5. I’d like to make changes to/cancel my order?
You can only cancel/make changes to your order until we place the order with the brand. Since the product is specifically being ordered for you, we will be unable to cancel/make changes once we order the product from the brand.

In case you receive the DENAFRIPS - Ares 12th-1 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you
- The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein)

For several years, DENAFRIPS has been renowned for its development and design of R-2R DACs. The Ares II, now named the Enyo, gained significant acclaim in the audiophile community for its purely analogue sound. Building on this success, DENAFRIPS has reimagined the Ares 12th-1, adding the convenience of connectivity to DENAFRIPS DDC (Digital-to-Digital Converter) and compatible I²S transports, enabling you to leverage the benefits of the I²S connection. The Ares 12th-1 operates as a non-oversampling R-2R DAC, ensuring the incoming signal maintains its original sampling rate without additional processing. As a genuine NOS (Non-Oversampling) DAC, the Ares 12th-1 remains committed to preserving the audio signal's integrity without alteration. If you value high-quality, emotive, and analogue-like sound in your music, the Ares 12th-1 DAC could be a pivotal component in your stereo audio setup.

TRUE BALANCED R-2R ARCHITECTURE & UPDATED INTERNALS FOR PURE ANALOGUE SOUND

The DENAFRIPS Ares 12th-1 incorporates an exclusive Balanced R-2R + 6-bit DSD architecture, offering a pure and organic audio experience. It supports up to 24-Bit/1536KHz, native DSD1024 (Direct Stream Digital), and PCM1536 (Pulse Code Modulation), making it a Digital To Analogue Converter with an R-2R DAC and discrete resistors. A notable addition is the customised AC mains power socket, designed in-house using UPOCC gold-plated copper, emphasising the importance of high-quality power supply for superior sound. The Ares 12th-1 features a non-switched AC mains socket and is further enhanced by a 60VA O-Core Shielded Transformer, also crafted in-house with UPOCC copper. In the DENAFRIPS Ares 12th-1, these resistors are of the highest quality, boasting 0.01% high precision, and they undergo a meticulous manufacturing process that incurs additional costs, contributing to the DAC's advanced technology. Each of these resistors is handpicked, methodically matched through precision machining, and verified by human oversight to meet stringent quality standards and exhibit minimal thermal impact. A total of 480 of these precision resistors work in harmony to deliver a remarkably musical listening experience. The Ares 12th-1 employs an Altera FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for its Digital Signal Processing, offering an unparalleled musical journey.

ENHANCED LINEAR POWER SUPPLY FUSED WITH LINEAR REGULATORS DELIVER JITTER-FREE AUDIO

The DENAFRIPS Ares 12th-1 showcases an enhanced Linear Power Supply section, now integrated with a capacitors bank that bears the 'DENAFRIPS' brand, all manufactured according to DENAFRIPS' precise audio specifications. Alongside the constant current LDO Linear Regulators, a substantial heatsink is securely affixed. To cater to the power needs of the FPGA, modular USB module, and balanced R-2R Ladder Networks, eight multi-stage LDO Linear Regulators are deployed. Within this device, DENAFRIPS takes the extra step of hand-winding the oversized O-Core transformer, meticulously including multiple layers of copper shielding between the windings. This particular design choice effectively reduces both electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic fields (EMF).

EXPERTLY DESIGNED TO BE SCALABLE WITH THOUGHTFULLY IMPLEMENTED INPUTS & OUTPUTS

The DENAFRIPS Ares 12th-1 now boasts an anodised aluminium chassis available in both silver and black colour options, catering to those who prefer a more compact DAC with a silver finish. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the Ares 12th-1 enhances the already impressive build quality of the Ares 12th. This new iteration includes an I²S input and has undergone a redesign of both the back and front panels. The I²S connection enables compatibility with the DENAFRIPS DDC (Digital To Digital Converter) and other I²S transport options. The front panel incorporates input selection buttons for USB, COAX, OPT, I2S, OS/NOS, Phase, and Mute. Meanwhile, the rear panel has been upgraded to offer XLR and RCA as analogue outputs and Coax, Optical, I2S, and USB as inputs, providing increased flexibility for the Ares 12th-1.
