Straight away you can feel the difference in clarity and quality. Clear bass, vocals and instruments. Good for it if you're looking for a Type-C cable with good results.

First of all the wire quality is top notch for it's retailing price.
The 0.78mm pins are strong tad bit tight to plug Chu 2's but that just shows the product's amazing quality in play.
The FreeDSP is set to normal EQ out of the box (BTW the box which it comes in it aluminium round box which gives premium feel it), which can be customised with different per set EQ's and lot more custom EQ options which is available only in the Moondrop Link app version 2.0.
With the app's versatility, 0.78mm and type C terminal point it actually is a free to use according to users will they can mix and match any IEM with any EQ setting with any Type C supported devices.
The mic is also very good and the tactile buttons respond very quickly too.
Only drawback is the power output is not even close to usual 3.5mm or 4.4mm jacks(I'm able to listen to songs with max out volume with any problem which is not the same case when I use Dawn Pro). From my experience if more power output then more loudness and fulfilling sound will be audible.
In conclusion, it's a great buy as pretty much all the smart phones are now type C and it is compact and easy to carry while traveling rather than connecting to a DAC and then connect to phone and carry couple of things with a hand full.

I liked the dsp cable very much.. It has great built quality and overall perfect and solid , it can only be eq'd with moondrop link app on android and if you know your stuff there is proper 9 band eq though pregain bar is missing you can adjust everything else there and just compensate for pregain within bands while eq'ing.. Microphone is pretty good and once you have saved the eq you can plug out the cable from android and use it in any device incuding ios as eq config gets saved directly into the cable through online intractive dsp ~ Advanced Mode within the app.

I was looking for a replacement cable for my crinacle red since the stock cable had worn off. Even though i own a desk amp, i couldnt get most out of the iem when i used it while travelling, i did have a portable iem but it also stopped working.
Freedsp cable solves a hell lotta trouble of connecting multiple stuffs together to listen, it just works as intended. It has built in dac which is enough powerful, it has controls and mic, and the iem sounds much better than ever before. I havent tried out the dsp functions since i do not own an android, but the sound profile is already very impressive for me.
Highly suggest you to go with this over other 1000 bucks cables, if you do not have a portable dac. Well worth the money.

Not at all worth the price, connection issues within 2 months of using even taking good care. I claimed the warrenty but the new one is also same within 2 months again.. sometimes if the wire is moved the audio comes out, connection issues.

It gets disconnected so easily from my phone, I can't even walk down stairs without the cable shaking loose. So I started my return request the day I got it, and one week later it's still not picked up. Haven't gotten my money back, or anything. I hope you guys fix your process, this can't be an isolated incident. I've got the package all wrapped up, same stickers and certificates.

Enjoyed the audio with the new 2 pin cable.

First n foremost.. this works with truthear hexa n samsung s23 ultra, which has long been my wanting to use a wired mic earphone.
Music experience varies with the config file being loaded from moondrop app but each time earphone is plugged in, app requests permission to connect to earphones n we have to load the config file again even in case of phone restart. Mic quality is good.

U get whatever u pay for. Mic and usb type c adds covenience

My stock cable of Reds was quite worn, it would have worked well at least for a year more or so but I really wanted to get the best out of my Reds by trying and learning how to EQ to get the best sound quality from the IEMs. After spending 2 days, I decided to buy Moondrop Free DSP. Took a week to get used to the slightly bulky setup (using a usb converter too) but man! after several tries, forum readings, searching every corner of Github for a baseline EQ profile to start of with was a bit time consuming but I enjoyed every bit of it. Learnt a lot about nuances of audio and IEMs. So yes, after trials the DSP works great with my Reds. The EQ is almost perfect, optimum soundstage, crisp vocals and no bleeding of frequency bands overall. Absolutely worth it if you are willing to go through the basic grind. Actually, go for it!

I was convinced by the world balanced cable however I was wrong. I own 7Hz Timeless AE using it with FIIO KA5 4.4mm jack and sound quality got much worst.

It's a good-sounding wire with zero connectivity with the App.

Sounds really good out of the box and adds a lot of power and stability to the sound that reaches your IEMs. This is essential if you own a decent pair.

My IEMs sound way louder and far more tonally-balanced when I use FreeDSP. I haven't experimented with EQ just yet, as I'm more interested in getting a neutral sound out of my IEMs.

Its pins fit both my IEMs well, and they're no tighter than any other new set of cable pins.

IMPORTANT: If you intend to use this cable for its mic, note that certain devices have a bug where they will not let you use a USB headset during calls.
