RHA - TrueConnect 2

I was looking for a pair of TWS in order to use it for attending calls, watching movies and a little bit of music. This is my first Truly Wireless Earbuds and these are my initial impression of these earbuds.

Before I begin, I’d like to say that in certain website reviews they mentioned a hiss sound when no music is playing, but I didn’t notice any such sound coming through these earbuds.

Build Quality: It looks premium and well built.

Comfort: You won’t even feel that you’re wearing these earbuds. It’s super comfy and light. Use the correct size earbuds, to get complete isolation.

Call Quality: I was earlier using RHA MA750i for calls, it was picking up a lot of background noise. But these are comparatively better at reducing background noise, but not as clear as those pairs. Some background noise still goes through. Also, while in call the person on the other end heard air noise (exhaling sound) for a second when the person speaking on these earbuds pauses (might be due to my device). Will test it further and try to update my review, since I picked these earbuds mainly for attending meetings. Deducting one star due to this.

Battery: 9 Hours on earbuds and additional 35 hours on case. 10 min quick charge gives around one hour use on earbuds. No complaints. It will easily last me for a couple of days based on usage.

Connectivity: No connection dropouts, I placed my phone in one room and walked all around the house, the connection didn’t drop even once. On older phone with Bluetooth 4 or below, the range will be lower so it might cause dropouts if you go a lot further. Make sure your device supports Bluetooth 5 or later, to make full use of 15 m. SBC & AAC is supported (Google on how to enable AAC from settings for android devices).

Audio: Similar audio signature to RHA MA750i, but not as rich as them. Bass is there, but not too punchy (I don’t mind it as I’m not a bass head). The vocals are clear and it does a good job at instrument separation. These may differ from person to person, based on their taste in music.

Warranty: No other brands provide 3 years warranty. All TWS contains batteries which may degrade with time, so it’s best to go for earbuds with longer warranties. Avoid 1 year warranty products as problems might start later and you’ll be out of warranty by then. I’ve used RHA before, and the RMA process is great, they directly provide you replacement in case of genuine issues.

I’m extremely happy with the comfort, quality & overall experience of these earbuds.

I was a proud owner of RHA MA 650 and was super happy with it. Sadly their time was over, pretty bummed about it.
So I was researching on what to buy next and then I bought Jabra Elite 75t Active. Those earbuds were awful . Uncomfortable AF.
I am big on acoustic sounds and vocals. The bass so heavy/muddy that even after tweaking the EQ settings I was unhappy and returned it.

So I ordered RHA Trueconnect 2 . Initially I was worried about the connection problems as there are lot of threads on the connection problems with the previous model.
I am happy to announce that there is no problem as the connection is rock solid. Earbuds are light and comfy . On a stretch I have listened to movie/music for 7 hours and no ear fatigue

Trueconnect 2 only has AAC but no Aptx so was little disappointed with it and that is the only gripe I have.

My favourite genres are Alternative Rock and Heavy metal .Vocal clarity is top notch and instrument separation is evident.
Bass is there but not overpowering other elements.

So I am a really happy owner.
And I have become a RHA fanboy.

Definitely an improvement from the already impressive RHA Trueconnect. Amazing build quality and very subtle in appearance.

My only reservation is that it isn't the best for listening to bass heavy music. So, if you aren't into EDM or Metal, these pair of earphones are probably the best you can get in the market for the price.

Great earbuds, as expected from RHA. Top quality, the space of audio in the earbuds is exceptional. Fit is secure and good touch controls once you get the hang of it. Might not be satisfactory for some bass heavy users, since the audio profile is very neutral and well balanced, but you can always tweak it through software. Good battery life, wearable for long hours. Haven't got to test the waterproofing but sure it'd work. Checks every box satisfactorily.

Waited for a year for RHA to release the True Connect 2. Fan of RHA ever since I tried and bought their MA750i.

The True Connect 2 sounds good, though not as good as the wired MA750i. For this reason, I have taken away a star from the rating. But in all other aspects, especially the battery life, which I haven’t charged since 2 weeks, using the buds with a usage of 1-2 hours everyday, the case still shows more than 50% battery remaining. It is a big plus for me.

Connectivity is great. Not a single drop till now. Used them near my phone till now.

Build quality of the buds as well as the case is awesome. The case feels a little bulky in the pocket.

Call quality is good and clear.

Compared with the Apple Airpods, the advantage in RHA is the control buttons on the buds, which lets one control almost everything related to music, calling, and connecting to a new device. One has to disconnect from the first device in order to connect with the second audio playing device.

Fantastic multi-purpose earbuds. If you are looking for high performance ear buds primarily for music, this isn’t meant for you. This is more of an all-rounder which also does music well. This really comes into its own in the virtual meeting/ taking calls/ casual music listening use cases. Amazing in-ear comfort, can do hours of meetings without too much discomfort. Great battery life as well, have been using it for about a week now averaging about 8 hrs a day of continuous use and charging every 2 days.

Audio- 5/5. Clear balanced sound across low, mid and high.
Calls- 3/5. Mic picks up and amplifies background noise.
Build quality- 5/5. Durable. Wide range of non foam sized buds.
Controls- 4.5/5. Subjectively found the touch controls a little finnicky. Took time to get used to it.
Battery. 5/5. Phenomenal. Buds last for four hours. Case lasts practically forever, charges fast as well.

the most satisfying pair of buds I ever purchased. Voice quality on call is also good reduce about 50-60% of wind blast and noises of outside. Thumbs up.

Its been 4 days and i still haven't found a good fit for these...either they fall out or hurt my ears.
Sound too is neutral nothing exceptional
I bought these as it seemed very comfortable for prolonged use,but so far my ears have rejected them😅. Buy them if you can get them for discount
