RIGID MACHINED STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING FUSED WITH AN ACOUSTIC CHAMBER

The Final E5000 is made with premium quality materials and utmost precision. The housing for the earpiece is made out of highly rigid machined stainless steel with a mirror finish to support the driver unit and suppress any unnecessary vibrations. This design and selected materials are contributing elements enhancing sound quality. This is a design that has a simple shape and a high-quality texture matched with classic sound quality. There is an acoustic resistor inside the rear housing of the driver unit, and this controls the low mid-range frequency characteristics that determine the framework of the sound quality. At the end of this, there is a pipe bent into an L-shape (acoustic chamber) which is necessary for tuning. With this, we have achieved a balance between volume and clarity.

HIGH PURITY OFC SILVER-PLATED CABLE WITH MMCX CONNECTOR

Final E5000 comes with high-purity OFC silver coated cables that provide a wide soundstage. These cables are developed in partnership with Junkosha corporation to be used with the supercomputer “Kei” for their fast signal transmission. The insulator film is made from PFA which was also developed by Junkosha corporation, who used their extensive knowledge to create the ultimate in low-permittivity material. The outer tube is made from PVC for maximum flexibility. You will experience surprising flexibility that both makes the cable extremely easy to use as well as reducing the likelihood of microphonics. In addition, the MMCX plug and the 3.5 mm mini-plug have far exceeded the regular QA pass criteria of a 5,000-time bend test by changing the connection design to one that can withstand more than 50,000 bends, making it truly durable. This durable cable and connector make connecting to a source device easy and seamless.

UNIQUE SWING-FITTING EARPIECE MECHANISM FOR COMFORT & FLEXIBILITY

The Final E5000 has been designed to provide the utmost comfort and durability. Featuring a unique swing-fit mechanism allowing the earpiece to be able to move left and right and tilt towards the audio canal for a perfect fit. These prevent changes in shape owing to the aperture of the earpiece coming into contact with the auditory canal. The sound is transmitted directly to the eardrum, delivering clear sound.

ENGINEERED TO SOUND STUNNING WITH REGULAR USE

The Final E5000 comes embedded with driver units with a diaphragm attached to a voice coil and adhesive agent. With audio signals flowing, the diaphragm moves in minute increments along with the voice coil allowing the sound to be produced. Over time, the diaphragm moves efficiently and the sound changes or ‘ages’. The E5000 has a small aperture, and so an extended period is necessary for changes through ageing to become noticeable. When used for over 150-200 hours, it should feel as though the sound has become stable. Favourable outcomes can be obtained through the ageing of the product, by listening to the music you normally listen to at a volume you usually listen to.

BUNDLED WITH HIGH-QUALITY EAR HOOKS FOR A COMFORTABLE WEARING EXPERIENCE

The E5000 comes bundled with premium quality ear hooks that are crafted to fit everyone. The team at Final considered the key aspects to designing an ear hook that was comfortable to wear and discovered a form that was smaller than most existing ear hooks and that didn't utilise metal or resin wires. This decision allowed for a slimmer ear hook and one that feels premium to the touch, allowing the user to wear the earphones for extended periods and enjoy their music.

5 INTERCHANGEABLE EAR-TIPS AND A SILICONE CASE INCLUDED FOR ALL USERS

The ear tips for the Final E5000 have been designed from soft silicone for superior comfort and noise isolation. These come in 5 sizes and ensure that the sound is transmitted directly to the eardrum. Two types of silicon differing in rigidity are employed for the sound conduit and for the earbud that comes into contact with the user’s ear. The silicon used for the sound conduit is more rigid than that used for the earbud, and having groove processing applied to it, combines both strength and flexibility. These earphones also come bundled with a silicone carry case. With this silicon carry case, the cables can be rolled up and stored easily. The earphones themselves are gently secured using thin dome-shaped silicon covers making them perfect to carry along with you.

E3000....... but build quality is excellent on E5000.. feels very premium.........bye. hope this helps

Welcome to the dark side :)

If you already have the E3000 and you love it but wanted a bit more resolution, bass that is not boomy, more isolation, replaceable cables and of course have money to splurge then continue reading.

First thing comes to mind when listening: these are like HD 650s of IEMs. Smooth, dark, veiled, *insert random audiophile terms here for dark sounding* but don't let this put you off. These have no unnatural boost to treble so one would definitely think why does it cost 23k. It might even sound muffled and boomy especially for treble-heads BUT, beneath all these smoothness there is a very revealing and natural sounding IEMs that is hard to describe in pure words.

The tonal and timbre quality is unmatched at this price point and probably even higher up the ladder. These are definitely not the detail monsters but they make you love to listen to music they way it was recorded (albeit a slight boost in bass). More in detail below:

Bass: This is the highlight of the E5000. One word, the bass is "punchy" (way better than OH10) and does not overwhelm or bleed into mids. That's a hard feat to achieve with these micro drivers. The bass is not earth-shattering but they are present enveloping the whole music if that makes sense. The decay is just right and goes really deep. E3000 too has good bass but comparitively, the E5000 does it a lot better. E3000 can get congested in sound metal/heavy metal genre but the E5000 fixes all these just by the right amount of decay.

Mids: Natural sounding, the male vocals are a treat to listen to this. The timbre is perfect, coupled with a large soundstage (albeit lesser than E3000 but E3000 has poor isolation due to the open back grills). Soundstage is quite wide, probably on par with OH 10 and slightly wider than Blon Bl03 but lacks a bit in depth and height. You may not get a holographic sound but really good for an IEM.

Treble: This is a hit or miss. Coming from HD650s and other *dark* sounding headphones, I love the treble on these. You can listen to them all day, it is not fatiguing at all. The extension is decent and you can actually hear the cymbals at the very end of the soundstage. But definitely won't be appreciated by treble-heads on the first few minutes of listen. As I said earlier, these are quite resolving even for a dark sounding iem.

Build: The build quality is great with stainless steel finish (could be scratch prone though), the cables are really good but is very microphonic. The cables are fancy made by Junkosha and they might cost atleast 30 - 40% of the price which is the downside. The iems are bullet shaped, so the comfort is fine. One can sleep on the side wearing this.

Amping: These have a very low sensitivity 93db/mw but it should work fine with an apple dongle. Don't get fooled by some posts saying you need a desktop amp. You could calculate the power requirements online using a headphone power calculator. They sound a bit muffled (especially bass) when underpowered for sure and opens up with a bit more power.

Verdict: Do you need one? No. The E3000 does 95% of what E5000 do. I definitely prefer E3000 to E5000 for many reasons. E3000 has a wider soundstage due to open back design, so the instrument separation is great as well, a little boost to treble too so it really suits all genres. You could get the Final E clear tips to reduce the bass on E3000 or even EQ as per your taste. E3000 is very cheap so even if the cable breaks you could simply buy another. E3000 is also easier to drive than E5000 due to higher sensitivity. They are even lighter than E5000 so more comfortable.

Why would you need one? Just like me, If you are really satisfied with E3000 and want a similarly sounding and bullet shaped iem then E5000 is your next upgrade. E5000 fixes the bass, imaging and has better resolution than E3000 but it is up to you to decide if you want to pay the premium for a flagship. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback, we're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!

This is it.

I wanted something that would make the drums sound real. If you've stood in front of a drum set when it's bying played, you know what I mean. Not the 2 dimensional clickety clack in modern mixes. But that full bodied resonance.

These earphones let me understand if that drumskin is being tickled or being pounded. There is SO much more to this than just saying "bass-head". That term is almost an insult these days.

Here's to hearing bass WITH soundstage (close your eyes and you're ***ing there) and WITHOUT compromising overall musicality or coherence.

So,
"Danny Carey | Pnuema by Tool" (oh, so THAT'S what they sound like!), or "Mastodon - Toe to Toes [In-Studio Performance]" (goosebumps), or
"Alice In Chains - Would? (From MTV Unplugged)" (dear lord, that bass line)

You want emotion? Have at.

{ Shoutout to Virender who A/B'ed this with what I already had (FH3) and the other contender (Final E 3000) across my custom playlist. Thanks for being my ears, brother. You killed it. }
