Final Audio A5000: It Won't Win the Spec Race, But It'll Win Your Smile

The Final Audio A5000 is one of those earphones that clearly focuses more on quality than quantity. The box is pretty big for what you get, and at first glance you may expect a lot more accessories considering the price. But once you actually unbox it, the message is clear — Final Audio cared more about giving you a refined product than stuffing the package with extras.

The included silver stranded cable looks and feels premium. No tangling of the cables. Nothing flashy, nothing overdone, just clean and classy, 5 different sets of Final E tips of various sizes, a pair of translucent white ear hooks, a premium silicone case. That pretty much sums up the A5000 as a whole. It is not trying to win any spec race, but it definitely wins on sheer listening enjoyment.

Build and fit

The A5000 uses an ABS resin housing with a narrow front section, and the build feels solid enough for regular use. The Shibo finish is one of those love-it-or-hate-it things, but I personally like it. No fingerprint or sweat stains, looks clean always.

Fit is another area where Final Audio clearly put some thought. The shell is designed to sit using three contact points with the outer ear, which helps balance stability and comfort. In hand and in ear, the A5000 feels well put together. It does not feel fragile, and the weight is also very light and manageable.

Sound signature

The A5000 is basically tuned in a classic V-shape, though not a crazy one. Bass and treble are lifted, while the mids are a bit recessed. But the good thing is that it is done in a controlled way, so the tuning still feels musical and enjoyable.

Bass

Sub-bass is fully extended and sits a little above the midbass in emphasis. It is not overdone, but it gives a nice rumble when the track calls for it. It is present enough to be satisfying, without turning muddy or bloated.

Midbass is tight, fast, and nicely shaped. The notes have a nice pulpy texture, and decay stays controlled. Bass has good impact, but it does not spill over into the mids, which keeps the whole presentation clean.

Mids

The mids are recessed, but they are still delivered well. They do not sound empty or weak, just pushed slightly back in the mix because of the V-shaped tuning.

Female vocals come through especially nicely. They sound sparkly, energetic, and clear. Male vocals are also handled well, especially baritones and bass voices, which still have good authority and weight.

Treble

Treble is probably the most mixed part of the tuning. On one hand, it has good energy, sparkle, and clarity without sounding thin or sharp. On the other hand, it can feel a little lacking in air, and there is a bit of sibilance on some tracks.
It is just there at the very edge where it feels like a pinch more of treble and you’ll shout and remove the iem out. They have managed to go till there very tastefully done.
So overall, the treble is exciting and detailed, but not perfectly smooth. Depending on your taste, that can be either a strength or the one area that bothers you a bit.

Technical performance

This is where the A5000 really stands out.

Microdynamics are excellent. It is very easy to pick out instruments, and their placement on the stage feels very natural. Imaging is one of the strongest points here.

Detail retrieval is also very impressive, especially in the low mids and midbass. In the treble, it is still above average, but not quite as effortless because the top end can get a little hot at some tracks. You may wanted to less -0.5db there.

Driver and design idea

Final Audio says they completely redesigned the f-Core DU driver for the A5000, and that really shows in the way it performs.

The 6mm dynamic driver was developed from scratch, and the attention to detail is honestly impressive. This is not a hype product. It feels like a proper engineering-first design aimed at getting clean, fast, and refined sound from a small dynamic driver.

Final thoughts

The Final Audio A5000 is a very well-made earphone that focuses on musicality, technical performance, and a premium feel. It is not the kind of IEM that overwhelms you with accessories or looks like a spec monster. Instead, it quietly impresses with its tuning, imaging, detail, and overall refinement.

The bass is tight and controlled, the vocals are clear, the treble is energetic, and the imaging is excellent. The recessed mids and slightly uneven treble may not suit everyone, but if you like a lively V-shaped tuning with good technical ability, the A5000 is a seriously good option.

It is more of quality than quantity. It may not win the spec race, but it definitely wins the smile on your face.

Awesome earphone but I need little bit more.

I tested this Final A5000 with my FiiO JM21 DAC, and what stood out immediately was the big soundstage and airy presentation. Instruments feel more spread out with good separation, and the bass has nice body without getting muddy. It sounds natural and immersive, especially for vocals and acoustic tracks, making it very easy to listen to for long sessions.

Compared to my Letshuoer S12 Pro, the A5000 is less about resolution and micro-details. The S12 Pro sounds richer and reveals more texture, but the A5000 gives me a wider, more open feel. One drawback I noticed is that since the A5000 comes with a 3.5mm cable, it has less gain on the JM21 than my 4.4mm balanced IEMs. That makes the dynamics feel a bit softer.

Overall, the A5000 pairs well with the JM21 if you want spacious, natural, and fatigue-free sound, while the S12 Pro remains better for sheer detail and resolution.

Final A5000 easily surpassed every instrument i ever had to listen to music be it KZ ZX10 Pro, Audio Technica M 50, 1More Triple driver, VModa, Sony XM4, XM5, Samsung Buds 3 Pro, Senheiser Momentum.
The emotion and experience is impossible to put in words accurately so I will only say it's a no-nonsense IEM made just to satiate a Die-Hard Audiophile, that's it.
What will melt your ears is it's natural Tonality, clean Separation, almost 3d placement of instruments in a ultra Wide soundstage, ample Bass, Full and Potent Sound and specially the caressing warmth without compromising the brightness, I tried many Chi-Fi product at Headphone Connect Event ranging from 2000 to 10000 but found all of them extremely biased towards brightness even to the point of being screechy.
Final Audio has managed to get that almost perfect balance of warmth and brightness, I was super impressed by their humbly priced VR 500 as well.
To sum it up if you are a true Audiophile you will get much more than what you spend here, the satisfaction that it deliver is priceless.

First Final Audio IEM and its very promising...

I have a bunch of IEMs that I generally rotate from ety er3xr, periodic audio be, drop erx and sennheiser ie 300 balanced and this is my first Final Audio IEM...
I will not say I'm totally blown away because it is competing against pretty good competition.. that said it is very promising in the early days because I have observed that dynamic driver IEMs grow over a period of time..
One observation is you need to feed it with very good source and hi-res audio only, otherwise you'll definitely be disappointed.. I'm currently driving them in balanced mode from BTR7 and I can easily differentiate when a song is mastered good and when it's not.. most of my other dynamic IEMs are good even if the mastering is ok, not with a5000.. but when it's good, a5000 soars and I'm hoping it will get much better as it ages.. very happy with the addition.. HPZ is doing amazing job as always..

My final (endgame) IEM from the house of Final Audio !

My search for a perfect iem ends here. I have owned many iem's that is Blon bl03, Tin Hifi T2, T3 plus, Soundmagic e10c and 1custom Junior. Nothing comes close to final A5000 in smoothness and technicalities. I had three iem in mind that is Moondrop Kato, Blessing 3 and Final A5000. I did a lot of research and finally decided to go with the Final A5000 and made the right choice.
I suggest you guys to pair this iem with DAC OR DAP to unlock the full potential of the A5000 because it's a little bit power hungry. I am using this iem with Hiby r6 gen III DAP and it sounds awesome.
I know that A5000 is on a pricier side but it justifies the price in build quality, sound quality, comfort, cable quality, E tips and technicalities. So i am going to divide my opinion into Bass, Mids, Treble, Soundstage and imaging

BASS- A5000 is more of a quality than quantity. The texture of the bass and timbre is so awesome that i haven't heard that in any of the iem i have mentioned above. There is enough sub bass rumble but not like a basshead iem, It's there when you need it. The mid bass is where the iem shines, its beautifully done.The bass dosen't bleed into the mids or overpower any of the other frequencies. So the Bass is excellent on a5000. (5/5)

MIDS- The mids are slightly recessed but not to a point that it sounds very v shaped iem. I felt that the male vocals is a bit recessed than the female vocals.The male vocals could have used like 1 or 2 db of forwardness. This is the only nitpicking i have with this iem. But the vocals sound so transparent, smooth and clean that you will never miss that forwardness. The female vocals really do shine. So the Mids are excellent. (4.5/5)

TREBLE- There is no harshness or sibilance that i found. The extention of the treble is excellent. Its airy and have good sparkle without being fatigue. The details are awesome also. You hear every nuances in the track. So the treble is detailed and beautifully done. (5/5)

SOUNDSTAGE and IMAGING- This is where the A5000 excels. The soundstage is so good, its unbelievable at this price point. The width of the soundstage is very large and height is above average. It sounds freaking amazing. Coming to the imaging, it's spot on. Imaging is soo good that you can actually pin point the exact direction of where the sound is coming. so(5/5)

I've watched some reviewers comparing this Final a5000 to Sennheiser ie600 which is double the price and they claim that the sound quality comes close to 80% of the ie600, which is considered audiophile heaven among the audiophiles. So, if you guys want to purchase this iem, go ahead and buy it. I guarantee you that you wont regret your decision. And if you guys are planning to buy an iem that is around 15-20k, i suggest you to save up some money and extend your budget to 25k and buy this Final A5000. Once again i know it's on the pricier side but its worth it.

It sounds well in sound stage, not extraordinary

It sounds well in sound stage, not extraordinary... But quite distinct for a 6mm driver in other brands.

Yeah I have an Android with hifi res audio support.. May be i should opt for some DAC, to have a wow that others experience in this performer.

Yes still it slightly lacks the WOW factor i expect with reality and resolution.

Some of classic earphone i used, create sounds you can't seperate it from the real world sounds... So sometimes you experience real thunders while hearing thunder in earphone... That sudden WOW is missing with slight reduction in resolution.

Lows, mids are performing well, treble has slight harsh...at higher volumes.

Overall I would rate 8/10

Resolution:7.5/10
Bass:9/10
Mids:9/10
Highs: 8/10

I reduce only one star because of missing of WOW factor.

Not love at first listen

At first, I was honestly disappointed with the Final A5000. It didn't have the instant wow factor I was expecting, especially coming from more bass-heavy IEMs. But the more I listened, the more I understood what it was doing. It has truly aged like fine wine. The soundstage, imaging, and detail retrieval are exceptional, and the sub-bass is incredibly deep when the track calls for it. It's not an IEM that impresses in 5 minutes it rewards patience. Now I genuinely enjoy listening to it, and going back to my older earphones makes them feel congested and less refined.

There is nothing like that moment when the gear disappears and only the music remains.

Enjoyable v shape sound

The bass is meaty and the treble is not harsh,very nicely done.The soundstage is wide, doesn't feel like everything is inside your head.Very good iem for long hours of listening. Mids are recessed but that's what makes them good for laid back listening, unlike ie600 which is quite fatiguing due to peaking treble. Very comfortable iems !

My experience after burn in, clear, wide soundstage, great imaging. Especially for me great for long listening time, very comfort and no pressure build up.
