Good ear tips with a caveat

These ear tips are unique in combining silicone's comfort with foam's sound-damping properties. I bought the M size which fits me well. It looks very cool with that orange colorway!

The most prominent feature of these ear tips is their ultra-wide bores. Their bores are, unlike Divinus velvet, wide from top to bottom. (In Divinus velvet, the bores are wide at the top but smaller at the bottom.) This design lends two distinct advantages to these ear tips. First, they can be fitted very easily on IEMs with large nozzles. Second, they do not interfere with the sound coming from the IEM.

But the large-bore design lends them a big disadvantage - they cannot be fitted on IEMs with small nozzles. For example, I tried these with the Pixel Buds which have small nozzles; they fit barely on the Buds and sounded well. But the moment I took the Buds off my ears, they came off the Buds. This is a huge caveat for these ear tips.

The sound impression is as I've said earlier. They stay true to the sound of the IEMs they are attached to. They create an intimate soundstage though. And they make the note weight somewhat lighter. This alteration of soundstage and note weight is slight but noticeable. The tonality and timber stay nearly the same. The sound at low volumes loses its roundness in many IEMs with these tips. Sound at high volume works fine.

I've tested these ear tips with Meze Alba, Dunu Titan S, Final Audio A5000, FiiO FD5, and Pixel Buds. (In Pixel Buds, it failed due to improper fit.)

Against Divinus Velvet: Velvet has a more impactful sound and thicker note weight. It makes sound very well-rounded and natural. Velvet makes sound truly holographic, which cannot be matched by any ear tips I've tested.

Against Dunu S&S: Dunu S&S also has a thicker note weight than Symbio W, but it does not sound as impactful as the Velvet. Dunu S&S has a superb imaging capability, even better than the Velvet.

Overall. I'd say that the strength of these ear tips is the weakness of these ear tips - the ultra-wide bore design. That's why, despite liking the sound, I gave them a four-star rating. Oh, another thing, they are quite pricey for what they deliver. That's a negative point, too. So I recommend them with caution.
