Buying his DAC is only worth it if you are listening on a budget phone (approx. ₹10K). Then only do you get a noticeably significant upgrade in audio quality. Larger devices such as desktop & laptop, or more expensive phones have a good enough internal DAC which renders this upgrade negligible or unnecessary.
Note - This is my first ever purchased DAC, and I am using it with KZ - ZEX.

I had bought a KZ ZSN pro x for myself. At first the sound was pretty clear.
But i wanted to use this with my phone but unfortunately my phone does not had a 3.5 mm input. So opted for this.
Man, i was not ready for this! The sound clarity this DAC gives is beyond what i had imagined. I used to play songs at full volume with every earphone, headphone, earbuds i had as of this moment. But with this DAC, i had to lower the volume. IT IS LOUD!!!
My conclusion is, i will never go back to wireless headphones.
Only thing that bugs me is a hissing sound when i connect to my phone, other than that all is good.

At first, I was sceptical about buying this one as it is a new product and only few reviews are available. But after using the product for two days, I have to admit that it exceeded my expectations. Here are my speculations about KZ - AM01:
1. It has the same DAC chip as of the famous Abigail Pro which is the CX31993 chip (written in the packaging). I have never used the Abigail Pro, but this dac is quite good considering the price point. It can play Hi-Res audio as I streamed Hi-Res audio files from Tidal using USB audio player pro in my android phone, and the music coming out of this dac is much more clearer and crispier compared to the built-in dac of the phone. I tested it with IEMs like Moondrop chu II and Final E3000. The dongle dac can drive them effortlessly. I have also used Audiotechnica ATH-M50X with this dac and the experience was quite good. My daily driver is ifi zen dac v2, but I have to admit that this tiny little piece of a dongle dac did not make me miss the zen dac, which is very surprising to me.
2. Along with a dac this product also has an independent amplifier chip which is a really good thing to have considering the price.
3. It has 1 year of warranty while the Abigail Pro only has 3 months of warranty.
4. The build quality is good, doesn't feel cheap.
5. I have used this dac with my laptop too, and there also it did quite well.
Overall, the KZ AM01 is a superb dongle dac with great value for money. And I will like to mention that if anyone finds there is not much of a difference between the sound coming out of this dac and the built-in dac then the problem is not in this dac but the headphone or IEM that is being used, as a dac can never make a bad quality headphone sound good, on the other hand, even if someone is using an average quality dac a good headphone will always sound good.

The product does improve the sound but adds a weird hissing sound alongside which is really really noticeable. Idk if it's the compatibility with my device or fault in the specific piece I got. I'm returning this.
