A CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED, ALL-ROUND DAC FOR A POWERFUL SONIC PERFORMANCE
Taking the ADI-2 Pro a notch higher, the ADI-2 DAC FS features an upgraded, high-end AD/DA converter with two outputs for headphones and IEMs each and an efficient remote control. The background noise and other forms of audio distortions are taken care of by the advanced analogue output stage. This all-around setup allows the ADI-2 DAC FS to function as a reference DAC and it has been acclaimed by critics for its sound, dynamics and technical features.
DESIGNED FOR AN ENHANCED AND DISTORTION-FREE AUDIO OUTPUT
The upgraded ADI-2 DAC FS uses AKM's AK4493 chipset, supported by a specifically created circuit that helps the chip produce a great performance. Noise levels are kept to a minimum of 123 dBA, distortion to a minimum of -120 dB, and THD+N to a minimum of -116 dB. The IEM output has the lowest noise through a headphone output in the entire globe at -121 dBu. The ADI-2 DAC FS further improves things by providing 4 dB of digital headroom, enabling you to listen to music at high volumes without experiencing perceptible distortion. The volume control is now only used to provide an output of an undistorted analogue signal. This DAC has a low dispersion feature with a new configurable digital filter.
OFFERING SUPER LOW NOISE OUTPUT FOR HIGHLY SENSITIVE IEMS
Modern highly sensitive IEMs often face issues like floor noise and other kinds of audio distortions. The ADI-2 DAC FS uses RME-powered IEM output which brings down the noise floor to an exceptional 10 dB. Even the output impedance is near zero ohms while the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) reaches new record lows. With click-free on/off and volume ramp-up option, you can use this DAC with any IEM without losing on the sound quality.
THE MOST REQUESTED FEATURE OF AN AUTODARK MODE IS HERE
One of the most frequently requested improvements by owners of the older ADI-2 Pro is autoDark mode. In the AutoDark mode, if there is no user interaction for 10 seconds, the display, function keys, standby button, and volume knob will turn off. Any button; or control you press will turn on; the lights for 10 seconds. If you press any button on the remote, the lights will turn on for three seconds even if the AutoDark mode is turned off.
CONTROL UNDER YOUR FINGERTIPS WITH MULTI-REMOTE SUPPORT (MRC)
You can effectively handle your DAC with the remote that comes with the ADI-2 DAC FS. The buttons on this remote are marked and are readable in low light. These ergonomically created buttons are evenly spaced out and arranged so that they are simple for you to memorise. There are dedicated buttons for standby on/off, volume, balance, bass and treble, input selection (optical, coaxial, USB), mute, on/off loudness, bass/treble and EQ. For more versatility; 4 programmable buttons allow you to access 32 different functions and commands. This remote is not just an add-on accessory but a sophisticated tool to help you manage your DAC the way you want to.
INTEGRATION OF STEADYCLOCK FS FOR RELIABLE AND UNCOMPROMISED PERFORMANCE
Over the years, the SteadyClock FS has been acclaimed for its exceptional performance in various RME devices. SteadyClock is a part of the ADI-2 DAC FS assuring that the integration of an internal clock yields as good of a result as an external clock. It gets rid of internal jitter to a record low level and efficiently manages to handle all kinds of digital interface formats. The design and functions are so flawless that it was adopted into the ADI-2 DAC as is.
A BIT TEST TO ENSURE NOTHING HINDERS THE OUTCLASS PERFORMANCE
A bit test is utilised to ensure that the playback path does not alter the playback data unnecessarily. This test checks for proper channel assignment, left/right synchronicity and polarity. It also highlights cuts in bits, the presence of audio dither or other undesirable changes that can hinder the performance. The Bit test not only highlights these errors but also ensures that these errors are removed from the system for unrivalled performance.

Having wasted lacs on 3 DACs at different spots of product range, I have finally got my end-game DAC.
iFi Zen Dac V2 - 13k odd. Nice for instruments but very very unnatural vocals.
iFi Neo IDSD - 65k odd. Very very good, at everything. I was impressed, I thought these DACs will only get better with more money spent. Decided to go really big.
Ordered Focal Arche to complement my Focal Stellia. Brand cancelled the order.
So I moved on and chose the Chord Hugo 2 - 165k. Pathetic. Shrill-mill. Instruments wise good, but very harsh vocals. This product is a con-job. Only thing great about it is the silver finish and colourful buttons.
Highly disappointed, but still requiring a DAC, I decided to make one last buy - do or die - so I went with a recommendation from Varun at Headphonezone.in.
The RME ADI 2 is extremely good all round, lacking nothing. Sweet sweet music and natural vocals. (Hate the black colour and bland design though) Finally happy.
Having said that the iFi Neo IDSD is the better value and virtually the same in terms of quality. Cracking looks and design too.
Lesson learnt - Expensive is not always better.
The DAC sounds great in its first hours of playing, and will hopefully only get better. A noticeable improvement on the M-DAC Mini, particularly in the low frequencies and overall clarity. Delivery time was shorter than expected and than had been communicated to me - an additional pleasant surprise.

It may seems a bit pricy to some users but believe me its worth it the DAC stands in its own class you are not just paying for the DAC chip which is very details and one of the best i have listened but the software and feature which are inbuild this DAC is outstanding lots of options and feature you will need your own time to learn those things
