Planar Magnetic Drivers

Planar magnetic drivers combine characteristics of several driver types. They employ magnetic fields akin to dynamic and balanced armature drivers. However, planar magnetic drivers, like electrostatic drivers, use a flat, thin diaphragm in contrast to a coil. The planar drivers are known for their quick transient response.

Closed-Back Design

Closed-Back design earphones/IEMs are completely sealed around the earpiece completely sealed around the earpiece, allowing the sound to travel directly into your ears. This means that closed-back earphones/IEMs block out more outside noise, yielding much better isolation.

The main advantage of closed-back earphones/IEMs is that they isolate you from the outside world, allowing you to concentrate solely on the music.

Closed-back earphones/IEMs usually provide a better bass extension, as open-backs traditionally struggle in the lows. All in all, these are excellent options for music listening and even stage performances.

Replaceable Cables

A pair of headphones with a replaceable cable has many benefits, and one of them is if the connecting cable has a problem, it doesn’t mean that you have to buy a new one. If the connecting cable gets pulled or damaged, you can replace it and keep using your good-old headphones or IEMs. This way, your headphones will be protected and will last longer. With the advancements in cable manufacturing, you now get a variety of replacement cables with various termination options, lengths and quality.

Tangle-Free Cables

Every time you reach for earphone/IEM cables to connect them to your earphones/IEM, no matter how neatly you "wrapped" them up, they end up in a giant Gordian knot of frustration. Tangled cables are the bane of modern existence, and everyone owning a wired pair of earphones/IEM can attest to this.

With advances in cable-making techniques and radical approaches to manufacturing, there are now several solutions to this universal problem. You get Flat cables, Mesh Design cables, cables coated with exterior covers and cables designed with a zipper style design to avoid Tangle and attempt to solve the issue.

The Audeze Euclid is amongst the first few IEMs to incorporate a full-sized planner magnetic driver. With Audeze’s expertise in planar drivers, what you get in the Euclid is superior detail retrieval and sonic accuracy with a soundstage, unlike any IEMs.

Excellent IEMs

Wonderful and very enjoyable IEMs. First I was concerned because right out-of-the-box they sounded closed up and congested, soundstage was rather small. But after around 100 hours of breaking-in, they started to open up, highs became smoother, bass more articulate and full. They sound balanced across entire spectrum. Soundstage is now larger and taller. I guess as many other items they require some time to settle in and show what they can do.
As always headphone Zone services are top notch, great packaging and quick delivery.

Hey Liudmila, thank you so much for the amazing feedback! It means a lot to us. We are so happy to hear that you are loving our products and services.

Sounds as expected, but with minor physical issues

Bought a B-stock item with a serious discount.
Upon close inspection found following defects:
1) a slightly deformed nozzle with a scratch, seems to be a result of falling onto a hard surface (concrete)
2) 4.4 mm adapter missing
3) inside the bag with Spinfit eartips, only S and L sizes were actually Spinfit, the M size was just another pair of standard black M size tips.
The earphone sounds as expected (already had a listen earlier), so I guess even with the issues above it still fits into a B-stock category.
I was buying them as an IEM equivalent of Hifiman Arya. The main differences would be (on Euclid):
- good insulation
- much darker highs
- sub-bass extension is slightly worse (by 3 Hz): when listening to sine wave sweeps, on Arya it starts to significantly roll-off around 32-33 Hz (to my ear), whereas Euclid around 35-36 Hz. Not critical but noticeable on well-known songs.
- soundstage of Euclid is decent for a close-back, but tiny in comparison to Arya's
- Technically: very similar (single large planar driver)
- Tuning-wise, pretty much opposite: Arya - brightish and revealing + nearly perfect sub-bass quality, Euclid - darkish and thick + good sub-bass quality
I would say Euclid provides a very different tuning flavour with similar technicalities.

Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!
