Zhuhai Spark the parent company of Cayin announces that Cayin – N8 which is the flagship hi-res player of Cayin will now support MQA music through the new firmware update.
The new firmware update can either be downloaded from Cayin website or from the player when they get the upgrade alert next week.
For those who are not familiar with MQA let me tell you MQA stands for Master Quality Authenticated. This is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. All MQA encoded music is fully authenticated and plays 100% of the original studio performance. Most of the music services like Spotify and Apple Music offer standard, lossy compression music (256 kbps or 320 kbps) and MP3. To play MQA files you will need compatible hardware, such as music streamer or portable music player, or software like Tidal or Qobuz to decode the MQA files.
