I am not an audiophile, but I like good sounding music. I was looking at a decent pair of starter earphones that I could use for my daily commute and my travel and those that did not break the bank while sounding awesome.
I did my research and then, I saw the video that Raghav put up where he compared a few earphones below Rs. 2,000. That sounded like the perfect budget and I zeroed in on these A-Jays Five which I chose purely because of their robust look - what with the flat cables and all.
The sound is awesome. I am actually able to make out the difference in the few FLAC files I have and even when listening to CDs (yes, I am proud - I still listen to CDs and love the experience). The audio books I listen to also have a different listening experience - I dunno the technical term, but they sound so much better. So all in all, a great purchase and I use these pretty regularly.
Thanks Headphone Zone for the recommendation and really, you guys should put out more such videos that will help noobs like me.
I have since picked up a pair of Beyerdynamic Byrons (from Amazon, I confess, not from HPZ, but the price was just irresistible) which are equally awesome. However, overall, I find myself reaching for these A-Jays Five more often, mostly because these just feel so much more robust and better equipped to handle the rough and tumble of Mumbai commutes.
Thanks again, HPZ for your recommendation and the sweet deal on these A-Jays Five. Cheers!
I totally recommend these as your everyday earphones. Great sound. Though I cannot express cool sounding terms like an audiophile; I would say these have great overall sound and even the bass is good. Not that thumpy like some philips workout earphones that I have used earlier but a very good overall sound signature than most costly earphones out there.
Pros: 1. Great sound. 2. Good comfort with the range of earbuds provided and the memory foam earbud is a must for getting the max out of these. 3. Great value for money at the price that headphonezone is giving it off. 4. Fabulous build quality and from a rough user like me using these in local trains - these are just built to last. 5. Absolutely fantastic packaging for the price. 6. Very comfortable especially with the memory foam earbuds Cons: 1. The jays app is shitty 2. cant be too greedy here. Go for it people if you need a cost effective and efficient piece of hardware thats worth every buck and even more
Just felt that earplugs falls easily and mids were low other wise they are worth money
It's not satisfied me. Prize is high but product quality is not high.
I waited 5 months to review this earphones, I was excited when I got the product on my hand at the time of delivery, and also each time when I open the box to hear some music, never disappointed in its aspects of sound quality, very crispy low frequencies, clearer mids, low high frequencies are perfect for me(balanced)and punching bass which won't gives much stress in your ears, so you can listen for longer periods. Vocal clarity is never been perfect at this range of earphones. So if you listen to house music a lot I would prefer to u this personally. And the worst part is that my right side earpiece is broken today and filed for a replacement. Wires are so solid, as it was meant to be long lasting, and untangling is easy.
with natural base and sound clarity was good,
drawback IS MAINLY IT WAS SUITS FOR EARS
