that makes some really high quality products. Specifically, their accessories and connectors are the best anywhere in the world. The quality, the craftsmanship, and the attention to detail has made them a favorite amongst the audiophile community. During the collaboration, Headphone Zone took to the drawing board with ddHiFi’s founder, Demond Ding, to spec out and design the Hi-Res DAC. ddHiFi has been a phenomenal partner to work with. Demond certainly is a master of his craft.

A Build You Won't Find at Three or Four Times the Price

The Skyfall uses a fully solid, 3D-printed, medical-grade resin shell. Look at the IEMs that share this construction: the Moondrop Blessing 3, the Dita Audio Project M. These are flagship IEMs, priced at three or four times what the Skyfall costs. Until now, that build approach has not made it into the budget segment.

It matters because of durability. Most budget IEMs use hollow moulded resin, which can crack under force. Metal shells split at the seam. A solid resin shell does neither. Nothing inside to rattle. No join to come apart. One dense, precisely shaped piece of medical-grade resin with both drivers locked inside.

A 10mm Nano-Titanium Driver, Rare at This Price

A nano-titanium diaphragm is a flagship-tier driver material. Stiff enough to move air without flexing, light enough to respond fast, damped enough to deliver with weight rather than bloat. You see it in IEMs costing many times more. You almost never see it in the budget segment.

We chose it because the Skyfall's tuning needs a driver that can handle the low end without losing control. The result is bass with shape, not just quantity. The kick drum has impact. The bassline has texture. The sub stays under the song instead of taking over.

Warm, Smooth, and Built for Hours

The Skyfall is tuned Bodied in the Rich in the lower mids. deliberately relaxed, which means the Skyfall trades the last layer of air for the ability to play loud and long without getting harsh.

This is not an IEM for treble-heads or people chasing every micro-detail. It's an IEM for the person who wants to put on a film score, turn the volume up, and stay in it for an hour. Or two. Or three.

Try the Adele track. Try Hans Zimmer's Interstellar score. Try Kendrick Lamar. Try A.R. Rahman's Bombay Theme. The Skyfall doesn't try to dazzle you. It pulls you in.

A Two-Way Crossover That Actually Does Its Job

The secret to a sounding like one IEM is the crossover. It decides which driver handles which frequency, and how the two drivers hand the sound off in the middle. Do it badly and you can hear the seam.

The Skyfall uses a proper two-way crossover, combining electronic RC components with a physical acoustic design. Most IEMs at this price either skip the crossover or use the cheapest possible version. The Skyfall does not. You don't hear two drivers. You hear a song.

Hand-Painted Marbled Blue Faceplate

Every Skyfall has a multi-layer art-painted faceplate in blue. The pattern is not printed. It's painted in layers, then sealed under the clear resin, which is why every unit is slightly different from the next.

Hold one up to the light and the blue shifts. The marbling has depth. You can see into it.

No two pairs of Skyfall look exactly the same. Yours is one of one.

A 4.4mm Balanced Cable, In The Box

The Skyfall comes with a proper balanced cable as standard. High-purity silver-plated OFC conductor, aluminium-shell plug, hand-braided end to end.

A balanced connection gives you more headroom, a blacker background, and a slightly more spacious sound compared to single-ended. On an IEM tuned this warmly, it matters.

If you want to go single-ended, the means you can swap the cable out whenever you want. But we'd recommend trying it balanced first.

What audiophiles think about the Headphone Zone x ddHiFi Skyfall

We don't write these reviews. The audiophiles who bought it, listened, and formed an opinion do. This is exactly what they heard.

Abu'l Kalam, New Delhi

I have listened to more songs since I got these than in a long while.

Skyfall is a lovely IEM. It sounds as described and I find myself reaching for it a lot more than any other IEM I own. I listen to a wide range of genres and I didn't feel limited. They are very comfortable for long sessions. It feels premium, and delivers a lot more than the price point might suggest. The highest praise I can give Skyfall is that I have listened to a lot more songs ever since I got them than I have in quite a while.

Yash, New Delhi

They take you into a different world.

This IEM takes you away from those bass heavy, harsh treble IEMs. Great build quality with a nice fit. Once you put them in your ears, you really don't feel like taking them out. They are so calm and warm sounding they take you into a different world. It didn't matter if I was listening at low or high volume, these are perfect. Old songs, ghazals, electronic, downtempo, it all sounded really nice.

Shubham Sikari, Bengaluru

The world feels a little quieter for a while.

This IEM feels perfect for those moments when you are trying to unwind after a long day. It has a very calming and relaxed presentation that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the music instead of focusing on technicalities. Even during short breaks, it creates an easygoing atmosphere where the world feels a little quieter for a while. Coming from bass heavy sets, I did not expect to enjoy something like this so much, but it surprised me with how effortless it is over long sessions.

Zarif Sait, Bengaluru

So smooth and lovely, and they look amazing.

They match the description very well. They are so smooth and lovely, and they look amazing as well. I wish they would come in a 3.5mm audio jack too, but the cable is changeable.

Sourangshu Pal, Bengaluru

Warm and smooth, love it over my Defiant.

Currently in the burn in process. It's warm and fatigue free, and the bass is really good. Skyfall justifies the price with its offerings. I was using the Defiant previously, and I love the warm, smooth tuning in the Skyfall.

Luxury Tuning Without Fatigue

Named after the iconic track, the Skyfall brings a sophisticated, darker tuning that reminds me of the much pricier AFUL Explorer. It is a high-volume set that stays completely fatigue-free. Finding a fully filled resin shell at this price is rare, making it feel like a boutique custom piece.

Bass Impact Done Right

I tested the Skyfall with everything from Classic Rock to House and Techno, and the bass impact is spectacular. It stays warm and thick without losing separation between tracks. It is a colored sound, for sure, so purists might look elsewhere, but for anyone wanting a fun, engaging listen, this IEM hits a rare sweet spot.

Where Midrange Takes the Spotlight

Spending time with the Skyfall, it follows a tuning that sits neatly between the Truthear Pure and Aful Explorer. The midrange takes center stage, making vocals sound engaging and lively. It works especially well for K-pop and modern genres, though it’s not aimed at those chasing heavy bass or sharp treble.

Customers praised the warm, smooth sound signature ideal for fatigue-free listening sessions. "Some of the best music I've heard out of an IEM," one shopper noted. The premium 4.4mm balanced cable impressed many. However, concerns arose about quality control (torn eartips), bass response varies, and some felt it lacks value versus competitors.

  • Some of the best music I've heard out of an IEM, can't distinguish from very high priced iems
  • Delivers a cozy, fatigue-free listening experience with warm, rich low-end and smooth treble
  • Sound is warm and immersive, build quality is top-tier, feels way more expensive than it is

Great Cable, Mediocre Value, and Questionable Quality Control

Review:
I’ve been using the Headphone Zone x ddHiFi "Skyfall" IEMs for about two months now. After the initial hype wore off and I had real time to live with them, my feelings are incredibly mixed. It’s an okay set of IEMs, but they are definitely not worth the asking price.

The Unboxing & Quality Control Nightmare
My experience started on a bad note due to poor quality control. The included narrow-bore eartips arrived completely torn inside the packaging. When I reached out to Headphone Zone support to get just the tips replaced, they insisted on a full return of the entire IEM package just to swap out a piece of silicone. I didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping the whole unit back and waiting weeks just for eartips, so I had to make do. For a premium collaboration product, this kind of QC and rigid return policy is disappointing.

Sound Performance: Hyped Up, But Just "Okay"
After two months of regular listening, the sound quality is a bit of a letdown compared to how heavily it has been projected by reviewers and marketing. Don't get me wrong—it doesn't sound bad. The tuning is decent, and it handles most genres adequately. However, it simply does not perform at the level of its price bracket. You can find significantly better technicalities and resolution in much cheaper sets these days. It’s acceptable, but far from exceptional.

The Silver Lining: The Cable
If there is one absolute highlight of this package, it’s the cable. The balanced 4.4mm cable included with the Skyfall is easily the best part of the entire purchase. It feels premium, handles beautifully without tangling, and provides a rock-solid balanced connection to my source gear. Honestly, it feels like you're paying a premium price tag mostly for a high-quality ddHiFi cable, with an average pair of IEMs thrown in as an afterthought.

To enjoy the IEM I had to spend Rs. 400 (After point discount) Ultimate Eartip Set. There again QC issue.

Sound is good

Sound is good . Its looks and design are very pretty Comfortable for longer sessions. But cable is not that good

We are genuinely so happy that these lived up to everything you hoped for.

Good

I got 6 pairs of narrow bore eartips instead of 3 wide bore eartips and one of the medium sized(my size) eartip is torn on arrival which leads to no seal other than that the iem is beautiful and sounds as good as it looks. If only the QC problem is not there that is if I got correct pairs of eartips and not broken one it would be 5 stars for me.

We are just a bunch of music nerds, so hearing your excitement means everything.

The Jadeja of IEMs!

The DDHiFi Skyfall is an absolute gem for the price. The sound is warm and immersive with a bass that hits right in the middle of your head, plus a surprisingly wide soundstage. The build quality is top-tier (feels way more expensive than it is), and getting such a high-quality 4.4mm balanced cable in the box is a huge win—it’s now my go-to cable for my other IEMs too. Highly recommended for anyone wanting premium quality on a budget!

It makes us so happy to know you are rediscovering your library with these.

The most fun IEM I own.

Skyfall is a lovely IEM. It sounds as described and I find myself reaching for it a lot more than any other IEM I own. I listen to a wide range of genres and I didn't feel limited by this IEM (I do prefer a warm signature). They are very comfortable for long sessions. I would not recommend these to someone who values a neutral sound signature. These are warm, though, the treble is not that rolled-off. Even with metal music I found them to be very enjoyable.

It is very pretty and feels premium. Although the balanced cable that came with the IEM doesn't feel as sturdy, it does delivery clear audio, I will update the review if that changes. I like Skyfall a lot so far. It delivers a lot more than the price point might suggests.

The highest praise I can give Skyfall is that, I have listened to a lot more songs ever since I got them, than I have in quite a while.

It makes us so happy to know you are rediscovering your library with these.

Warm & peaceful listening IEM

This IEM takes you away from those bass heavy, harsh treble IEMS. Great build quality with a nice fit. Once you put them in your ears you really don't feel like taking them out. They are so calm and warm sounding they take you into a different world. Doesn't matter if you are listening at low volume or high volume, these IEM's are perfect. I have listened old songs, Ghazals, Electronic, Downtempo it sounded really very nice and how effortless it is to listen to for long sessions.
I have paired them with FIIO K17, Onix Alpha X1, which paired really nicely with the Skyfall’s smoother and warmer presentation.
Keep aside technicalities and then try this IEM, believe me you will not be disappointed.

Hey! Thank you so much for sharing such a beautifully detailed experience with the Headphone Zone X DDHiFi Skyfall. We’re truly delighted to know that its warm, smooth, and fatigue-free sound signature has resonated so well with your music preferences and long listening sessions.

It’s wonderful to hear that the pairing with the FiiO - K17 and Onix Alpha X1 complemented the presentation so nicely across genres like Ghazals, Electronic, and Downtempo. Your description of simply enjoying the music beyond technicalities is something we deeply appreciate.

Thank you once again for your support and thoughtful feedback. Keep the music playing!

Peaceful Listening

This IEM honestly feels perfect for those moments when you are trying to unwind after a hectic and long day at college or work. It has a very calming and relaxed presentation that makes you just want to slow down and enjoy the music instead of constantly focusing on technicalities.

Even during short breaks, it creates this very easygoing atmosphere where the world feels a little quieter for a while. The warm and smooth tuning helps a lot with that. Nothing feels aggressive or fatiguing, and the bass is present just enough to keep the music engaging without becoming overwhelming.

Coming from bass-heavy and more energetic sets like the FatFreq x HBB Deuce, 7Hz Legato, KZ AM16, Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue 2, and even the FiiO x Jade Audio JT1, I honestly did not expect myself to enjoy something like this so much. But the Skyfall ended up surprising me because of how comfortable and effortless it is to listen to for long sessions.

For this review, I mainly used it with the BLON V1 DAC (CS43198 version), which paired really nicely with the Skyfall’s smoother and warmer presentation.

What I appreciate most is that it does not try too hard to impress you immediately. Instead, it slowly grows on you the more you listen to it, especially if you just want to relax and enjoy your music peacefully. It feels less like an “exciting” set and more like something you genuinely look forward to using when you want to disconnect a bit and just let the music flow.

Hope this Review helps!

Thank you for such a thoughtful and beautifully written review! We’re really glad to hear that Headphone Zone X DDHiFi
Skyfall's smooth and relaxed tuning gave you such a comforting listening experience. Your comparison with other well-known sets and insights on long listening sessions will definitely help many fellow audiophiles looking for a more laid-back and immersive sound signature.

Keep the music playing

Warm, Fatgiue Free But lacks Clarity & Wide Soundstage

Currently I am in the burning process, initial testing. I can say that it's warm, it's fatigue-free, but the vocals feeling congested. The sound stage is narrow, but the bass is really good. Skyfall justifies the price with its offerings. I will update in 48hrs once full testing done. As I have been using Defiant previously so love the warm smooth tuning in Skyfall. I feel that I may go ahead for an exchange for Truthear Pure or Aful Explorer. Not sure will update soon.

Thank you for sharing this, Sourangshu. I love that the Headphone Zone x ddHiFi Skyfall is helping you rediscover your music. It is exactly why I do what I do.

More Balanced

I bought Skyfall 4.4mm to experience more balanced output. And I am totally satisfied with the sound stage, clarity and accuracy. If you have budget and want to experience 4.4mm go for it.

It is an honour to be a small part of your journey toward better sound.

The Skyfall delivers a cozy, fatigue-free listening experience. It pairs a warm, rich low-end with a sweet, smooth treble that completely eliminates harshness—making it a perfect choice for relaxed, long-term music sessions.

Extremely poor delivery experience. But on the contrary, this is a great product

When an order contains two packages, they deliver only one. When it’s a single package, they don't deliver it at all and just show a 'delayed' status. Buying products with this delivery service has been a terrible experience.

Regarding the performance of the IEM, it excels during extended listening sessions, offering a smooth, comfortable sound signature right out of the box.

Good bass and treble

The audio quality is commendable; however, the mid-range performance did not fully align with my expectations. I am currently adjusting the equalizer settings to optimize the sound profile to my preference.

Some of the best music I've heard out of an IEM

Some of the best music I've heard out of an IEM, and I've heard them all, I can't distinguish this from very high priced iems, this is a paradym shift and a welcome change as such products will extend this hobby (audiophilia) to a whole host of new people who are hitherto not exposed to such high quality products at such a great price. I think the HPZ team is doing a fantastic job in bringing such products to audiophiles in india.

It makes us so happy to know you are rediscovering your library with these.

Major disappointment - zero bass and flat audio

I bought these headphones hoping for a decent listening experience, but the audio quality is incredibly disappointing. The sound is completely flat, and there is absolutely no bass to speak of. Songs that should feel powerful and deep sound thin and tinny instead. If you care about sound depth or listen to anything with a beat, stay away from these.
