Redefining Neutral Signature

The Angle sound have neutral signature. There is no to none brilliance or bass boost happening.
It's very dynamic in nature like if song have spikes in loudness of music Angel handles it to perfection but it doesn't put that loudness to your face that it overcomes anything.

Usage wise it's fairly very simple to use plug and play.
The volume knob is steped and is digital also double as power/mute button.
There is no analogue input which is a big con for this device as it's amp section is good. Only input is coaxial/toslink combo jack and USB C.
Output is dual bal 4.4mm and single ended 3.5(no gold plated connector despite being so expensive).

Big Cons for me:
1. The battery management is poor, you need to have a 5v 2A charger or battery life is very low and it can degrade. AVG battery life on 560s and Sundara is 3-4 hours on AVG, with IEMs it's 4-5 hours.
2. If you take out the front output the amp resets and some time freezes until restart, you will need to use the volume knob to pause before you take out any output devices. This is not happening on line/pre out.
3. It gets very hot on high gain with headphone and if you connect to charging while playing it gets even hotter.

Apart from above con there is no other complaint.

The sound really works good with my collection of music (rock, pop, jpop, classical, Hindi, etc).
I wanted a neutral dac initially and didn't gave thought to this but recently on Raghav's bday sale it was on 44k and is a very good deal.

The device really shines as a very good dac and amp. It really get along with my 560s and sundaras. The way it handled my focals (clear OG and Elegia) was very good.
It tamed downed the bassy nature of the headphones and also fixed the brilliance of my sundaras.
It's sound is very detailed in all ranges of frequency of sound.
And the cherry on top is immersive sound stage and imaging.
It's like 'one for all' (reference:my hero academia).

It also pair very well with my MT-604 and Fiio K9 Pro AKM.

Compare:
With Mojo: The angel is more detailed and have better sound stage. Mojo sounds bit more dynamic but overall Angel is preferred for most genres.

K9 Pro AKM: the details are on same level as I have learnt but to many Angel can sound more detailed. K9 Pro AKM is bit bassy in comparison and also more dynamic. K9 also sound slightly bit more hollow graphics in nature. The punches of K9 Pro have slow decay where is Angel bass is bit tight with rapid decay.

Fiio M11 Plus: Angel is 10-20% better than M11 in terms of details and sound stage. And have more power. Like Sundaras can sound but spicy in highs on M11 but on Angel the sound becomes more smooth and details.

This device does fit well in my collection and I am very happy with it.
It is expensive though but sound quality makes up for it. But again the usage left me with more to desire like bluetooth and better battery management.

Thanks HPZ!

A brilliant sounding DacAmp

I auditioned it at the HeadphoneZone Office in Mumbai. Compared it with the other options - Chord Mojo2 and iFi Gryphon and some daps too. Found the Angel to be an amazing sounding Dac/Amp. The Angel has a light weight and can be easily carried along with the phone, though it is bit big in size that Mojo2 and Gryphon. It has a very clean sound without any added colour. Mojo2 has a very laid back sound and does not sound as clean and crisp. Cleary, Mojo2 is very overpriced. Gryphon is a great device with multiple options - ifi silencer and bluetooth functionality, but sound-wise I found Angel to be bit better than it.
