How do I verify if the pre-owned product being sold is original?
The seller is required to provide a copy of his invoice to be able to list his product. This should be enough proof for facilitating any warranty claims.
Besides, some products also come with serial numbers which should help verify the authenticity of the product.
What if I don't want all the items listed as available in a pre-owned product listing?
It's okay if you don't want to buy all the items that are listed.
Simply communicate the same to the seller, and he can probably work out a deal for you.
Otherwise, it is advised to buy the product with all the accessories as mentioned in the listing.
Can I use any old store credit I may have got from Headphone Zone against buying pre-owned headphones?
Yes, store credit is super-flexible. It can be used to buy anything on Headphone Zone, including pre-owned headphones.
Can I buy Pre-owned gear on EMI?
Sure! With the exception of Cash on Delivery, all other payments options (including EMI) can be used to buy your pre-owned gear.
If I want to buy more than one item from the same seller, can I get a discount?
It entirely depends on the seller. While negotiations are not allowed, however since it's our job to convey any kind of buyer communication to the seller, we shall do that and leave the rest to the seller.
What is a pre-owned product?
A pre-owned product is one that is sold by the owner after he has used it for sometime. It is more like a second-hand product.
A good number of audiophiles tell us that they have audio gear that they seldom use anymore (These also happen to be in a great condition). However, before upgrading to new (and often expensive) audio gear, they often wonder what to do with their old gear. Upgrading means more investment in the new gear. It also requires some space in a place already crammed with old gear.
Thus, we began our Trade-Up program where people can list their gear for sale. Once the buyer purchases it, the seller is given store credit which he/she can use to upgrade to his/her next headphone.
At the Time of Purchase
Can I talk to the person before purchasing from him?
Headphone Zone reserves the right of mediating all conversations between the interested buyer and the seller of the pre-owned product.
For all questions you may have, you can write us an email and we’ll get all the necessary answers in order for you to go ahead with the purchase.
Can I negotiate the price?
Prices are fixed and negotiations are not be allowed.
The price is set as per the seller’s instructions and shall change only on his instructions.
Although, if you might want to buy multiple items from the same seller, a revision in quote can be requested.
Who gets the money?
While making the purchase, the amount goes to Headphone Zone first. Once the buyer confirms if the product matches the description and that there aren’t any unknown issues that might be discovered, store credit for sale amount is provided to the seller.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Ooopsi! Cash on Delivery is not available. :(
Will the invoice be in my name?
No, for the invoice to be in your name, we will have to alter it which is impossible. You can still claim warranty with the original invoice as long as it has a date reference as proof of warranty.
What if I've changed my mind and don't want to go ahead with purchase?
Headphone Zone vouches for its trusted customers and last minute cancellations cause a lot of problems, especially for the seller. Once the product has been dispatched from the seller, we'd have to ask to you go ahead with the purchase.
Post-Purchase
How will I know that my order for pre-owned gear has been dispatched?
Once the product is picked up from the seller, a tracking ID will be sent in a shipping confirmation email that will allow you to track your order.
Please Note: You CANNOT cancel a pre-owned order once the product has been dispatched from the seller's end.
What if I don't get all the items as listed in the used product listing?
Don't worry, its probably a mistake. Just get in touch with us if you don't get all the items as listed.
We will immediately contact the customer and ask him to send the remaining items to you as soon as possible.
What if the product does not match the pictures?
According to our policy, every buyer gets 2 days to decide whether the pre-owned product matches up to the description provided by the seller.
If the product doesn't look like the one in the pictures, you can take pictures of the product and send it to us so that we can cross-check it.
In this case, we will arrange for a pickup of the product and send it back to the seller and the transaction will end there.
What if the headphones are not in working condition?
In such an unfortunate scenario we will pick-up the product from you, inspect it ourselves and provide a resolution on the matter. Such a situation is mostly unlikely as we specifically mention at the time of listing that only a product in fully functional condition can be listed.
What if I don’t like the gear after purchase?
Our 7 Day Test Drive, Return and Exchange policy does not apply to the sale of pre-owned products. A buyer is allowed to ask as many questions to the seller and can take his time to be very sure of the product.
If there is a defect, then we shall intervene and have the matter sorted out for you.
