Meze - 99 Series OFC 4.4mm Balanced Cable

Nicely pairs with ifi Zen DAC and Hifiman Sundara. Better clarity, better bass response and a slight improvement in overall soundstage. I can see quite a bit of a jump in volume through the balanced output, so much so that 9:00 O’clock on the volume dial is enough now compared to 2:00 O’clock earlier with the stock cables. The only gripe I have is the Cables look and feel a bit thin and gives an impression that it may not last that long owing to that. I hope I am wrong though!! As usual, Headphone Zone did a splendid job!

Noticable improvement with this cable ony Hifiman Sundra . Sund has improved and punchy.

Have been using it with Ananda SE, and when compared with single ended 3.5, the sound has become cleaner, clearer and slightly wider. I’ve paired the headphone with FiiO K7, which is a fully balanced DAC/AMP sounds great with 4.4 balanced output. Once accustomed to this sound profile, it feels less crisp and congested when I go back to the single ended cable. All in all, worthy investment. The cable itself is quite nice, pliable and devoid of any microphonics. Though I’d have preferred a braided cable, I’m just fine for the cost and quality.

I got this for the Clears.
My tone deaf ears couldn't make out any difference from the janky OEM cable of Clear.
Happy for the fact that this cable is pliable, soft and light weight.

Very impressive cable. It gives 99 Classic little bits more warmer details than 3.5 mm original unbalanced maze cable. Particularly vocals with this cable sound exceptionally realistic.

I bought meze 99 classics. I am not an audiophile by any means, but I still thought the headphones were lacking somewhere (even after burn in). Saw some YouTube reviews and most recommended to get the 4.4 balance upgrade. I listened and bought the cable along with a DAC with 4.4 balanced output. I can't say how much better they sound now, it's definitely an upgrade.

I was a bit skeptical before investing, can a cable make a noticeable difference? Took a leap of faith and went for it.

Upon usage, I was able to feel the different almost immediately. The same track, using same music app, phone, DAC and headphone was sounding different and better.

Conclusion: I feel that with a Cable upgrade, I have not just maxed my headphone performance, I am also leveraging 100% of my DAC's capabilities. So the investment is definitely worth it.

Makes 99 classics which is already a great headphone even better. Removes need of eq.

In my review of the Meze 99 Classics, I had said that the only way I could describe the sound was "fun". It's an amazing pair of headphones and the "fun" factor is taken to the next level with the 4.4 mm balanced cable. There seems to be more clarity to the music and I am able to visualise more clearly where musicians are positioned while performing. I feel the bass is tighter and the soundstage seems wider. It could just be how I am perceiving the sound just because I upgraded the cable but the bottom line is that it's just made me fall in love with the 99 Classics all over again.

I am using the Fiio KA3 DAC-AMP along with a Samsung Galaxy S10 (music only device) to listen to the 99 Classics.

The cable is suitable for my focal and hifiman.my openion this product is overpriced may be for the meze brand

A hands down upgrade if you wanna try balanced experience.

It's good. Truth is that I couldn't get chance to hear it properly due to my busy schedule. But very soon I will try throughly and will let you know again.

Love how it sounds how it fits. Only issue is my wife stole it from me so I had to order another one.
