It also indicates that the products are readily available at our warehouse and once we receive your order, we dispatch it out at the earliest either on the same day or the next working day depending on when you’ve placed your order.

What it does not mean:

A lot of our customers assume that it means their order will get delivered to them within 24/48 hours, but that’s not what it means. For an order to reach you, it can take anywhere up to 3-4 business days, depending on which part of India you are placing an order from.

"For Budding Enthusiasts" is a badge we use for products that are perfect gateways into the audiophile world. They're easy to use, not overly expensive, and give you a real taste of what good sound can be — without needing a degree in audio engineering. 🎧

These are the IEMs, headphones, and DACs that let you dip your toes into premium sound without drowning in choices. They balance performance, price, and practicality beautifully. Whether you're buying your first serious pair or helping someone else start their journey, these picks deliver satisfaction straight out of the box.

When you see '🪴 For Budding Enthusiasts' products, expect simple setups, solid sound quality, and an easy upgrade path — perfect for your first foray into better audio.

For Audiophiles On-the-Go

In my experience, finding great audio gear that performs well on the move is like discovering a powerful sports car that’s also fuel efficient. Products marked For Audiophiles On-the-Go are designed to deliver remarkable sound quality without weighing you down. Whether you’re commuting, working remotely, or just travelling light, these products offer the perfect balance of portability and performance 🚶‍♂️.

What makes them special? They’re often compact, lightweight, and built with battery-efficient components that don’t compromise on sonic detail. From portable DAC/Amps to foldable headphones and wireless IEMs, this category is for those who demand great sound anytime, anywhere — no bulky setups or power bricks required.

When you see '🛺 For Audiophiles On-the-Go' products, expect: pocket-friendly size, reliable battery life, and premium sound wherever life takes you — ideal for travel, work, or daily use.

Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth

I tend to describe Bluetooth audio as wireless freedom with fewer strings attached — literally. When you see Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth, it means you can pair your headphones or IEMs with phones, laptops, or even TVs — all without reaching for a cable 🎶. It’s convenient, clutter-free, and great for everyday listening.

What’s happening behind the scenes is your gear is using Bluetooth codecs like SBC, AAC, LDAC, or aptX to compress and transmit your music wirelessly. Better codecs mean higher quality and lower latency. Of course, there’s a trade-off — Bluetooth won’t match the quality of wired gear, but today’s advancements have made the gap much smaller than before.

When you see '✂️ Use Wirelessly with Bluetooth' products, expect: tangle-free convenience and solid sound quality — great for commuting, workouts, or casual listening.

Battery Life

In my experience, battery life is one of those things that separates a good day from a frustrating one. It's like having a fuel gauge you can rely on — longer battery life means less charging and more uninterrupted music. Whether you're on a flight or just commuting across town, this is one spec you don’t want to overlook 🔋.

Technically, battery life refers to the hours your device can play music on a single charge. Today’s headphones and DACs can range from 4 to 40+ hours, depending on things like Bluetooth codec, volume, and active features like ANC. More battery life also means better travel and portability, though it might come at the cost of size or weight.

When you see '⏳ Battery Life' products, expect: longer listening sessions, fewer charging breaks, and stress-free portability for music that goes the distance.

Why it Sounds Amazing

DAC Chip

I like to say the DAC chip is the heart of any audio device — it’s the part that actually transforms digital files into music you can hear 🎧. Think of it like a chef decoding a recipe to create a delicious meal. The better the DAC chip, the more faithfully it translates your music. And in my experience, a great DAC can completely change how your headphones sound.

Now, here’s what’s actually happening: a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) takes digital signals (your MP3s, FLACs, or streams) and converts them into an analog waveform your ears can enjoy. Different DAC chips — like those from ESS, AKM, or Cirrus Logic — offer their own sound signatures, levels of clarity, and noise performance. A good DAC ensures accurate timing, minimal distortion, and exceptional resolution.

When you see '⚙️ DAC Chip' products, expect: clean, detailed audio and better synergy with high-quality headphones — perfect for anyone upgrading from average sound to audiophile quality.

Power Output

I like to think of power output in audio gear like engine horsepower, it determines how much muscle your setup really has 💪. Whether you’re trying to drive a pair of power-hungry planar headphones or just want headroom for dynamic peaks, power output is the spec you want to check first.

Technically, it refers to the amount of electrical power (measured in mW or Watts) an amp or DAC/Amp combo can deliver to your headphones. More power means better control, improved dynamics, and the ability to handle demanding gear without distortion. But more isn’t always better, too much power with sensitive IEMs can introduce hiss or harshness.

When you see '🚀 Power Output' products, expect: strong driving capability, better dynamics, and optimal performance with headphones that need serious juice to shine.

Balanced Output

I often say balanced output is like using both hands to carry something heavy — it distributes power evenly and keeps things stable. In audio gear, balanced output helps reduce unwanted noise and interference, especially over longer cables. Think of it as a cleaner, more efficient way to transmit your music, ideal for anyone using high-end DACs, amps, or studio-grade headphones 🎧. You’ll typically find it on gear with XLR or 4.4mm connectors, and it's a must-have if you’re chasing that ultra-clean signal path.

Here’s what’s actually happening: a balanced output uses two separate signals, one inverted, so when interference is picked up along the cable, it gets cancelled out when the signals are recombined. The result? Cleaner audio, better dynamic range, and more power output — especially when paired with balanced headphones. The trade-off? You’ll need gear that supports balanced connections on both ends to really enjoy the benefits.

When you see '⚖️ Balanced Output' products, expect: ultra-low noise, more headroom, and better synergy with high-impedance headphones or sensitive IEMs — ideal for serious listening setups.

Decodes Upto

When I see "Decodes up to" listed in product specs, I think of it like a music translator that speaks more languages than you’ll ever need. It tells you how far a DAC or audio device can go in handling hi-res formats—think PCM, DSD, or MQA—and at what resolution. 🧠🎶

Technically, this refers to the maximum bit depth and sample rate a DAC can process—like 32-bit/768kHz PCM or DSD512. The higher these numbers, the more detailed and lifelike the audio can potentially sound. But remember, real-world improvements depend on the recording quality and your headphones, not just specs alone.

  • Balanced Output

  • Battery Life

  • DAC Chip

  • Power Output

A brilliant portable allrounder

My old BTR5 started having battery issues, which meant I could not use it for travelling as the battery would drain within an hour. Hence, I bought the BTR17 as a replacement. This DAC/AMP does everything the BTR5 did but better and MORE.

BTR17 is all about more power and with that Fiio has done a stellar job of power management and options for power management. The sound quality is VERY good as well. The build quality is top notch and I love the volume wheel.

Finally, I want to give a shoutout to the Headphone Zone support team. I bought the wrong colour BTR17 a couple of days before my travel. I contacted the support team and asked them if they could ship the colour I wanted, and if I the shipment would reach before I left for my holiday. To my surprise not only did they change the unit in my order but also ensured that my package would be delivered to me before I left. companies do not usually help customers in these tight scenarios where the customer is at fault, but these guys did and that is what customer support is all about. I am genuinely happy that India finally has a dedicated place to buy audiophile equipment and to top it off they have an amazing team.

Great job guys, keep it up.

BTR 17

As I was spectacle to buy because of its price point. But after installation of fifo control app with equaliser settings listening I felt satisfied with its audio crispness and power its Genarates. Audiophiles passion will make keep listening continuously. Only thing is it won’t play ldac codec from iPhone but AAC sound is also great through this. Still exploring.

Glad to hear it’s exceeded your expectations! Happy you’re enjoying the crisp, powerful sound even with AAC. Keep the music playing!

Awesome wireless DAC

I was looking for a wireless solution. Satisfied with the DAC!
The DAC really shines when played with LDAC 96k using "Alternative A2DP Driver" on Windows.

The device needs some improvements:
- The microphone works only in Bluetooth mode, not in USB mode.
- The provided cover needs to secure the top side. The device easily slides up when USB cable is pushed from the bottom.

Since the device is small, the Bluetooth range of the transmitting device matters. With the Galaxy M36 phone, I am achieving a line-of-sight range of more than 11 meters on LDAC 96k protocol. For the computer, added a 12dBi external RP-SMA antenna with extension cable because the default motherboard antenna is only 3dBi.

Thanks for the detailed and insightful review! Great to hear you’re satisfied with the DAC and making the most of it with LDAC and some clever tweaks. Totally valid points on the mic and the case, that kind of feedback really helps. Love how you're optimizing the setup for range and performance. Enjoy the wireless freedom and stellar sound!

Good DAC

With Bluetooth its very good until I paired it directly to my phone through the C type connector and now I was in a studio with a blessing to my ears.
Amazing experience it is!
But I tried it with i15 and I am going to use it with i12 which has lightning port and not the C type So I request team Headphone zone to get to arrange a lightning to type C connector to attach it with BTR17 So that I can get actual HiRes audio. With Bluetooth AAC of apple it is an average device.
So, team headphone zone please help in this regard.
Thanks

Best in bluetooth segment

I am a bass guitarist and a audiophile ,after continuously listening to it in kinera urd, westone x30 & camfire audio supermoons! Very flat response which is good! The only thing i felt lacking was few samples not being clear which is subjective! The best part was drums panning and delays heard with perfect accuracy ! Very indulging experience in the amp! Its almost like bigger dacs experience in a small power packed device!

We appreciate your thoughtful review so much! It’s a pleasure to know you’re enjoying the product—thank you for your support!
