Moondrop - Blessing 3

Wanted to buy an endgame iem for myself for a long time. I have been using the truthear hexa for 1.5 years. So after countless reviews and reddit post reads, was confused between the B3 and Dusk.
2 reasons I took the B3 over the Dusk.
1. Dusk was not available in heaphonezone. I could have bought it from hangout by crin. But still the price difference between B3 and Dusk was substantial, especially during the sale.
2. I really liked the tuning on the hexa and most reviews and FR pointed to B3 being more closer to hexa than Dusk.

As for the product itself, it looks gorgeous. The faceplate gets scratched pretty easily, but I have decided to embrace the patina.

The sound : I thought it would be a decent upgrade but not crazy, especially because I was used to the truthear hexa which stands its ground even with 30k items. But oh man, was I wrong. The main difference is the resolution. The music sparkles. I am not good with audiophile terminology. I would say it's worth the price. It's even better for movie watching, even better than my sony MDR MV1.

Cons : The cable is pretty average. The chin slider is soo tight, everytime I adjust it, I am afraid the cable might brake. So will probably recommend changing the cable, preferably to a balanced cable. And the eartips could have been better.

I initially thought of staying within a budget of ₹2,500, but gradually I increased my budget and, finally, during their sale days with some great discounts, I found my perfect IEMs—Moondrop Blessing 3 (worth ₹40,000 with an amp). Being a singer, sound and music quality mean everything to me, and I realized that investing in the right pair was absolutely worth it.

The team there felt like one big family. When I booked my slot and visited, I was initially confused. But every single team member gave me their valuable time with complete dedication, helping me find the best-sounding IEMs for my needs. A big thanks to Karanji, Anurag ji, Sanjay ji, Upali ma’am, Manthan ji, and of course Raghav ji. Even though Raghav ji is the founder and main force behind Headphone Zone, his simplicity and humility are what make him truly great. He personally gave me wonderful suggestions, and that made the entire experience even more memorable.

Finally, I chose the Moondrop Blessing 3—and what a revelation they are! The sound is crisp and crystal-clear, the vocals are unbelievably pure, and the overall experience feels like true, unfiltered music. Every instrument in a song can be heard separately with remarkable detail and finesse. The Blessing 3 features a dual horizontal bass driver with the latest technology, which enriches the bass beautifully. Now, if you’re someone who loves heavy mids and treble, you shouldn’t expect very strong bass, but it’s definitely decent and well-balanced. For me, it was the perfect balance. If you want a live music experience in your ears—go with the Blessing 3.

While exploring, I also discovered the Orchestra Lite 2, which is also fantastic. But for my taste, the Blessing 3 stood out because of the bass technology and its stunning clarity.

Along with these IEMs, I ordered the FiiO BTR15 amp. Initially, I was planning to pair the Blessing 3 with the FiiO KA15, but after some research, I decided the BTR15 was a better option. It’s wireless, doesn’t drain my phone’s battery as much, and provides more than enough power for these high-performing IEMs. The reviews of the BTR15 are excellent, and once it’s in my hands, I’ll share my detailed experience of pairing it with the Blessing 3.

Moondrop - Blessing 3

TL;DR these are probably the endgame IEMs for me right now.

I consider my ER4SR as the reference for sound signature; very flat, airy mids and highs with really lean, tight and textured bass that digs deep but doesn't muddle the mids. My only complaint with the ER4SR is their abysmal comfort; it makes wearing them impossible beyond half hour at a stretch.

Well, the Blessing 3s are all that ER4SR are but with a great fit and comfort. The material feels great in the ear, the cable is very good and supplied hard pouch can fit the IEMs with my Fiio BTR5 too. It's easy to get a comfortable fit with the supplied tips.

As for the sound, the mids and treble are flat, airy and open, so good that my (non-discerning) wife could spot they're better than my Astell & Kern's Billie Jean. Also, my hearing is limited to 14KHz so my treble review may not be accurate.

The bass is flat, goes deep and wakes up only when required and doesn't muddle the mids. It's sub bass extension is very apparent on tracks like Krigsgaldr by Heilung at 1:50 and The Hidden Orchestra's East London Street - Drums only version. The only thing missing now is the chest thump :)

Overall very impressive for the price.

A few nitpicks for the otherwise excellent pair:

The bass - although it's flat and deep, is a little 'tubby' for my taste, for a lack of better term. I think this because of the Dynamic Driver doing bass duty rather than the tuning. I prefer the tight and fast response of BA for bass as well, YMMV.

The Left and Right markers on both the cable and earbuds are either missing or not legible. This makes initial fitting guesswork. At least add red-blue to the cable like Fiio does.

Overwhelmed by the level of details these gets into. Sounds extremely clear with ample bass to enjoy music. Yes little bright but does not sound at all sterile (found it quite musical, more than what I expected). May sound fatiguing to few after an hour or so but for short listening this iem is sonic bliss and has a true audiophile sound.
Bass in my opinion is near sufficient, however tad more would have been great.
Best part is vocal which is "crystal cleaaaar", quite forward and natural.
Instruments really play phenomenal and bring smile to my face everytime I listen to these (same smile I used to get 3 years back when I listened Sundara 😀)

Having tested various IEMs and headphones, Moondrop is one of my favorite brands and these IEMs themselves are amazing.

Receiving backlash due to poor bass range (when it’s within their capability to produce), I still prefer this IEM due to the higher treble range and more crisp and clear vocals than other IEMs (for reference, airpod pros have a better bass than this IEM, but that is the only area this IEM is lacking). With an equalizer you can produce still decent bass (spotify has a built-in function within their settings if you can’t afford an external one).

Pros:

•Great treble range
•Specifically crisp vocals where you can hear overlapping voices easily within properly mixed songs
•Decent outside audio blockage despite no noise cancellation

Cons:

•Flimsy Chord
•Zipper case is spacious and hard cover, but the zipper is poor quality and may break after ~50 uses
•The earbud nozzle tips are decent, but expect them to remain stuck in your ear after some usage, causing you to exchange them for new tips

Overall, this IEM is amazing, but the accessories are rather lacking.
