Bad quality, feels like a knockoff

The faux leather used on the outside feels to be of poor quality. The leather part had one minor visible damage on the receipt but started peeling immediately after installation. I am comparing it against the original part that came with the headphone, which is much more robust.

We are extremely sorry for the disappointing experience you had to go through, Varun Bhargavan! We will surely share this review with the brand as well.

Decent Pair of Earpads but really bad packaging

Why Hifiman is packaging their so called premium replacement earpads in such subs-substandard packaging? The earpads came in polythene packaging. Literally pathetic experience after paying 4999/-. At least the Dekoni earpads provide a box with their packaging. This is pathetic from Hifiman. Definitely not justified for the price tag of 5K.

Poor quality earpads. Not worth 5000

Will deteriorate quickly and get worn out after 6 months of daily use. The pleather on the sides start to peel out. These pads get very warm easily. Not worth at all. I replaced my Sundara earpads with Brainwavz sheepskin XL round earpads which cost 2500 instead of these uncomfortable palipads. You'll need to tear apart the palipads from the earpad mouting rings of the Sundara to fit the new Brainwavz earpads. I found the bass extends better with the Brainwavz pad. Now the comfort is much better and also the sound is improved with the bass getting more room to flow. Dynamics and slam of the bass has noticeably improved.
