They are mainly known for their wide range of portable audio gears, including IEMs, USB DAC/AMPs, DAPs, etc. The DC04 was a "great" portable Balanced USB DAC & Amp that took the industry by storm, but the only caveat was that it only had a Balanced 4.4mm output. iBasso, with their all-new DC04PRO, has addressed that and has included a 3.5mm Single-Ended in addition to the 4.4mm Balanced output. The iBasso DC04PRO utilises dual RT6863 chips, creating a 4-way fully balanced amp featuring ultra-low distortion. With an output current of up to 100mA and working at a 10V voltage swing, the DC04PRO output reaches 280mW@32 Ohms. A team of engineers at iBasso wanted to make the DC04PRO unique in every aspect. For this reason, the DC04PRO houses an in-house developed FPGA algorithm. This FPGA tech has never been used in a dongle DAC before. Together with the KDS femtosecond oscillator, the jitter is well-controlled. This design aspect makes the sound reproduction more distortion-free and enhances the audio quality. With the well-designed analogue circuit, the DC04PRO renders your audio full-bodied with emotional impact. You can say goodbye to the thin and cold digital sound of smartphones!
LOWER POWER CONSUMPTION WITH NANOVOLT LEVEL NOISE FLOOR
The iBasso DC04PRO consumes less power and provides a power-saving mode option. When using normal mode balanced output, the power consumption is 650mW; the single-ended output will turn off the unused half of the AMP, lowering the power consumption to only 550mW. When the power saving mode is on, it turns off and bypasses the AMP section, with output directly from the DAC's internal AMP. In this mode, the power consumption is as low as 410mW. Compared with the power consumption of similar dongles, which can be as high as 700 to 800mW, the power consumption and heat generation of DC04PRO are lower, enhancing long-term listening. The quality of the power supply directly affects the sound quality in no small way. The iBasso DC04PRO utilises a synchronous DC-DC converter and low-noise, high-speed LDO, ensuring sufficient high-purity power for the dongle, bringing a dynamic and powerful sound to your music. It also has an unprecedented power supply for a Dongle DAC & Amp and factors out less power from your source or master device.
WIDE COMPATIBILITY WITH SOURCES AND SUPPORT FOR COMPANION APP
The iBasso DC04PRO adopts a type-C interface with a standard sound card chip compatible with most Android phones and tablets. It is also compatible with Mac/Windows computers through the C-A adapter, realising external decoding. It also has an interchangeable cable design for adaptation and easy plug-and-play functionality. The iBasso DC04PRO supports the latest version of the UAC application with advanced features. It has five optional digital filters, three gain levels, 100-level volume adjustment(using hardware keys), two options for output mode, a power saver (On/Off), and 20 steps L/R balancer. The DC04PRO has a detachable cable design and comes standard with a USB-C to USB-C cable compatible with most Android devices. It also comes with a USB-A adapter for connecting to PCs. The iBasso DC04PRO is also compatible with iOS devices with a USB-C to lightning cable (separately purchased). You will feel completely immersed in whatever you're doing, whether watching a movie, playing a video game, or listening to music—the unlimited entertainment provided by outstanding sound will only enhance your experience!

The noticeable change is that the DC04 has attached cable while the DC04PRO has detachable cable. Both these units use the same DAC chip configuration but they differ in power output capabilities. The DC04 only offered Balanced 4.4mm output however the DC04PRO offers 3.5mm Single-Ended as well as 4.4mm Balanced headphone outputs. The DC04PRO also has more power as compared to the DC04. Once properly installed, the DC04PRO can be used as a USB sound card. iPhone's volume control is only 16 steps. DC04PRO can achieve 100 steps of adjustment with the volume button. Therefore, using the DCO4PRO with an iPhone, will achieve finer volume adjustments.

The iBasso DC04PRO utilises dual RT6863 chips, creating a 4-way fully balanced amp featuring ultra-low distortion. With an output current of up to 100mA and working at a 10V voltage swing, the DC04PRO output reaches 280mW@32 Ohms. A team of engineers at iBasso wanted to make the DC04PRO unique in every aspect. For this reason, the DC04PRO houses an in-house developed FPGA algorithm. This FPGA tech has never been used in a dongle DAC before. Together with the KDS femtosecond oscillator, the jitter is well-controlled. This design aspect makes the sound reproduction more distortion-free and enhances the audio quality. LOWER POWER CONSUMPTION WITH NANOVOLT LEVEL NOISE FLOOR
The iBasso DC04PRO consumes less power and provides a power-saving mode option. When using normal mode balanced output, the power consumption is 650mW; the single-ended output will turn off the unused half of the AMP, lowering the power consumption to only 550mW. When the power saving mode is on, it turns off and bypasses the AMP section, with output directly from the DAC's internal AMP. In this mode, the power consumption is as low as 410mW. Compared with the power consumption of similar dongles, which can be as high as 700 to 800mW, the power consumption and heat generation of DC04PRO are lower, enhancing long-term listening. The quality of the power supply directly affects the sound quality in no small way. The iBasso DC04PRO utilises a synchronous DC-DC converter and low-noise, high-speed LDO, ensuring sufficient high-purity power for the dongle, bringing a dynamic and powerful sound to your music. It also has an unprecedented power supply for a Dongle DAC & Amp and factors out less power from your source or master device.
WIDE COMPATIBILITY WITH SOURCES AND SUPPORT FOR COMPANION APP
The iBasso DC04PRO adopts a type-C interface with a standard sound card chip compatible with most Android phones and tablets. It is also compatible with Mac/Windows computers through the C-A adapter, realising external decoding. It also has an interchangeable cable design for adaptation and easy plug-and-play functionality. The iBasso DC04PRO supports the latest version of the UAC application with advanced features. It has five optional digital filters, three gain levels, 100-level volume adjustment(using hardware keys), two options for output mode, a power saver (On/Off), and 20 steps L/R balancer. The DC04PRO has a detachable cable design and comes standard with a USB-C to USB-C cable compatible with most Android devices. It also comes with a USB-A adapter for connecting to PCs.
