Ideal for Audiophiles

These headphones are designed for discerning music lovers. If you are someone who cares about audio quality "deeply," you'll want a pair of headphones like these.

You can expect them to present a refined listening experience. The audio quality exhibited by these headphones is a beautiful mix of musicality, technical brilliance and high precision.

These headphones deliver a spacious and open soundstage with utmost clarity and detail. Delve into pure sonic bliss with these headphones!

Ideal for
Indoor Use

Planar Magnetic Drivers

Planar magnetic drivers combine characteristics of several driver types. They employ magnetic fields akin to dynamic and balanced armature drivers. However, planar magnetic drivers, like electrostatic drivers, use a flat, thin diaphragm in contrast to a coil. The planar drivers are known for their quick transient response.

Open-Back Design

Headphones with an open-back design, allow air to pass through the earcups. This means that Open-Backs do not block any noise from around you, as closed-backs do, and music being heard will also leak outside to people around you. So they can only be heard in a quiet environment.

However, Open-back headphones do sound more natural and open. Open-back headphones create a feeling of space, presenting audio as if you are sitting at a live concert. Audiophiles swear by open-back headphones, and they sound quite different to closed-backs.

These headphones are perfect for critical listening sessions, mixing and mastering music. They have an accurate soundstage presentation and precise imaging.

Replaceable Cables

A pair of headphones with a replaceable cable has many benefits, and one of them is if the connecting cable has a problem, it doesn’t mean that you have to buy a new one. If the connecting cable gets pulled or damaged, you can replace it and keep using your good-old headphones or IEMs. This way, your headphones will be protected and will last longer. With the advancements in cable manufacturing, you now get a variety of replacement cables with various termination options, lengths and quality.

Needs Amplification

Headphones and IEMs require a certain level of power to sound their best and work at their full potential. When your headphones or IEMs are underpowered, they can sound thin or muffled.

Amplifiers are required to provide adequate power to your headphone or IEMs to perform at their best. Simply put, amplifiers allow a weak audio signal to be boosted to a powerful one.

To put it into perspective, devices such as your phones and laptops come with an amplifier, but they offer very limited output power. This output may not be sufficient to power headphones and IEMs to shine at their best. This is where a dedicated amplifier is required to deliver adequate power to hear your music in all its glory.

PLANAR MAGNETIC DRIVERS ELEVATED WITH NEO DIAPHRAGM AND STEALTH MAGNETS

HiFIMAN has achieved mastery in designing and developing full-sized planar magnetic headphones over the years. The latest Deva Pro uses a newly developed planar magnetic driver with an ultra-thin diaphragm coil known as Neo super-nano diaphragm. The new Neo Super-Nano Diaphragm (NSD) is 80% thinner than previous designs, resulting in fast response and detailed image with lush, full-range sonics. This new driver works in conjunction with invisible Stealth Magnets, which enables the sound waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. HiFiMAN’s advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion yields pure sonic output that is accurate and full-range.

EXPERTLY ENGINEERED IN EVERY ASPECT TO PRESENT A WIDE FREQUENCY RESPONSE

HiFiMAN developed the stealth magnet design for their flagship headphone, the Susvara, and has featured the same technology with the upgraded Deva Pro. For this, HiFiMAN has optimised the air turbulence and reflection of the sound waves inside the driver cavity. This design makes the magnet invisible in front of the sound waves and results in refined audio performance. The new acoustic architecture also offers a frequency response from 20Hz-20,000kHz, presenting a high-fidelity listening experience.

REDESIGNED WITH A MODERN LOOK AND 3.5MM SOCKETS TO OFFER COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE

HiFiMAN has re-designed the Deva Pro to showcase a modern look while retaining the classic Deva aesthetic. The main difference is that the Deva Pro sports a silver and black look, compared to silver and brown, the rest is identical to the Deva. This design with new colours feels modern without coming across as flashy. The drop-like shape of the ear cups is quite good-looking, and it is different from most other headphones on the market. The new headband is lightweight and ergonomically structured to offer maximum comfort for hours of listening pleasure. The exterior is refined, and the interior features high-grade memory foam for the most comfortable fit and elasticity. The headphone’s structural design supports overall durability that retains its comfortable fit for years of enjoyment. The Deva Pro also features new 3.5mm sockets for connectivity which are similar to those found on most common audio devices. The included 3.5mm cable is user changeable and replaceable. The socket can accommodate both dual-sided unbalanced 3.5mm cable and a single-sided 3.5mm balanced cable (left socket).

Awesome sound in a budget.

Short Story:
+ Amazing aesthetic design
+ Awesome Sound
+ Large Earcups with extra cushioning
+ Tight Bass (but needs eq-ing to get the bass going)
- Bass needs an EQ boost
- clamping force too low.

Long Story:
I got the deva pros for 17k and for the price they sound amazing. It is the 1st time I tried a pair of planner magnetic drivers and I am blown away. These are my 3rd open back headphones and by far the openness of the sound stage and the musical reproduction is great. The bass is kind of flat (specially for bass heads, me included) but with a little eq they are on spot the bass is tight and doesn't overpower the mids or highs, neither is it muddy. The mids have a slight emphasis. Vocals sound crisp, clear and intimate while staying smooth. Highs though not boosted sound amazing with just the right amount of brilliance. They ain't harsh or fatiguing at all even during long periods of usage. Coming to long listening sessions is my only gripe the wearing comfort could be better. Don't get me wrong they are not uncomfortable however the clamping force is lacking to the point even slight sudden head movements could knock the headphones off. However at the price point its a tradeoff I would happily make.

Two Headphones Packed into One

This is one of the most unique offerings in entry-level audiophile headphones. You get a very sonically competent wired headphone. You get the best wireless headphones (sonically) under INR 30000 till you reach Audezee Maxwell. And the absolute bounty is that R2R dongle can be used as a DAC/AMP in a wired USB-C setup. If the R2R dongle is bundled then this is a very good value proposition. It can work as a passive wired headphone, a wireless headphone, and an active wired headphone too.

One small gripe is that it is a bit big in size. Do not buy it if you have a smaller-than-normal head size. Please also note that you cannot take them out like closed-back wireless headphones.

Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!

Musical, Beautiful and Natural

Coming from Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 ohm Closed back headphone which was paired to meridian explorer DA for more than 6 years, i was eager to upgrade or say have something different headphones for Listening. So a planar open back headphones came into the choice and to my budget Hifiman Deva Pro seemed a perfect Fit.

Coming to headphones, Lovely one which sits great on my head with kind of tightness which i do like. The Pleather pads feels cool and lush though. Though the Burn in of Headphone phenomenon is true or not, anyways i gave an 30+ hours of burn before i dwell much into sound and more listening.
IMO the headphone sounded beautiful, Rich and Full across the frequency range. Bass is good and punchy enough to feel the rumbling of Waves in Hans Zimmer's Interstellar OST, though never went boomy or muddled. it may not be a headphones for bass heads but for those like to feel the bass and the deep textures of it. The mids are lush , well detailed and richer with a bit forward low mid which made them seemed a bit forwardly placed Male Vocals in same time female vocals felt more beautifully presented than the male vocals. The highs does have all the beauty of a great headphones with well detailed , very clear highs without any hint of sibiliance or harshness which would have made them un-listenable for my personal taste. The Level of detail the projects is great though never felt that they wanna be them be too analytical. The coherence of the sound it projects with a good wide open soundstage makes them a great pair of cans enough to listen for hours. After all Music Matters . Now i see why so many are preferring open backs over closed ones , of which the latter feels like a bit claustrophobic and may be even boxy sometimes when compared.

The headphone does seem great for almost all genres, esp for Western Classical's, Blues, Chorals, Jazz music, its beautiful presentation gives a real natural live feel to music making them sounds more musical. Soundtracks are rendered more cinematic and ambient by these open backs. Final word would be beautiful Musical and Natural.

Deva pro

As an owner of he400se/he 400i pre 2020 l, the deva pro has good relaxing sound.. no harshness the detail retrieval is good. Excellent soundstage and separation. I tested this with chord mojo and r2r blue mini so full points on that.
The thing I found lacking is more one the way bluemini r2r dac is treated(i understand it's freebie) but even if it's freebie it's not packed with any manual/warranty card and i didn't get the usb cable for charging it. Even 500rs bluetooth earphones comes with charging cable, if there is no charging cable included with 16000 rs headphones freebie or not you will feel letdown.
Kudos to the product but disappointed due to this fiasco. I wish headphonezone/hifiman intervenes and handles these freebies maturely.

We really appreciate the genuine feedback, we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well!
