"For Budding Enthusiasts" is a badge we use for products that are perfect gateways into the audiophile world. They're easy to use, not overly expensive, and give you a real taste of what good sound can be — without needing a degree in audio engineering. 🎧

For Audiophiles at Home

I’ve always loved the ritual of coming home, settling into my favourite chair, and firing up a dedicated setup. Gear labelled For Audiophiles at Home is made for those moments — when you can really sit back and appreciate music in its purest form 🛋️. These products tend to be more powerful, larger, and often require wall power — perfect for a stationary rig.

Here’s the trade-off: these setups often involve external DACs, amps, or full-size headphones, which means more space, more power, but also more immersive listening. They shine when used in quiet environments, where detail, depth, and dynamics can truly be appreciated.

When you see '🏠 For Audiophiles at Home' products, expect: exceptional fidelity, stronger output, and the kind of soundstage that makes you never want to leave your listening chair.

Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth

I tend to describe Bluetooth audio as wireless freedom with fewer strings attached — literally. When you see Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth, it means you can pair your headphones or IEMs with phones, laptops, or even TVs — all without reaching for a cable 🎶. It’s convenient, clutter-free, and great for everyday listening.

What’s happening behind the scenes is your gear is using Bluetooth codecs like SBC, AAC, LDAC, or aptX to compress and transmit your music wirelessly. Better codecs mean higher quality and lower latency. Of course, there’s a trade-off — Bluetooth won’t match the quality of wired gear, but today’s advancements have made the gap much smaller than before.

When you see '✂️ Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth' products, expect: tangle-free convenience and solid sound quality — great for commuting, workouts, or casual listening.

Connect With Cable

In my experience, there’s still nothing like the dependability of a wired connection when it comes to audio 🎧. I love describing it as the direct flight of music — no delays, no turbulence. When a product says “Connect with Cable,” it means you’re getting the most reliable signal path, with zero wireless compression and minimal interference.

Here’s what’s actually happening: a physical cable transmits uncompressed analog or digital signals directly from your source to your gear. This results in lower latency, no signal drops, and consistently better sound — especially when paired with a good DAC or amp. It’s ideal for critical listening, gaming, and professional use. The trade-off? You’re tethered — but for a lot of audiophiles, that’s a small price to pay for sonic purity.

When you see '🔗 Connect With Cable' products, expect: pure, uninterrupted sound quality that lets your gear perform at its full potential — perfect for focused, high-fidelity listening.

Why it Sounds Amazing

DAC Chip

I like to say the DAC chip is the heart of any audio device — it’s the part that actually transforms digital files into music you can hear 🎧. Think of it like a chef decoding a recipe to create a delicious meal. The better the DAC chip, the more faithfully it translates your music. And in my experience, a great DAC can completely change how your headphones sound.

Now, here’s what’s actually happening: a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) takes digital signals (your MP3s, FLACs, or streams) and converts them into an analog waveform your ears can enjoy. Different DAC chips — like those from ESS, AKM, or Cirrus Logic — offer their own sound signatures, levels of clarity, and noise performance. A good DAC ensures accurate timing, minimal distortion, and exceptional resolution.

When you see '⚙️ DAC Chip' products, expect: clean, detailed audio and better synergy with high-quality headphones — perfect for anyone upgrading from average sound to audiophile quality.

Decodes Upto

When I see "Decodes up to" listed in product specs, I think of it like a music translator that speaks more languages than you’ll ever need. It tells you how far a DAC or audio device can go in handling hi-res formats—think PCM, DSD, or MQA—and at what resolution. 🧠🎶

Technically, this refers to the maximum bit depth and sample rate a DAC can process—like 32-bit/768kHz PCM or DSD512. The higher these numbers, the more detailed and lifelike the audio can potentially sound. But remember, real-world improvements depend on the recording quality and your headphones, not just specs alone.

Topping Introduces The All-New High-Performance And Hi-Res Certified DAC - The E70

Topping has been a leader in creating some of the cleanest and most distortion-free DACs iToppingarket. Popular models like the E30, E30 II, D50S, D30 Pro, and E50 have earneToppingong reputation in the audiophile community. Brilliant dac punching way above its price ✨

I got this dac some time back and wanted to use it for a good amount of time before commenting on it...
It took me only once or maybe twice to get used to all its functions and I'll have to say that it's an extremely user friendly piece. I've now used it quite extensively and it sounds very good. I have 3 other dacs, 2 of which are more expensive than this one but the E70 sounds almost at par with an 80k dac, quite unbelievable!
Quite a few dacs try hard to sound good and end up colouring the sound with their own signature, this lovely piece gets out of the way and just highlights the good and bad of the music and the rest of the audio chain.. it's smooth yet not dark sounding, it's open and extended at high frequencies yet not bright or sterile, the bass has a solid texture and punch and detail retrieval is stellar. It sounds very balanced and can swing with excellent macro and micro dynamics when needed. The signal auto sensor feature is also an added advantage.. the only drawback I found so far is that the pre-amp section in just about average, there is a dip in sound quality when connected directly to a power amp and using it as a dac/pre. The only other gripe is that the silver version looks better to my eyes but unfortunately is not available in India. Overall, the Topping E70 is a superb dac and has exceeded my expectations in almost every way!
I would also like to thank HpZ for their excellent service. The remote that came with the unit was not working properly but Raghav and team were extremely helpful and sent me a replacement remote. They even followed up to ensure that the unit and the replacement remote are working fine... very highly appreciated 👍

Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback, we're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!

The dac you buy before diminishing returns hits you like a freight train.

First of all, thank you Headphone zone for the super quick and safe delivery of my dream dac (for now).

Alright, now let's talk about it.
I personally bought the e70 to use it as a dac for my active studio monitors. I have to admit, I definitely was sceptical on whether such an expensive dac will be worth the money. And knowing what I know now, I can confidently say, YES.. ABSOLUTELY.

Positive aspects:
I noticed the E70 was precise, clear, and had a balanced sound. It was not overly bright or dark like some DACs can be. Additionally, the E70 is neutral to warm. In addition to being an accurate, fast, and technically competent DAC, the E70 conveys the sound signature of the equipment you pair it with.
To me, the E70 sounds dynamic, vivid, and exciting. For the first time I heard depth in my sound stage.
It is well built and feels extremely premium.

Negative aspects:
It is not the most user friendly dac and will need you to go through the manual to learn how it works. For instance, if you want to go into the settings menu, you'll have to switch off the device by turning the power switch at the back to "off", then press in the volume knob and finnally turn it back on. This was needlessly complicated to figure out, and the instructions in the manual weren't clear.

My only significant gripe with the dac is that the preamp function is a miss. For some reason I cannot get even get my speakers to play until I increase the volume on the dac to -69 db from -99 db and for my listening levels I needed to crank it up to -20 db (mind you my speakers were set to max gain which is less than ideal to begin with).
This forced me to use the dac in its "dac only" mode which would lock the output of the dac to max and then adjust my volume on my system digitally (again, less than ideal).

All that being said, I'd still buy the e70 again, if I could go back. The sound clarity and staging is worth it.

Once again, thank you Headphone zone.
